Daniel had to pray for three weeks once before he received an answer (Daniel 10:10-14), because of angelic warfare.

What can the devil do to believers?

Only one thing.

Exploit our weaknesses in our Faith.

I agree Fez! We are made able to glorify God in obedience formed from faith in His Word-> satan's primary approach

is perverting that communication so we do not glorify... this robbery by theft and lie 'IS' the eternal flame of God's wrath

prepared for Him in the lake of fire. Let us reestablish our purpose, our sole purpose, to glorify the only perfect Being of eternity!

The Lord Jesus Christ and His Father by The Holy Spirit within us...   Love, Steven

Matt 17:19-21

19 Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, "Why could we not cast it out?" 20 And He said to them, "Because of the littleness of your faith; for truly I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you shall say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it shall move; and nothing shall be impossible to you. 21["But this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting ."]

NASB

sometimes when you tell them to leave they simply say no.......  I think this scripture explains why.

Satan's main objective is to go after God's people.  He can do it in a thousand ways, doubt, putting something in front of them that seems good but is opposed to God's word.

However, In my walk with the Lord I have learned that Satan only has as much power as you allow him to have.  The Bible says resist the devil and he will flee from you.  Jesus  in the wilderness used scripture to make him run.  I believe the children of God need to do the same.  Demons, devils and Satan himself shakes at the name of Jesus and His word.  Use it and use it often.

Satan knows what God says better than the average Christian. That's the best and oldest trick he has. Why stop when it keeps working.

Hosea 4:6

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.

The Bible itself says he comes to 1. steal 2. kill 3. destroy. I believe this is talking about Christians also. If it wasn't possible for him to I don't think we would have been warned. He is seeking those he is able to devour. I think all the comments are more pieces to the puzzle. Remember the temptation of Christ in Matthew 4 and how Christ resisted was by the Word of God. One of the other gospels says that Satan waited for a more opportune time after he had finished tempting Him. It was when Jesus was at the end of His 40 day fast when He was hungry and weak that Satan came. Satan don't fight fair. Also it says Satan physically placed Jesus on the temple mount. I believe James is again key as it was presented by Firestorm above. When we walk in disobedience we are not walking in God's authority as we have become a rebel to His authority. I think the armor also and the instructions that go with Ephesians 6 are vital which includes watching and praying. We are warned to be sober and vigilant. Love is a powerful defense. Remember the breastplate is not of faith only but love. The scripture says "when we fast". I believe fasting is something that we should do on a regular basis. Jesus said He has been given all authority but the nature of a thief and murderer is not that they have authority to steal, kill, and destroy but that they do so regardless. If we don't stand against him and fight in the power of the Holy Spirit, we can be stole from, killed, and destroyed.

I think we give Satan more power than he has, and that is to ease our own conscience instead of it being us who sinned.

Judas was named as one of the 12 disciples, he went out two by two preaching repent for the kingdom of God is near, heaing the sick and casting out demons, the scriptures clearly show he operated in the power of the Holy Spirit, trusted and chosen to hold the finances of the ministry, I'm not sure why people don't think he wasn't a believer

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
