Hey there reaperman, hang in there brother. There has been a lot replies to your post, because all of us on Worthy care about you. You had had a lot of advice and all of ot good and as you can see all of us have been there, particularly, myself, in the last three months. When I get on a downer, the Holy Spirit always qickens the same scripture to me and it is this

There hath been no temptation has been taken you but such is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able;but will with the temptation, also make a way to escape, that you may be able to bear it. 1st cor. 10:13

I thank God for that verse. it has encouraged me on countless occasions.

I give a hearty Amen to the prayer sent by brother Dave( Dr Luke) as I'm sure all on worthy boards do and fyi. God never sends anyone to hell. Never.

be blessed,brother.

eric.

Step One. Get a small knapsack and place in it a sandwich, some drink and a Bible then go for a long solitary walk...

Step Two. Find Somewhere that you can shout at the top of your voice and let out all the anger and frustration and tell G-d just how you feel...don't hold anything back ..be real and spontaneous.

Step Three. Dip into the Scriptures when you stop for rests along the way and read passages of truth and reality...that speak to your inner man at this time...perhaps Psalms...Romans...Ephesians etc.

Step Four. Allow the Holy Ghost to summarise your day for you...and your interaction with the L-rd...and to highlight certain truths pertaining to your walk with the L-rd. Faith...faith...faith...hope...hope...hope...LOVE.

He who is forgiven much...loves much.

Well, I think this is pretty good advice for more than Paul.

Paul, hang in there and give this a try. It sounds so good to me I may give it a try myself next week a time or two.....

Reaperman, I am so sorry for all you're going through. Brother, do not listen to those that say you ar stupid, or worthless, or anything like that. You are precious to our Lord. He died for YOU. You were created to be who you are, down to your hair color. Brother, you have such value!!

I know it's not easy. And this time of year seems to make all things seem worse. But take heart - because it won't stay this way forever. Do you realize how many times in the bible it says, "and it came to pass" ?? That means that an event came, and went. It was made history. So shall your events "come to pass."

Our walk with Christ is not easy. Yet He equips us to be able to do it. As you go along, you will strengthen. You will grow. You will bloom. Brother, you will live and do so exceeding abundant. Christ died so we could LIVE. Rejoice in Him. Remember, some day the sun will shine. The fog wil lift. The very air will smell fresher.

Father, protect this child of yours, and comfort him as only You can. I ask that you let him feel your very presence. I ask that you strengthen his heart and hold him close. Thank you for this precious brother. May his days be blessed and may he seek your face. Grow his desire for you Father. And increase his understanding of you. Thank you for your faithfulness Lord. In Jesus name I ask these things, and I pray that in this Jesus be glorified. Amen.

I thinks Botz' formula is a great start. I have in recent past been wanting to go OUT into the woods or the middle of a field and read or listen to my bible on CD or just meditate. Wonderful things can happen when we remove ourselves from the things of man. I would like to see the stars away from the city lights so I can remember how tiny and rare we each are. Not to make us feel alone but to remind us that we are and will never be ALONE. :taped:

Praying for you Brother.

By the way, you were on the right track about the 'test' thing. Not that it will permenantly decide 'heaven or hell' for you, but about it being a test.

Are you old enough to remember when they would do the 5 minute long test of the Emergency Broadcast System on TV? The announcer would come on and say: "This is a test. This is only a test. If this were an actual emergency, you would receive instructions on how to proceed to the nearest emergency shelter..."

Bro. "This is a test. This is only a test. If this were the real thing, you would have been given instructions"!!!

thereaperman,

There is good news for you and everyone else here, and that is we don't have to work our way to Heaven! :taped: Without Jesus, we would all go to hell; not one would be saved.

You need to surrender yourself to God. If you haven't done so already, accept Him into your life. Confess your sins now, and He will forgive you of them and cleanse you of unrighteousness. :taped: But remember it is an ongoing process -- we're not changed all at once. It is a life-long process of commiting ourselves to the Holy Spirit.

Also, think of it this way. No matter what sins you've commited in your life, they're tiny by comparison to the fact that humanity's sin is what crucified Jesus. That's the worst thing anyone's ever done, and we're all equally guilty.

thereaperman,

take heart brother you are not alone in your struggles!!! notice how everyone is saying "I've been there bro" or something similar...that's because we all have!

I know only too well what you're going through. This past weekend I got drunk and because of that did something horrible which I'm now having to deal with. If you go and drink your way through your problems you will only create more of them...not do anything to help your current situation and find a way forward...from someone who's done it, DON'T DO IT!! instead cling to what you know in your heart to be right, cling to God!

Reading some of the encouragment people have written here almost made me burst into tears right in the middle of my office as I know God has spoken to me through some of your posts friends! thank you so much for that and praise God for your caring hearts! ...I feel like what I did is the worst thing I may ever have done and defo since knowing Jesus in my life, but I will be ok because I've given my sin to God and have been convicted to change the sin in my life in a way I never have before, to give everything over to God, even those social times when I'm so easily distracted by drink and other sins...YOU will be ok too thereaperman! cling to God, cling to His word, know His love is for YOU, know He STILL loves you despite what you might have done or are doing!

God bless you!

S

Hi

Just popped in to see how you were getting on reaperman, hope everythings okay.

Just like everyone has said, we've all been there, me too :24:

Just like "He's taking names," said, cling to the word, cling to our Heavenly Father and don't be afraid to cry and let it all out to him. Hide nothing, just pour it all out.

Your Friend in Christ Jesus

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
