I've been wondering about somethings. What if there was a situation where you are trying to do the work of the Lord. But things keep going haywire in your life to the point to where it interrupts the work you were trying to do for the Lord. Could it be possible that evil forces are behind this and are trying to keep you from doing God's work?

I think so , devil would love nothing more than to hinder some one doing the Lord's work

Yes, with me it's almost routine. When we are working for the Lord in any of the ways we do, 9 times out of 10 the attack will come. It's what satan does.....

I always strengthen myself by saying that at least I must be doing something right!

God bless you LadyKay,

Absolutely,no doubt about it......anytime you are busy at work serving the Lord rest assured the enemy will do anything to trip you up but the good news is ,he is already defeated! Now that you have recognized that it is the enemy who is busy trying to make everything go haywire you can put on the full armor of God and use the Sword of the Spirit to set him aflight(provided you are in right relationship with the Lord and accessing the power of the Holy Spirit)...

Every morning before my feet hit the floor I talk with my Father, giving Him praise, thanksgiving and worship-I cannot begin my day without His armor on and getting aligned with the Holy Spirit....I ask Him to have His way and use me however He wants(not as I want)...I plead the Blood of Jesus over myself and my family and if I discern(by the power of the Holy Spirit)that the enemy is stirring things up,I laugh....then I surely know I am doing something good because the enemy hates it.....it only makes me call upon my Savior to put the enemy in His place which is far from me.....we are Gods property and no devil has any right to mess with what Jesus as bought and paid for at such a high price!!!!Halleluliah!!!!

If God is for us who could be against us?Someone once told me if you do not run head on with the enemy then you must be walking on the same side of the street as he is....cute,huh?Remember ,sis....we stand firmly on a position of victory and no weapon formed against us shall prosper!God presents us with opportunities to serve and the enemy will always try to stop us but He Who is in us is greater than he who is in the world...

Be filled with a fresh indwelling of the Holy Spirit and perservere with boldness and confidence that you are a child of the Most High, the Great I Am!!!I am praying for you,you have a calvary of prayer warriors with you....let us give praise ,honor and glory to God in the Name of our Lord and Savior,Christ Jesus and plead the Blood of Jesus over you and let His will be done.......

                                                                                                            With love,in Christ-Kwik

Sometimes, if you say to yourself that you're going to make a really big attempt to be a better person and you actually try to work hard on a particular vice that you have or a weakness in your character, then you experience a run of bad luck. If you keep persisting, however God will often find a way around this for you.

depends...occasionally i think the Lord just doesn't want something done.  before you blame the devil give close consideration to any possible unintended consequences stemming from what you are doing.

Our pastors always say they are attacked on Sunday morning. They are up all night counseling, or their family is arguing, or coffee is spilled on the sermon outline, or they are held up in traffic, you name it. They always come early and spend time in prayer and usually the elders are asked to join because they can depend on a spiritual attack.

On the other hand, I had just been asked to join a leadership meeting in our womens group when I came down with a malady that limits my ability to participate. I do think that God stopped that one, even though it only meant 1 hour a month and God gave me peace about doing it.

I agree, sometimes God is just trying to help us out by preventing something from happening. The only way to know is of course to ask Him, if it's not Him the answer is not too hard to know. Depends on the case, things getting complicated before something that is done for God's glory would implicate the demonic. But not necessarily, maybe there's a false prophet in the church, a car accident would occur on the way etc. Asking God is really the only way to get some understanding.

I don't think anyone would disagree that satan would do his utmost to prevent us from doing what The Lord expects of us. There is an instance where Paul spoke of how satan had hindered him from doing the Lord's work

1Thess 2:18  Wherefore we would have come unto you, even I Paul, once and again; but Satan hindered us.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
