Is All This Really Just Normal?

Seems pretty normal to me, I do not remember a time when it was not like this, do you have data showing otherwise?

So, then it's all going to get much worse, isn't it?  I mean if what we're seeing here is just normal and not the beginning of birthpangs... Get ready, everybody.

I wrestled quite awhile with whether things were getting really bad, or if I am just more aware of them due to technology, or my age/interest. It was when I saw the conglomeration of dead sea animals, strange noises heard throughout the world, and a sinkhole actually swallow a man, this is when the HS 'woke me up' to the times that we are living in.

We also see animals losing fear of man and attacking/killing people moreso nowdays than ever before, you can read of an attack at least once a week now. Or strange animal behaviour, pods of whales or dolphins beaching themselves.

Frankenstorms, nuclear radiation in the sea, school/mass shootings, human trafficking, open/glamourized idolatry of illuminati, marriage equality, abortion, anti-semitism, cannibalism.

Yes, truly we are living in strange times.

     It is so funny that you mentioned the strange behavior in animals,I was just reading in the Bible about the wild beasts attacking & at the same time there was a report of a mountain lion in captivity for many years that mauled & killed his keeper,this has become a frequent occurance lately & I noticed the tigers in India have seemingly started to consider man to be a food source as there are more & more attacks right in the villages.Oh,and look at the elephants wreaking havoc in Africa with no fear of man(have they suddenly realized their size & strength?Even the chimpanzee attacks for no apparent reason,like gangs out to get man with a vengeance!There are many strange things happening in the animal kingdom,it is well worth noticing

I looked up the history of hurricanes hitting the North East. In 2011, my work place closed for a 2-3 days, due to hurricane Irene. In some of the harder hit places, they are still rebuilding office buildings which won't be complete for another year or 2.  

 

Sandy, which was in 2012, didn't make it to us.

 

Anyway, to me it seemed unusual to have hurricanes so far north, and it has been rare for the last 50 years, before Irene and Sandy. But apparently, there is a 50 year cycle. In 1938, a cat 3 hurricane hit Long Island.

Of course, there was an entire movie about 'The perfect storm', which occurred off of Massachusetts of 1991. A huge storm which was caused by a collision of multiple storms, a nor'easter and Hurricane Grace.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1991_Perfect_Storm

 

In Northeastern U.S., these kinds of storms don't happen often, and tend to cluster, and then nothing for almost 50 years, usually. They are so far apart, that a generation of people aren't used to these storms, and then surprisingly get hit by a few.

 

If the earthquakes are increasing (which I'm not sure are really increasing either), it would probably fall under the following verse.

 

Matthew 24:⁶ You will be hearing of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not frightened, for those things must take place, but that is not yet the end. ⁷ For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and in various places there will be famines and earthquakes. ⁸ But all these things are merely the beginning of birth pangs.

 

 

So, we would be in the beginning of the birth pangs.

I only just heard about the Typhoon that devastated the Philippines.  The website I saw it on said they had just had a major Earthquake, not long ago. I had heard of a Cyclone hitting India about a month ago.

 

I'm in 1 of the areas Sandy smashed into last year. We're still rebuilding from that. Is it just me who thinks all this is way beyond normal weather patterns? I'm been telling people we're very close to the Apocalypse since last year. I was surprised by how many people didn't even know what the word Apocalypse means. It seems to me we're either very close to, or already into the things Jesus said would happen in Matthew 24. And yes it's scary. I get scared even if the power goes out for 10 seconds. That has happened several times in the past month because they're still working on my building. So looking at videos of the Typhoon in the Philippines brings back bad feelings.  

 

I have a friend in another state, where nothing bad has happened. God has blessed them. But she thinks this is all very normal. Nothing to get worried about.

 

I'm not saying we should worry. We should pray and ask God to help us live holy lives for Him.
