Raiders posted a similar article: "Christmas haters have an agenda" <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

It is heartbreaking that so many want to remove Jesus from everything while using the lame excuse of "diversity". Even more troubling is that it will get worse. All the more reason Christians must boldly proclaim His name!

On the positive side of this... I am in a Sign Language Christmas carol choir... we sing/sign various songs but most importantly those that glorify God... "Celebrate" and "Jesus, Born This Day," etc. In addition to convalescent hospitals and group homes, we have performed at local malls with the name of Jesus echoing through the wings... we have performed at Knott's Berry Farm where people stopped rushing towards the rides and games and food in order to see and hear us proclaim Christ's name (Knott's asked us to come again next year!)... and we will be performing at Disneyland too! Maybe people won't see Nativity scenes at some of these places... but they will see the love that God sent to this Earth through Christ Jesus reflected in the faces of believers and hear and/or see His name in their voices and/or upon their hands.

So, strings of Christmas lights can't be put up? Well, the celebration of Christ's birth begins in the heart of believers so we are HIS lights!

O Danny Boy,

You said,

" If Chistmas is such a pagan holiday why then would they spend any time at all trying to remove Christ from it? Glory be to God that his son was born unto us in this season"

Don't let the devil fool you. The devil knows that a lot of christians think it is a christian holiday, he was setting us up, and since he wants the word "Christ" taken out of the word "Christmas", well, can't you see what he's doing? He knows that Jesus Christ has nothing to do with Christmas, but he wants "Christ" taken out of that word. Maybe if it wasn't for the word "Christ', and the manger scenes, and the traditional christmas songs like "Joy to the World" etc, he wouldn't even bother, but since christmas is a pagan holiday, and since christians associate Jesus Christ with it, the devil doesn't want that. Maybe he figures that it is better to show christmas for what it really is rather than let the name of Jesus be involved. Christmas was and is a pagan celebration, and Jesus was not born at this time of the season.

Its only a pagan holiday if you think it is. I celebrate Christ in defiance of this holidays origins. I am also of a mind that GOD made this ONCE pagan holiday into something pleasing to him and I will rejoice evermore because I know with him all things are possible. I do and will continue to pray that in all I do in suffering and in joy I may play a part in and witness HIS glory.

God Bless you and MERRY CHRISTMAS!

and teaching our kids that their parents will lie to them about the very fabric of reality... the existance of santa... how then would they be able to trust the exsitance of a so called 'jesus'?

My kids were all raised on Santa, jolly ole' soul that he is, and two of them are grown now, and strong Christians and I assure you they believe in and worship the exsistence of Jesus. I've yet to meet an atheist who claims they don't believe in Jesus because their parents lied to them about Santa, so they can't believe in anything else. JMO though. :emot-handshake:

I'm not one that believes in dissing Christmas and Easter because they were taken out of pagan holidays. I take it as an expression of redemption. Besides, these two days for centuries have been associated with Jesus.

BUT - with the secularists et al taking "Christ" out of Christmas and traditional "Christian" associations with Easter -

Maybe it is time we go back to our Jewish roots and celebrate the holidays the LORD established for His holy days?

I'm not saying give up on Christmas and Easter if you are so inclined,

but maybe we need to pcik up what was lost from the Church a long time ago?

(I hope I'm making sense here.)

BTW - remember how in Revelation when the Two Witnesses were killed, John saw the people exchanging gifts in celebration.

I can't help but wonder if there is something to this with the Christmas ("holiday" :emot-handshake: ) season?

2 Timothy 4:3-4 - "For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. (4)They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths."

This past Christmas season, I was in Wal-Mart and I am proud to say they were piping Christian based Christmas songs over the speakers in addition to the secular songs! I remember hearing a really good Statler Brothers song about Jesus being the reason for the season!!!!

I wonder how long it will be, though, before stores start opening for Christmas day. When I was working for Radio Shack back in 1998, I wound up quitting (part of the problem, but not the whole thing) because they were threatening to open up Easter Sunday! It was up to the Regional Manager as to whether the stores in his/her region would open. We ultimately wound up not opening but I wondered how long it would be before they started making it mandatory. If they can get Easter, would Christmas be next so you could get that last minute toy for the kids?

IN the public schools here in MD, USA and probabaly at least all over the US, students bring home dradels, and manarahs, learn about Kwanzaa, Hanakkuh and every holiday near Decmeber that pours outs their ears! HOwever, when it comes to Christmas, the only talk is Santa. Songss are sung about the other holidays, but very little, if at all is sung about Christ. If there is anything, they wouldn't dare say his name.

The schools around this country as as perverse if not worse than much of the country itself. THey say that we(the next generation) are the future of thsi country, and i am scared to see hwo that will lok. How dare they try and CHrist out o fhtis country.. sorry gtg

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
