Do you believe in the Big Bang?

A LOT of Christians say the big bang is *** edited to change the phrase the author chose to "not true" ***  but Why cant God have created it? Maybe when God created Earth in the 6 days, it appeared as the Big bang...  the big bang has yet to be disproved, so lets pretend it definitely happened.... why not? We werent there to see it. You cant see God, yet he hasnt been disproved and we all (On this site anyway) believe God is real. I dont understand why so many Christians cant imagine GOD creating the Big bang, I mean he created everything else in this world we can and cant see, hear, smell, taste, feel. So what is the problem with him creating the Earth in 6 days, and it appearing as the big bang?

Well, all you're doing really is giving it a name. Who was behind all that came into existence, GOD creating. Instead of the Big Bang, I call it 'Ms. Sally Jones BLT sandwich.'

Yes it does....it has the Sun prior to the Earth with no water.  And by extension, single celled life or primitive life before man.

 

Other than that, it only has 30 other things wrong with it

IMO, I think people need to look up....into the sky....at night.....dey is a whole beeeeg bunch of suns and earths...ok planets

 

no wait.......galaxies......I would say black holes, but those who peer into such things, are revisiting that theory......and expansion everywhere you can look

 

I expand my thoughts on God when I gaze up...which, incidentally, is scriptural, but why do people shut down when theories are brought up or questions asked?

 

We are allowed to think as long as we do not assume everyone on the planet must think just like us.  Of course some of us are better thinkers than others.......

God created the heavens AND earth...the earth was formless and empty...no one was there....only the Spirit of God hovering over the waters

 

We only really know that God created everything.  I don't think we know exactly how it was and I am not going to defend that position because it simply really and truly does not need a defense.

 

Then we read about the earth as an individual planet

 

We do know, and this is what we KNOW...God created...I am not going to pretend I  agree with those who think it was an actual 7 days...my husband believes that; I do not,

but we are wise enough to agree that neither of us will get into heaven on the merits of how many days or years God (creatively) played with the clay of the earth

The Big Bang makes perfect sense to me.....that was the moment God spoke everything into being.  Simple.
