I know I can never be pried out of His mighty grip but I fear that my family won't all be with me in the Kingdom.  I worry about that a LOT.

OK, I admit that I fear dental work, and I fear house fires at night, and one way gravel mountain roads with steep cliffs on each side, and rope suspension foot bridges over deep canyons. Those are genuine phobias, terrors based on life experiences.

I fear all of that stuff too, Willamina (especially the rope suspension bridges); I just don't fear it as much as leaving my family behind.

I once had to face that fear as well, MorningGlory. I rolled our car over an embankment with our 4 year old son in the front seat. That produced my fear of losing control of my car on graveled narrow roads. But as I was going over the edge, thinking for sure I would wake up with the Lord, I committed my young family and husband to the Lord's faithful loving hands. They are His to begin with and will care and provide for them whether I am here or not. My husband had only been saved for 5 months at the time. When notified by the hospital he thought that our youngest son had been killed. He found himself thanking God for the time we had him. It still makes me cry as I recall it. God is so merciful, and does test out hearts. Hubby was baptized a week later.

I fear quite a bit. I'm not as good of a Christian that I would like to be. In God's eyes, I am a hypocrite. I'm trying REALLY hard not to fall into temptations but its so hard, when every time I turn around there is a temptation. I'm afraid of going to hell. I'm not babtized, I have 3 kids out of wedlock, plus my kids father is atheist. I associate with a lot of Atheists and even a couple people who are Freemasons. Even though, I don't think they know exactly what they are into, because now that I've learned a little about the different degrees, it seems that the higher degree Freemasons are who worship the "Light Bearer."

Anyways, I'm also afraid of the Tribulation, not for myself, but for my kids. My oldest is 5 and my youngest will be a year old the 22nd of this month. It would be hard to watch them suffer, and the hardest thing would be to watch them be tortured and/or killed if we were ever caught.

I guess you can say that I am a Lukewarm Christian, and I hate myself for it.

As a Christian, not much. Not death, not the future, so really, not much.

Why then do I have such a fear of spiders I wonder? I catch problem snakes in people's properties, handle them with no fear, just a healthy respect, but spiders, oh man....

Spiders.

I came here to type the word "spiders", only to find the last post (just before this one) also had spiders. It is a totally irrational fear, a true phobia, but it is the only thing that comes to mind when thinking about fear.

I learned to catch and handle snakes from a young age, and thus they don't scare me. I sort of understand them in that I know what to expect, and they do signal intent most of the time.

I wonder if a greater understanding of spiders may alleviate the fear? If one was to study them with someone who works with them and slowly work up to allowing one to walk across ones hand for instance?

I'm ophideophobic, so I fear snakes.

On a more spiritual level, I fear my daughter will continue to be a fake Christian.

I hope you hate yourself enough to want to do something about all this guilt you are carrying, and turn your life around by making good choices that will benefit both your and your children. I say this with a love and concern for both you and family. I want you to be content, not guilt ridden.

Be strong!

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
