Quote Deuteronomy: "Anyone else had a similar experience?"

Hi Deuteronomy,
                            Welcome! :)

Just sounds like a teething pup!

Hey, I never had that experience, however I believe one was "stolen" from me once!

Prayed the good Lord would use it to His glory, convicting them of breaking His 8th commandment.

Hey, if you keep your electronics up high enough, Pup Rover will have a hard time eating any of these! :)

My first question is how old is your dog.  If he is a puppy be ready for things to get chewed  Keep things out of his reach and then get  him things to chew on.  NO RAWHIDE!  it can be very dangerous.Get him some cow bones from your butcher.  boil them to get all the marrow out out of them and they will last him forever.  I have cow bones my dogs have had for three or four years.  Don't give him old shoes or socks, they don't know the difference between the old and the new.   they will grow out of the chewing state and they have to be taught.  Under no circumstances hit them or yell and scream at them.  It will only make things worse.  If you have any questions e-mail me here  and I will try and help you.

Because He Lives!  Rustyangel/Faith Ann

lol rawhides the only kind of bone (outside of beef bones) that my lab will eat. Problem is they only last him all of a half hour. I cant afford to keep my dogs on rawhide and beef bones and they wont touch those nyla bones. I have a rope my GSD loves, but my lab wont even touch that. What is so bad about rawhide? Ive always gave my dogs rawhide bones without any issues. My vet even told me to once to help my old dogs teeth.

with that said, as far as inside some dogs just like what they like. I had a German shephard/husky mix in high school. when I let him in at night, the ONLY thing he would chew up was zippers. if there was a zipper he could get to, he chewed it even if he had a bone handy. But nothing else he wasnt supposed to. And he always did this up till I had to give him away. Just a personality quirk.

What is so bad about rawhide?

Once the chew becomes soggy and unravels they can break of chunks which can become a choking hazard, cause excessive vomiting, bloat from an intestinal blockage, and diarrhea.

Yes, i would buy a new Bible and keep it out of his reach and I would get him some good safe chew toys.or the cow bones that Rusty suggested.

I want to add to that please no rawhide, it  can be deadly to a dog.  It can get caught in their throats or block their intestines

some old school exorcism will probably spare you a bible or two.

Just kidding.

Dogs, cats, among other animals, not to forget children are pretty awesome in finding important things to be destroyed. Sort of a gift, I suppose.

I sometimes refer to my kids as those grass-hopper legions who fly over distances eating up what they pass.

Keep it secret, keep it safe. The bible I mean.

I laughed right out loud after reading that last line.

Run you fools! .....to the cross I mean.
