While discussing my spiritual side in regards to my interest in life coaching the professional said to me "people chose animals and God because their easy, they don't talk back." That statement angered me. It's a worldly misperception God is easy. It is not easy to walk in faith and love. It is not easy to pray & forgive your enemy. It is not easy to trust that which you can not see. It is not easy to love those you don't know. It is a cowards excuse not to have to search his own soul & change that says God is easy.

Blessings Soulserf,,,

I too have heard the expression but I don't think that is what they mean.....the emphasis is not on the "easy',it is on the''not talking back".....In other words it is a sarcastic way of saying that it is easy to be in a one sided relationship, where no one will answer you back & you can have it your way,no one will disagree with you...

Take it from where it came from, obviously someone who does not have a relationship with our Lord & those that are carnal minded.....Christians ,walking in spirit & in Truth have eyes to see & ears to hear what the unbeliever cannot(or will not). Try not to judge the person that spoke so foolishly as a coward but rather just as what he is,what we all once were....a sinner,a sinner that needs forgiveness,a Savior, Jesus     pray for him, just as someone prayed for you....present him with the Gospel as someone once presented it to you(while you were in sin)

God Bless you ,let us pray for the unbeliever                                          With love-in Christ,Kwik

Hi soulserf  Something hopefully edifying for Your spirit

Cletus says He has heard God speak audibly   i dont think i have    but i have family that have   my old mum  heard His voice a few times    once the same message at about the same time as my sister   which was something like ( I will Never leave You)     mums gone now but from my recollection  one time She heard His voice  when i was Young  and a new Christian    my brother and i were helping an elderly lady with her gardening and whatever     poor old mum had to drive us   and was sitting in the car grumbling about how we should be doing her house up   then from the back seat  a voice said  something like    (Do not complain  dont You know they are about their Fathers Business)   Mums sister whom i loved also would hear Gods voice on occasion

i agree with You its not always easy to forgive people   yet with Gods help we should seek to make it our nature to have a forgiving and Loving heart

Please note i may not have remembered  the exact words but if not then pretty close  and when i say God spoke it may or may not have been via an Angel but i think You understand

This is Gods truth so i hope You are  blessed almost as much as i am by this

I agree, it is a misperception-and this is a good example of that.

And for the record, anyone who thinks animals don't talk back have obviously never met my german shephard.

I agree, three is misconception involved here.  Why does something that is easy have to be negative?  It is easy to accept the Lord.  It was our hard living that kept us from Him, not because it was a hard path to His arms.  Tell that person that pride causes separation from God. (and pride is easy by the way)

It's not easy being a Christian. Life was a lot easier before I became one. However, I now have peace of mind that I never had before.

depends on how one defines "talk". I understand what your saying and agree animals do have their way of communicating. Just pointing out what the argument would be if you said that to that particular life coach.

I know dogs have their communication methods as several times I have had to control other peoples dogs verbally when they refused to. Mainly because they had no idea what different barks mean. Also because they don't know that dogs are pack animals and respond to the strong leader.

There is really no "misperception" as light has come into the world, but men love darkness more than light because their works are evil.

The problem is people know what is right, but they have chosen darkness over light. There is no misperception, only wrong choices on their part.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
