Without a specific situation it is hard to comment.

We have two granddaughters that are drama queens. Sometimes hormones enter into the problem. Occasionally they want attention, depending on the age and the situation.. The embarassment of making a scene can be overlooked, like a 4 year old having a temper tantrum at the grocery store. Love covers a multitude of sins.

Sometimes things seem more horrible than they really are. The famous one is a teenager finding zit on their nose on the day of the dance or when school photos are being taken. In the scheme of things, this is not a big problem. But to that person at that time it can seem like disaster because they want everything to be perfect.

Feelings are hurt when people they think are friends turn against them. It seems like the end of the world. They go through grief that is real. So we are told to rejoice with those who rejoice and weep with those who weep. As long as they are not trying to manipulate you with the drama, that might be a good way to approach it. It is hurtful to just dismiss it all when it is so huge to them. We need to acknowledge that this is their reality. The old addage "this too, shall pass" might help. Then help them to put it into persepective while acknowledging how horrible it all is. Time will help. Then pray with them about it.

It is the culture for some to be reserved with a great sense of decorum. Meanwhile, other cultures are known to be more expressive and dramatic. So knowing a little about the person's family helps to understand. You may have been raised with different cultural expectations than they. Some people are very private and embarassed about people "making a scene". But even this embarassment is not a tragic as it seems at the time, when put into perspective.

Many people live in a "world of images and dramatizations" and in part this is caused by the media; television and the internet. People who become caught up in drama have the tendency to lose their feeling focus; they see other people as depersonalized images rather than human beings as individual/persons. .................. Here is a quote from the book" "The Anatomy of Human Destructiveness" by Erich Fromm: "People seek for drama and excitement, when they do not obtain this on a higher level, they create for themselves dramas of destructiveness."

Blessings tigger......

I think Roman 150 is spot on,,,,,,the god of this world is very busy at work.We are surely accountable for our own actions & every word we speak ,,,,so,it is very easy not to partake of such things by simply not engaging,,,,,,,,,if it is a gossip session,be the one to discourage backbiting ......If drama arises ,try to bring peace.....The main ingredient is "love" & by the Power of the Holy Spirit we are indwelled with the Heart & Mind of Christ,,,,,,,when we can recognize that we do not fight against flesh & blood it is easier to refrain from "re-acting" in the flesh & acting in love,in Spirit & in Truth.........to God be the Glory

                                                                                                                                                                   With love-in Christ,Kwik

Welcome to Roman 150 ,God Bless you........glad you are here!

It is true that we all have drama; we have our routines, habits, and scripts that we live in. But, we can distinguish between dramas of freedom and dramas of un-freedom. According to the book of Ecclesiastes; "As no one is discharged in time of war, so wickedness will not release those who practice it."  I believe that this is as true today, in our time, as it was true at the time of Solomon. I can see clearly enough that some people can become trapped in their dramas of destructiveness; they become entangled in their lies and deceptiveness; in their exploitative behavior.

ah yes drama.  there is made for tv drama and then there is I want attention drama.

I will guess you are referring to the latter drama.  This drama, is often characterized by a selfish desire to be at the center of attention.

This drama can make a mountain out of a molehill...literally...and can swallow up entire families in its ability to suck people into its vortex of

self centered machinations and desire for control.

This drama can be so complicated that counting ants in an anthill seems less challenging or it can be so simple that a hug will smooth the troubled waters

However a particular drama is served up, it is usually wise to examine the cast of characters and remember the results of the last time you tried to intervene

and got yourself pulled in and ended up as part of the injured in a heap while the actor leaves the stage as though nothing at all ever happened

You stay out of it by wearing this face speechless_20.png no matter how hard people or persons try to get you involved.    At that point, flattery may be invoked as

enticement to draw you in ie.  you are so good at helping people.  What do you think?  Keep that face and slowly back away.

I was only partially kidding.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
