This happens a lot when I am out and I am beginning to wonder if it is God's doing. Strangers in the grocery store will just start talking to me about personal stuff going on in their life and family. Me being who I am will always stop and listen to them. I mean you never know when an opportunity to witness is going to come up, and some people are just hurting and need someone to listen. So I always take the time to listen. But I think it is kind of weird that this seems to happen a lot. So I am wondering if God has something to do with it?

i am sure that God may very well have something to do with it. at least some of the times. but sometimes it could also be sheer loneliness. in this day of technological wonderland, people are more likely to text their best friend than to TALK to them. my adult daughter and her best friend even do something like snap-chat, only they carry on a conversation through videos. not skype, but videos. her friend will record herself, send it to my daughter, who will video her response, send it back. they'll carry on like that for hours. it's insane.

as people, we NEED personal interaction with other human beings. i think more and more often, people are getting that need met through strangers that they can't text with.

When shopping I am preoccupied, unaware of the world around, me and don't even see my family should they encounter me. So you do have a ministry. You notice other people who need a smile and need you to look them in the eyes and listen. I hope you are in prayer even while they speak, and God will give you the words they need as well as His love.

In Ireland or the countryside in France we say hello to everyone as they come into a cafe  ,or shop if it is not crowded .

Not to say "bonjour" is slightly bad mannered ,although one is not forced to ,and some don't ,but it is 'normal' .

Do you look people in the eye as you go about your goings on.....   when you do you are signaling that they have your attention and if they are really in need, they will feel open to reach out.....     Does God have a hand in it.....   I would think that He is the reason that people sense you are open to listen because of who you are and your relationship with him.

I greet people with a warm hello most of the time! I live in a small village though, so it's probably a little different  :biggrinflip:

I agree that when we are open to others ,and love others without expecting anything back we are doing so

as God' children  .He is 'behind' us,and sometimes it is almost 'mystical' . I met on a train in France lst year a Young American

woman who was coming from an evangelical retreat ,and she spoke very good French although she had been Learning for less

than a year . She was one seat ahead on the left, and on my right sitting beside me was a French female student ,who was probably needing some  spiritual nourishment which she was not getting in her science classes .I began by talkng to her and she seemed interested but not totally convinced by my interest in Jesus ,but I guessed she was warming up and left her to herself not to push her .

I then started to chat to our American, and after a few moments while agreeing on some things ,we did not agree entirely and rather going on, we left it at that . However, soon the three of us were talking  and when we parted, they were both getting of at Toulouse, we stood for 5 minutes just smiling at each other ,and the Holy Spirit was standing among us because it was a moment of  kind of emotion

and purity ,I never felt in my days in the RCC

I was thinking about those moments and hope that my little American kept in touch with her new aquaintance .They were closer in age than me ,and I would not have had the time

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
