What not to eat?

What I could read of these articles about the pigs were a bit too "sensationalist" for me to take terribly serious, though.

And I missed something, but where was the evidence presented about pork being undigestible?

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Nope, no evidence was provided; at least not from a reputable source like Ovedya requested. He just reposted the same link he posted before. But, no REAL evidence was provided.

Nebula ever tried horse or cat?

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Horse?

Nope. Never been to a place that offered it.

Cat?

Well . . . it all depends on what they were really serving in my "chicken" dish at the Chinese restaurant . . . .

with pork at about a buck tobuck fifty a pound, and beef being at 3 bucks and up ( depending on the cut ) i choose pork for this family of 5 - 8 people, we also have plenty of rice, and beans, and of course tators.....

if you wish to look at longevity, look at the two countries with the longest. Iceland and Japan.

Iceland has main diet of fish, and tators or pasta's of sort, with pancaka ( crepes ) with jellies and other sweet things for deserts, lots of yummy pastries...

Japan, has a main diet of fish, and rice. and not sure about other things they eat ( maybe four legged cretures, but who knows and who cares )

oh yea, until you have had a hamburger made from horse meat, well, the burger was good, and it was really different, it was not until i was done that i knew what it was made of....

even with Iceland being in such a harsh climate, and their mortality rate is high, it is a very nice place.

Japan, not sure about, only heard stories....

The article posted here which states that pigs are filthy animals, shows the ignorance of the author.

Pigs are in fact very clean animals, when you compare them to others. First off, many people have made pigs pets, and even allow them to live in their own homes with them.

Pigs will not eat their own stools(dropping), like chickens and turkeys and even dogs will do. Pigs will not even drop their stools near the place they sleep or eat, unlike other animials, which we consider to be clean.

Pigs keep themselves clean and rolling in mud is their way of removing parasites and ticks. Many other animals which we consider clean, don't do this.

The reason why pigs are considered filthy, is because they are usually kept in pens and fed swill, which is merely thrown on the ground of the pig stye. Free roaming pigs don't live the same way and as a result are not dirty.

Pigs are also very intelligent, in fact they say they are more intelligent than dogs.

Next time you want to know the truth about pigs, ask a farmer.

As we read in the Gospel of St. Mark, our Lord declared all foods clean, thereby setting aside Mosaic regulations in this matter:

7:14 And he called the people to him again, and said to them, "Hear me, all of you, and understand: 7:15 there is nothing outside a man which by going into him can defile him; but the things which come out of a man are what defile him." 7:17 And when he had entered the house, and left the people, his disciples asked him about the parable. 7:18 And he said to them, "Then are you also without understanding? Do you not see that whatever goes into a man from outside cannot defile him, 7:19 since it enters, not his heart but his stomach, and so passes on?" (Thus he declared all foods clean.) 7:20 And he said, "What comes out of a man is what defiles a man. 7:21 For from within, out of the heart of man, come evil thoughts, fornication, theft, murder, adultery, 7:22 coveting, wickedness, deceit, licentiousness, envy, slander, pride, foolishness. 7:23 All these evil things come from within, and they defile a man."

St. Peter in which he learned to no longer regard certain food

And, living in the country, I have watched what chickens eat.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
