Is the image of the Beast - the Earth?

It seems to me like the biggest growing heresy at the moment is the 'New Age movement' where everybody seems to worship nature in some form of another and the ultimate application of this is the reverence of the Earth itself (or 'Gaia' as it is known).

That along with our obsession with 'Climate Change' or 'Man-made Global Warming' as it was until recently known, seems to be spearheading a lot of people towards a universal belief that we should be submitting ourselves to the deification of the Planet. I get the impression that many people are beginning to believe that we are all living on something that lives and breathes. In fact many in the New Age movement believe the Earth to be a growing and changing entity.

Isn't all this just another case of people worshipping the creation and not the creator? These people even seem to want a One-World government in order to protect the Earth from further ecological damage. Many of these New-Agers are even expecting a messiah-like figure to emerge (maybe a visitor from Outer Space) to show us the way forward.

Could we even see the Antichrist emerge by clinging to the tail of this belief?

I think the new age movement is much larger than most of us realize.   It has permeated and pretty much taken over most of the UN.

I think it's a definite vehicle, as if it were given such a value, would greatly further consolidate the one world government agenda.  Coupled with evolution as its gospel, it could be a frightening thought.  It would not surprise me one bit if that turned out to be exactly what is being forced onto the world right now behind the scenes.

I guess if this Islam fad dies out then they will want a plan B...

Whether or not the earth is alive is irrelevant: it is still part of the Creation, and therefore is not Divine.

Classic case of the world-rulers creating the problem, and then stepping in to offer their pre-planned solution: which solution is always more centralized power in their hands.

Classic.  Simple, Concise. Accurate.  Politically, Economically, Socially, "warmongering", Religiously, Medically, every aspect of society.

This has been the plan since 1871 as channeled to Albert Pike by his spirit guide.

Also keep in mind that this is the dark side's plans....    we have no idea if the Lord will let them carry it out or not....   but Revelation 13 kind of leads me to think he may just do that.  Whatever the case we need to expect it or something like it to come and not fall prey to it.  whatever happens to us here, he will make up to us later.

Well, we do know that he will cause his image to be worshipped.  How long God will allow that, whether it will be the whole time he is in power or not is something I don't know for sure.

That is pretty accurate, it is Satan's agenda to do this. The world will experience a revolution similar to that which convulsed France, and out of this chaos a new order will be established. What people think is Christianity is actually worship of the devil, which ends the world at Christ's intervention. 

The difference between obeying God and the devil is known by the laws of God. The world will honor the Sunday - the mark of the beast, instead of the law of God which honors the Sabbath. A simple test of loyalty will divide the world into two distinct classes - the obedient and the rebellious. "Here are they that keep the commandments of God" is set in unmistakably clear contrast to those who receive the mark of the beast. This is what I have recently come to believe in the study of the book "The Great Controversy" by White.

The Bible says that the world worships the dragon and the whore - RCC is supported by them, but that the whore will be destroyed by the civil powers of this world. After the banning and destruction of religion, the final outcome is direct worship of Satan without any masquerade of Christ, as the Antichrist has done.

This is when the world's armies are gathered to fight the returning Christ. But the before the battle can even begin, there is a massive earthquake and hail the size of beach balls. The armies gathered near Jerusalem, will be pounded with ice, which melts and mingles with blood leaving a lake of blood up "to the horse's bridle" in depth. Rev 16. Rev 14:20.
