I read an article this morning that Rodger Stone said that Cruz had offered Rubio to drop out of the race and let him go one for one if he promiced to give Cruz an appointment to the supreme court....   Don't know how close to reality that is, but if true would be interesting.    If so I would think we will hear more about it.

What is a swing voter.

From wiki under topic swing vote:

A swing vote is a vote that is seen as potentially going to any of a number of candidates in an election, or, in a two-party system, may go to either of the two dominant political parties. Such votes are usually sought after in elections, since they can play a big role in determining the outcome.

A swing voter is a person who is not dedicated to a particular party and will vote for a candidate from either party. A person can not win an election without attracting the swing voters. Neither party has a sufficient number of dedicated voters to dominate the other party, so essentially, the swing vote usually decides the election.

Well, they just want to win... it comes with the whole concept of competing for something.

When you play a game, you play to win... Cruz and Rubio want to win.

It's the establishment that worries me, it always has with it's hidden agendas and power-brokers.

They want Trump to lose because they can't exert as much control over him as they'd like to.

Or perhaps the "establishment" viewes Trump as many of other voters do, a loose cannon that is a danger to the country because he lacks the discernment and judgement to lead a country.

What credentials and bon fides are needed to be President?

The only two actual requirements are you have to be 35 and a "natural born citizen".    Unlike many people I feel that having either legislative or governmental executive experience is very important.  There really is no time to learn how the system works once you are sitting in the Oval Office.

Outside of that, for me there are two other essentials that I look for.  Leadership and temperament. We have not had a leader in the White House since Bill Clinton, and I am some would say since Reagan.

Bush II was a follower, did what he was told by those "advising him".  He didn't understand how to be a leader.

Obama is manipulator, he plays sides against each other in order to try and accomplish his goals.  He is not very good at it which is why he has had to turn to his "phone and pen", but mostly just the pen.

We need a leader in the White House.

Hillary is not a leader, she might be an ok manager, but she does not understand leadership.  She does not inspire anyone to do anything.

Rubio might eventually turn into a leader after he grows up a bit more, but now he is in over his head.

Trump is a boss, not a leader.  He is used to whatever he says being done without questions.  The President is not the boss of the country and that mindset does not work.  I think this brush up on families of terrorist is the perfect example.  Before changing his tune yesterday he repeated multiple times that the military would follow his orders because he said so, which is what he is used to.   This will not work as President, Congress will not do just because he said so, the military will not do it just because he said so and other countries will not go along just because he said so.

Kasich is too soft spoken to be a great leader but for me his experience and temperament overcome that.

I see Cruz starting to exhibit some leadership qualities, so he might be the best of the terrible choices we have this year.

The other half is temperament, a president has to have a very thick skin and cannot take things personally.   This is where Rubio and Trump are very much alike. Both are quick to take offense and fire back trying to one up the other person.

This is also where Trump is the most dangerous, he has shown in his lifetime to be both petty and vindictive, in my opinion.  He will sue people over the smallest of perceived slights.   He sued a pair of brothers for wanting to use their family name in their business, their name happened to be Trump also.  It took over a half a decade before Trump lost that because he kept filling new motions.    He sued the Chicago Tribune for expressing doubt that Trump would actually build the "Trump Tower" in Chicago, since at that time he had not yet even hired an architect  for the project.   He sued a man for estimating his net worth lower than Trump thought it should be.   This is not the temperament that we need in the White House, just imagine that sort of vindictiveness with the power of the federal government behind it.

I see Trump as a person who will use his power for his own advantage.  I don't see him doing what is best for our country or for Israel.  He continually changes his positions on issues, day by day and month by month.

Presidents have been trying to achieve peace in Israel by forcing them to sign cease fire treaties, or to give up the West Bank and half of Jerusalem, for ages and it has failed each time.  Syria keeps breaking the treaties.  The west bank is crucial for Israel's defense.  The last I heard was that Trump will be neutral concerning Israel.  He keeps changing his positions.  He says compromise is the way to make things work.  That is true unless it means compromising your values.  I am not sure that Trump has Godly values or even knows how to hear from God.  He was vulgar during the debates, and he continually attacks people personally.

I heard Cruz attacking Trump's record, his policies and his ideas.  These things should be brought to light.  We had deception in our president and in the republican machine, and we don't want more of the same if the public is again being deceived by Trump's telling us what we want to hear.  He and Hillary are the ones that look at us in the camera and say I am not a liar, I have never lied.  Yet we continually are seeing them both being inconsistent in what they say and do.

Obama made another campaign promise that he has never fulfilled.  He claimed that his administration would be completely transparent.  But everything he has done has been behind closed doors, and he has yet to produce the papers that the the Congressional oversight committee has asked to see by law.  I am evaluating his record of what he has said by what he has done.  That is what I saw Cruz doing to Trump during the debates.  This needed to be done.   The same is true here on Worthy.  We can debate ideas but not attack each other.   I saw Rubrio making the personal attacks.  These are stooping to Trump's level.  That is not necessary to show the world what sort of person Trump is and whether he can be trusted.  Perhaps Trump doesn't lie.  Perhaps he just changes his mind to do what is expedient at the moment, and does what is right in his own eyes, which shows a lack of godly values which do not change.  I do see Cruz as being the better choice.  Kasich claimed people called him the only adult up there because he remained aloof.   That doesn't mean he was.  He got a lot done in his state and in federal government  Cruz couldn't get much done in Congress because he would not compromise his ethics and bend with the republican machine.  So they opposed everything he did in retribution.  He got a lot done in Texas and is an excellent lawyer.

Does anyone remember Khrushchev  hitting the table with his shoe, getting red in the face and shouting at the UN?  One or two of our candidates reminds me of that incidence.  Someone should have told him to take a deep breath and relax as well.

Christians should "judge righteous judgment".  Since Donald Trump has more than enough money and status as a businessman "real estate mogul" and a billionaire, there is absolutely no advantage for him to wade into the muck of American politics.

He has declared repeatedly that he wants to "Make America Great Again", and at the very least, Christians must give him the benefit of the doubt.  As for Israel, you forget that they snubbed him when he wanted to visit Israel and establish a good relationship.  But when push comes to shove, he will support Israel like Obama has never done.

The fact that the entire Republican establishment hates him should tell us something.  The ones who betrayed the voters are now panicking because they may be out of a job, and out of all the perks which they receive at the trough.

I think pride of power is the advantage he looks for. He has monetary power, but has never had political power, and he wants it. He wants to up his domination factor, and what better position for that than "the leader of the free world." ('The military will do what I tell them.')

If I were Cruz, every time Trump went off on another one of his loud interrupting tirades and name-calling, I would just say "the pig likes it." (If anyone does not know the saying, it is: "If you go wrestle with a pig in the mud, you'll both get dirty, but the pig likes it."

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
