So Lets Say The USA Becomes A Christian Nation...

Okay so I have been hearing a lot through out these past few years or so fellow Christian complaining that they want the US to be a Christian nation. I have yet to find anyone who can explain to me what they mean by wanted the US to be a Christian nation. All that is ever said is that they want the US to go back to being a Christian nation which I don't known when that was maybe before my time. But anyway. It seems like it has just become a catch phrase that Christians use when they don't know what else to say. Anyway, I am not going to start the debate on rather or not the US has ever been a Christian nation or not. But I am wondering what is meant when I hear fellow Christians say they want the US to be a Christian nation.  Do they know what they mean when they say this? What would it mean? What laws would we have and how would it effect people? Does anyone really know? Or is it really just something people say when they don't know what else to say?

Im guessing for starters they want homosexuality to be illegal again, for Christianity not to be squashed by current policies, for prayer to be allowed in schools again, to make divorce more difficult to get (no more no fault divorce) ... things like that.

I think most mean that they want the Nation (our society) to not do things that we see as not approved by God.  The things that Ayin mention are a few of them.....   I don't see this happening in society until a very large number of people come to Christ.....   and I don't see that happening as long as we have an easy life.

It is not going to happen. America is bad now and will continue to decay until Jesus comes back.

There will not be a revival. The tribulation will come in place and then the Antichrist will be telling people how he will make it all better. They will cling to him like white on rice. Of course they are being deceived but they are too trusting and gullible to believe that. Like cattle being taken off to slaughter.

There is a revival going on, just that it is outside the religious organisations. Believers are seeking God more & more & are not putting up with those who desire to `lord it over` others. When people mention `revival` they seem to expect God to move through a `great` man & gather multitudes into the organisations. However this `revival` is about untold millions seeking the Lord & reaching out to others in their everyday life. It is not about famous people but the nobodies of this world following our Lord.

That covers it.  These values were present at the founding of the nation and prevailed regardless of any evildoers. But today the government promotes and practices sin and evil and opposes God.
