Hello!

Is there any spiritual truthseekers in this forum who have eventually met Christ?

The Title of this post is actually refering to me. I am a spiritual truthseeker who are turning into a Christian more and more.

I have have come very far in the quest of knowing the truth, or rather jumping in and out of different truths without knowing what the real truth is. I want to know the truth so badly and I want to live in it forever. I already know much about New Age and the Christian faith. I know the depth of it all and have been into both separately. But now I am into both at the same time. I am mixing both and make them fit each other. Maybe I am creating a new spiritual movement out of this, or maybe I am just confused? It is not easy to stay on one track as all the tracks seems so true and so good. I am spiritual but confused. I want to KNOW, not just BELIEVE. Help me!

What you are doing is preaching another gospel if you are trying to mix scripture with new age beliefs, and to assure you, you are not the first to do this.  There was the Emergent Church movement, postmodernism, and then Oprah introduces Eckhart Tolle to the world.

There is only one truth.  Here are the words of Jesus recorded in John 14.  You would do well to meditate on what is said:

John 14

The Way, the Truth, and the Life

14 “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions;[a] if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.[b] And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. And where I go you know, and the way you know.”

Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?”

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

The Father Revealed

“If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him.”

Philip said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us.”

Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? 10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works. 11 Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves.

The Answered Prayer

12 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. 13 And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If you ask[c] anything in My name, I will do it.

Jesus Promises Another Helper

15 “If you love Me, keep[d] My commandments. 16 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. 18 I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.

Indwelling of the Father and the Son

19 “A little while longer and the world will see Me no more, but you will see Me. Because I live, you will live also. 20 At that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you. 21 He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.”

22 Judas (not Iscariot) said to Him, “Lord, how is it that You will manifest Yourself to us, and not to the world?”

23 Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. 24 He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father’s who sent Me.

The Gift of His Peace

25 “These things I have spoken to you while being present with you. 26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. 27 Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. 28 You have heard Me say to you, ‘I am going away and coming back to you.’ If you loved Me, you would rejoice because I said,[e]‘I am going to the Father,’ for My Father is greater than I.

29 “And now I have told you before it comes, that when it does come to pass, you may believe. 30 I will no longer talk much with you, for the ruler of this world is coming, and he has nothing in Me. 31 But that the world may know that I love the Father, and as the Father gave Me commandment, so I do. Arise, let us go from here.

Welcome to Worthy....The first sign that anything is not TRUTH is "confusion".....Gods Truth,His Word is His Timeless Truth.....God is not a God of confusion,He is the One True Living God Who brings Peace & Comfort to them that Receive His Truth,no confusion or chaos...

You said something that stood out to me ,The heart of the matter

Quote

I already know much about New Age and the Christian faith. I know the depth of it all ......

Jesus is the Way,the Truth & the Life.....knowing much ABOUT the Christian Faith is no depth at all,it is topical, superficial.Christianity is not about "what" you know,it is about WHO you know. Our Redeemer Lives, you can have a Relationship with Him and that is how you come into Wisdom & Understanding, the TRUTH,Praise Jesus

THere is no "sitting on the fence" ,it is like have one foot in the grave and the other on a banana peel,it leads to the same place.....it does not lead to Eternal Life with our Lord God Almighty

If you are sincerely "seeking" the Truth then the first step begins at the foot of the Cross, you have to get on your knees before you can walk

                                                                                                                                                                  With love-in Christ,Kwik

Hello Knower,

Mixing the 2 is like saying I'll mix black & white, honey & chili they are completely opposed to each other, You will come up with a different flavor, , but not pure. You said yourself you may come up with a completely different movement, Jesus was very clear on the way to salvation there was no two roads. You also mentioned different truth which is a oxymoron.

I hope you find your way God bless.

I think if you're new to Christianity you don't know enough yet. Why don't you just stick with the teaching Jesus came to bring the world? He was promised to come in the Old Testament and he did arrive and that's what made for the New Testament teaching what he said.

New Age stuff is hokum. Why mess with the real thing? Jesus Christ is the only way to Heaven. That's the truth. Not blending New Age stuff in with his word. He was God for goodness sake. When you start to have faith and let down your defenses to that you will know.

Anyway, I'm new too. Welcome.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
