Talking Halloween

Its a bit early for the annual "Halloween is Evil" thread, but carry on!

I'm an adult, so the only use I have for Halloween is the all the candy on sale the day after! 50% off or more! Then its time to stock up.

Oh, is there going to be an early "Christmas is Evil" thread too?

Children need to learn that Jesus isnt in any of these pagan festivals. When children are taught to love Jesus and not the world,they are okay with it. A parents responsibility is to raise their children in the word of God. Children need to be taught to not compromise and starting young is when we should do it. So then what happens when the kids start growing up to be tweens and teens who want to go to parties where pot is smoked and beer and wine is drunk. The kids are experimenting with sex and all kinds of wicked things!  Why should we stop them? By your reasoning, we shouldnt because the world is doing it! They might get their feelings hurt? SO WHAT!

Which btw, they wont care if they are raised right from the beginning! We teach our children young to come out of the world and to not do as the world does. We teach our kids to resemble Christ and not the world. There are many liberties in a christians life and there is absolutely no reason to cave to pagan rituals.

You know that children who are brought up by parents who are obsessed with 'sin', are more likley to stray into sexual weirdness ,than those with a softer wiser guiding manner .  America is the capital of the world for pornography , but has the highest number or registered 'christians '.

Hi Steve,

I grew up in a traditional church and never questioned anything, I went to church and thought I was a good Christian.

When I was around 29 years old, I did read Biblical tracks and started questioning what the Bible was all about, I decided to read  the Bible, starting with the book of Matthew, when I reached the book of John, I read chapter 3:16, it was then that I realized that If I believed that Jesus died for me I have eternal life,I repented of my sins and was never the same again. I started questioning everything and threw a lot of music out and some other things, God started convicting me what was good and what was not. Through my life, He kept convicting me about certain things ...

When we moved to Canada , we got introduced to Halloween, I had never heard about it before and I noticed that many Christians let their children celebrate this event. They all do this out of tradition. I started to study what this was all about and realized that it's plain evil and there's nothing good about it, the Lord strongly convicted me to stay away from it as it is demonic.

May I suggest you forget your traditional upbringing and start questioning and to study what  Halloween is all about?

The devil can show himself as an angel of light but he's really evil and dark and what does light have in common with darkness?

Please pray about it and I know God will show you His will for you of how to judge Halloween.

We don't judge other people for what they do, when we reach heaven we do have to answer what we did with our life to glorify God.

And then and then there is that  oh my goosh that fertility ritual in late spring when little kids line up some in bunny costumes then all race to be first to the egg.

Yep, some things are pretty dumb funny when it gets right down to it.

Fortunately, I think,  my Lord has more mercy on me and thee than each do each other.

That was absolutely wonderful testimony. YES it is the LORD who opens our eyes.   HE sure shows us how to discern between good and evil.

IF any is born again of HIM, they do have eternal life and they do have HIS HOLY SPIRIT.  That spirit sure is HOLY and GOOD and sure will not participate in any evil

no matter how harmless it may seem to the world.   Such a beautiful testimony.   Just praise the LORD .

Indeed most have banned Christ and yet know not they have.  DENY HIS SAYINGS , we have DENIED HIM.

How bout we talk about remarriage and how it is ADULTERY .    IF we deny His sayings we deny HIM , we have banned him.

How bout we talk about , not swearing or taking any to court.   Or not to self defend but to even offer the other cheek.
