Btw, probably there is gonna be the "boredom room" for people who just like to do nothing and complain about other's activities too, so that they may be happy and satisfied as well :P

No I'm not, I'm always talking about Heaven in my posts, and not in a passive way of sitting down and wait for it, but as Jesus taught US in an active way of hastening his coming through the Lord' s prayer. Here's a more detailed answer of my thoughts about Heaven, from a previous answer I have written in another thread:

it's always beautiful to reason about how life will be in the Kingdom. It keeps us focused on what waits for us, it fills our hearts with gratitude so that we can serve the Lord even better.

Let's have the Scriptures talk for us, into 2 parts:

----------------------------------------------------

1 -On "pleasures":

"I say to you that many will come from the east and the west, and will take their places at the feast with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven. "

"for I say to you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine from now on until the kingdom of God comes."

"However, as it is written: "What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived" -- the things God has prepared for those who love him--"

"Blessed are those servants whom the master finds awake when he comes. Truly, I say to you, he will dress "himself for service and have them recline at table, and he will come and serve them."

From these verses, we can imagine that incredible pleasures wait for us in the Kingdom. They will be different from the pleasures of the flesh in this world for 2 reasons:

1) in this world, someone have houses, good food, a healthy body, while someone else is starving to death. When we decide to go for a 2 weeks/thousands dollar vacation, we are "enjoying" it while someone else is starving to death. Instead, in the Kingdom there will be abundance everywhere, so pleasures will not be tied to guilt.

2) every pleasure will be made by God, so it will be incredibly better in its nature than those ruled in some ways by Satan

In particular, I'm never able to read the whole verse from Luke 12:35-40 without joyfully crying. How mindblowing and heartblowing is the image of Jesus that "will dress "himself for service and have them recline at table, and he will come and serve them."?

----------------------------------------------------

2 - On "being similar to God":

"Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is."

"It will be good for that servant whose master finds him doing so when he returns. 47 Truly I tell you, he will put him in charge of all his possessions."

"All I have is yours, and all you have is mine. And glory has come to me through them."

A loving Father, always wants His daughters and sons to develop at the maximum of their capacities.

Even a loving earthly father wish his daughters and sons to become noble, smart, capable, etc.

Now, it's reasonable (and Scriptural) to think that God wants us to be as similar to Him as possible (but of course not identical, he'll remain our King, in the Kingdom). So He'll likely give us incredible power.

That is another reason why is so important to become loving beings, before entering the Kingdom! Because we'll not stand still and doing nothing. We'll have incredible powers, by being similar to God. And only a loving being can use power for loving purposes, while power of evil beings must be limited, to avoid them hurt themselves and others (Indeed it's written: "Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much.  So if you have not been trustworthy in handling worldly wealth, who will trust you with true riches? And if you have not been trustworthy with someone else’s property, who will give you property of your own?")

----------------------------------------------------

Finally, beware of everybody who tries to depict Heaven as a boring, static place. By doing so, they make people even more attached to this world, because people start to think that there are some things that they will only being able to do in this existance, while one day there will be nothing to do, just a boring contemplation. This is not Scriptural, nor makes sense logically, as demonstrated above, but it's a great way to pull the love for Heaven out of people

Right. I just couldn't figure out what styles we would see there :emot-questioned:

Ha ha ha. After fifty years on job sites, with at least a half dozen screaming  boom boxes in at least two languages, competing to see who's is the loudest, my idea of heaven would be the absence of man made noise. (We're talking about HEAVEN!)   Though I like a lot of jazz and blues and sad old melodies, I don't thing they, or other man made music,  will have any appeal to our NEW nature.  Who knows, you may be a orchestra director? I know there will be sound, and singing, but I believe it will be so far beyond our present imagination/comprehension. Some of the old classical music I've heard and some current spiritual  instrumental, and some large choirs, can cause my thinking/feelings/emotions to pause,  and think about well being, the absence of all pain. Physical, mental, emotional.    say it................    "Lord come quickly"

and beware those who would bring earthen and contrary ideals of passions of this life , INTO HEAVEN so it don't sound boring to them.

IF our idea of heaven includes wordly pleasures you spoke of ,  then you need to die to those things .  you trying to bring heaven up to earth

BUT that wont be.  REMEMBER HEAVEN and all its HOLINESS , the KINDOM IT desecends to earth .

And if its in us now.............those worldy desires would be no more .    die to them .   let gets the focus off the entertainment of the world.

and back on Christ and the gospel .   For i play no video games etc,    YET AM FAR FROM BORED.  the presence of CHRIST should be what ENTERTAINS US .

Don't need the JOY of video games which , have you seen them  .  I mean if blood , war and sex is our entertainment .   THEN HOW ON EARTH DO WE KNOW CHRIST .

THE JOY OF JESUS is all we need.  THE JOY OF HIS SALVATION and the HOPE of His day should light a fire under us

that is all about doing all for the Kingdom with HOPE as we await HIS DAY.   I don't speak this to condemn you.  BUT TO POINT to JESUS and the JOY of knowing HIM.

and that joy wont fade even in prisons or persecutions .   ITS REAL.     and HOPE in HIM does endure and abounds through all times .    Blessed be the NAME OF OUR LORD

And blessed be the NAME OF CHRIST JESUS that saved this wretched thing and has given me new life where all hopes are above on HIM.

And may the LORD please keeping working on this man.   ONWARD in the LORD PEOPLES . RAISE UP THOSE HANDS AND PRAISE HIM and watch the JOY that FILLS YOU

Okay, as anyone will see as they view my profile pic, I'm a surfer. I have often wondered if surfing in the new earth will be an option. Why not? I know that the Bible says there will be no more sea, but that is in the context of there being no more earth or heaven as previously existed, yet we know there will be a new heaven and a new earth, so why not sea? After all, where will the river of life run into?

However, I am also considering that riding comets could be an option...they have a real cool wake behind them.

Yes indeed my friend I'm Up for that,  drop in on a Barreling Galaxy Cantus Firmus, blown out of the glassy the hollow tube with two fingers trailing in stary waters. :)

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
