Thank you @Margo1945

And I’m not picking on Neighbor when I say this, but if you go back and look at his(I’m assuming he is a man) first post, it was a joke about the wife being manipulative. Then his next post mentioned he was done with his “fun.”

So he is the one that saw it as entertaining.  Thanks for your insight on this thread. It was helpful.

Have a good evening ?

Recent True Story:

A wealthy Christian man cheats on his wife with multiple women. Some of the women are put up in apartments across the country so when he travels, he can be with them. The wife finds out and is asked by the couple's pastor to forgive. She does. He cheats again and she leaves him only to return again after he apologizes and goes to rehab for whatever problems he says is contributing to the cheating.

After he has gained her trust, he attempts to cheat again and she finds out about it. In his last effort to save his marriage, he flies in Pastor Anthony Thompson, the pastor whose wife was killed by Dylan Roof in the Charleston Church killings. The husband says that if Pastor Anthony Thompson can forgive the man who killed his wife and the other church goers, than she can certainly forgive him for adultery. And Pastor Anthony Thompson and other members of that church encourage her to forgive. The husband is praised in the paper for holding the event.

Manipulation, sincere contrition, or we can't know?

“ A wealthy Christian man cheats on his wife.....”.    Not that a Christian can’t cheat , but why assume this guy is a Christian at all ? Just because he claims to be one, or just because he goes to Church? He could be a Tare for all we know....churches everywhere are full of them. They look so much like the Real Thing , only an Angel can identify them......

As a nonbeliever I chose my own husbands X2....they certainly weren't chosen for me by God...I chose them..even as a non believer,it felt wrong marrying them..I expect they felt the same,lol....he aloud me to wed them....oh boy the consequences of those marriages nearly killed me.....X2 divorced as a non believer.....as a believer...no way will I choose a husband.....I wait on the Lord..I will definitely know if he brings a husband to me,we would both know...in our spirits....if he doesn't,then so be it.....God knows what is best for me...I will continue to remain faithful to my Lord....

Dear one, been there, done that, ...when the "light" finally came on in my thick skull, I said to Father, "You are the One who said, 'It's not good that man be alone,' ...so I'm asking you to bring the woman, my Eve, into my life, the one You have chosen for me!"

And He did, ...she was living on a different island than me and He even told me what church to go to to find her, ...and then confirmed it twice from His Word with Pro 18:22.

So beloved sister, be encouraged, ...you are some man's Eve, ...just pray and wait for what Father will do, and don't make any conditions, ...I had to move over 5,000 miles away from my "comfort" zone to meet her...

Lord bless

Yes and Amen!

Yes.

And it'll be "happy birthday Jesus", in just a few more days.

Sing to Him "happy Birthday".

Celebrate the LORD's birth.

. but only if our confessing our sin and sincerely asking forgiveness show genuine repentance of change of one's heart back to God and His Will .

We as the born again, don't have to confess sins to be forgiven..... This is because we are already forgiven, of all our sin.

Christ "BECAME" our sin on the Cross.

This is the effect of the Blood Atonement.  Its not just in effect for 24 hrs after you are saved.  Its IN EFFECT till the Day you Meet God and the day after that, and till infinity......No time limit on "justification by Faith".

So, that verse in 1 Jn that you are confused about, is not relevant to the born again, as all their sins, have already been forgiven.   And not only that.....  = The Law has no more power to judge a born again person AS a sinner, as "Christ has redeemed ALL the Born again, FROM THE CURSE......OF......THE ......LAW">...  So we are not under that curse., as this is also what Jesus was taking care of, on the CROSS.

You should study Paul's epistles, and start with this..... Romans 3:21 - 28, and then Romans 4:8, and you should study them until God gives you the actual revelation of the Grace of God.

The Grace of God, is why we are eternally secure in our salvation.

A lot of really bad teachers, will try to teach you that you are the final authority, regarding staying saved..  But this is not the truth.  The final authority regarding your salvation, your ETERNAL LIFE, is the One who gave it to you.   He is the one who keeps you............saved.

That's why you need to prayerfully study.

I agree with this, but to make a point. I absolutely believe that confession and asking forgiveness is not necessary because as you say the blood is eternally and without failure efficacious. I have found a thing to be of help, but not of a doctrinal nature.

Asking forgiveness for a thing is not the same as confessing a thing. Confession is an agreement regarding a thing coming from honesty.

There are times when this is healthy. Do you understand what I mean? Yes Lord---I agree. Its an internal witness.

If you go back and read my posts , it will be clear that the only thing that I promote is NOTHING BUT THE BLOOD......how I would hate to be on the other side of that Position!  I say “ JESUS plus NOTHInG.......His Sacrifice alone

On the Other Hand.....YOU say that Jesus is Essential for Salvation.....He is just not “ enough” for Salvation ! If you do not have the “ Good Luck” to  Repent between a hypothetical Heart Attack and your death, sorry, Saint— you are destined for HELL!

You say Jesus PLUS Repentance( do you understand now why I call it “ Lucky Repentance ? )

I say Jesus plus NOTHING!

Now—-YOU tell ME who exalts JESUS the most .Those that ADD to what Jesus accomplished on the Cross....or those that simply put their Faith in His Blood. The answer is obvious—- And you say that “ I “ might be a “ TARE?”  I will let the Readers decide......

Let me make myself clear . You don’t HAVE to Repent to stay saved. You WILL Repent once you ARE SAVED.If one has the Holy Spirit in them , God will MAKE you a “ lover of the Brethren”——God will MAKE you a giver ....God will MAKE you a person who puts “Kindness, Justice and Mercy”  (the HEART OF THE LAW ) above the LETTER of the Law......He will MAKE you sorrowful  and Repentant when you sin......Repentance is a natural Fruit in the life of a Believer.....part of God transforming a person into the image of His Son.....If one sins and it becomes something where the PAIN of sin ( sorrow and repentance) outweighs the PLEASURE of sin, the sinner may decide to ABANDON those sins .....it becomes like sticking your hand in a fire. Who wants that?Repentance- The sorrow and regret for Sin— is a TOOL of God. A type of Chastisement to “ whip us into shape”. A TOOL of Sanctification.....NOT the MEANS of Salvation......Repentance is a painful, yet vital part of  God’s Plan for His errant Children.....Some exalt it to the position that is fitting only for Grace ..... Grace is  what covers sins between the moment one is Saved and the moment the Believer makes it HOME......NOT the Good LUCK and the SUPER MEMORY of one who supposedly can  “REMEMBER” all the sins of their lifetime—- Sins That GOD has already Promised to “ FORGET”as far as Salvation is concerned.....Grace is the Way Of GOD to make you “ fit for Heaven—-NOT Repentance. Does it seem unfair to your human  mind ? Perhaps. If that is the case, all God can say to you is, “ Get Over It” .    God bless us all in the understanding of these things!

"There are times when this is healthy"

If I allow a bad thought, or commit a bad action, I confess it.   All day long!   "Taking every thought captive"...
I examine them. I agree with God that they're sin, even those 'accidental' ones, those "unintentional " ones.  (no such thing:)
I'm the one who missed the mark, no matter the reason. ME. No excuses!
If I do not confess, agree, when I/you know I should, I have programmed darkness/false data, untruth, into my heart (brain memories)
Like you said Alive, I'm agreeing with God that what I had done is missing His target, His mark, (desire) for my life.
This acknowledgement to God is allowing more truth, light, true data, into my heart. (brain-memory)
This light chases out the darkness (false data).
****Note, repentance is changing thinking, which changes my action!!***
Garbage in, garbage out.
When I ask forgiveness, even  knowing they have all been forgiven, nailed to the cross,
it's usually just before bed when reviewing my day with God,
it's more a sense of being so sorrowful  for the marks I missed. Sins......
A sense of feeling haven grieved the spirit some, fellowship diminished.
But only in my spirit, knowing God never changes.
His love is always there.
(While we were yet sinners!)

Yes--you have illustrated what I mean.  It's good for our soul, but I also believe that it goes deeper and has much to do with 'maturity',  but I think you have said this. These things are examples of the difference between head knowledge and 'experiential' knowledge. The first is good, but shallow--the second is better and deeper. This is what it means to walk with Him...and much more.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
