Shalom everyone,

As most of you know, I'm quite busy on a speaking tour, so my time to moderate has been drastically reduced.  However, last week I was staying on top of everything and when I left for the weekend, there were NO reports ... and generally weekends are fairly slow on the forums, since people are doing their things over the weekend.  However, over the weekend, I saw an explosion of chaos on the forums.  Lots of nasty mudslinging ... and quite frankly quite un-Christ like.  I don't have the time to PM each and every issue since there is over 30+ reports.  So I'm publicly reprimanding all those involved ... and for each infraction I'm adding a 3 day Moderator Review to their account.   Moderator Review is not a means of banning anyone, but used as a method to convey our purpose and a means of correction.

My goal is to create a forum whereby Christians can talk out differences in LOVE ... not to declare who are "heretics"!  If you believe someone is in ERROR ... then take the passage given by Paul to heart ... Galatians 6:1  Brothers, if a man is overtaken in a fault, you the spiritual ones restore such a one in the spirit of meekness, considering yourself, lest you also be tempted.
Gal 6:2  Bear one another's burdens, and so you will fulfill the Law of Christ.

The idea is to GROW through discussion.  When a Rabbi gathers his talmudim (students) ... he sets them in a circle or a square and brings up a discussion topic ... and lets the students argue it out ... he doesn't take sides ... he uses the exercise to sharpen their understanding.

My job is not to "determine" what is "right or wrong" for I am just a man myself ... but to create an environment whereby we can learn from one another in LOVE!  If you can't abide by the simple rules of the Terms of Service, you can find hundreds of forums out there to argue ... but as for this forum, I'm a believer that we're SMART ENOUGH, and LOVING ENOUGH to recover our brothers and sisters out of error not by INSULTS, but by reasoning with one another in LOVE!

If you ever find yourself in a position whereby you feel personally attacked, then REPORT the post.  I DON'T have time to read through entire threads, and the limited time I am on the forums ... I'm only reading reports and why they are reported.  If it's an infraction, I will deal with it!

It's a NEW YEAR -- a NEW DECADE ... let's go forward as a body ... learn from one another and grow in love and patience toward one another!   :)

Have a blessed New Year!

Your brother in the Lord with much agape love,

George

Thank you

If I may add...

How can seekers be drawn to the light of the Lord when they see this type of ugly behavior from Christians?

Thank you for the examples.  I guess I can apply them to myself, as that log in my own eye.

Apology for my own short coming.

Don't know about pledges for a year, but will try  for today and then tomorrow and then tomorrow after that and see if it becomes habit forming.

I think creating a forum to talk things out is a very good idea. I have been confused and frustrated at times of why the moderators took the action that they did.

Usually I try to send Private Messages and work behind the scenes.  Most people don't realize I have probably 2x the number of Private Messages than I have posts on the forums.   However, this instance basically was on one particular thread, and the same topic that rehashes itself every few months.

Sometimes when a thread gets out of control ... perhaps people can see what is or is not acceptable behavior.  :)  We'll see if this changes the way people interact with one another.  :)

Thank you George. We all know sometimes how difficult it is to be humbled. Many times I disagree with the author of an article and wished I had shown more restraint---after the fact. I think most times we become impassioned about what we believe without the intention of hurting someone; we let our emotions run away with us without realizing it, and start to lose track of where they are going. I think everyone who is honest with themselves will see how they can, and do, fan the flames of needless controversy. Someone spoke to me about kindness in a private conversation; I accept it with thanksgiving. I hope you and your family---as well as everyone here---have a spectacular New Years!

None of us are perfect in this regard. When we care about something a great deal and think it is important for others to understand--or to say another way-- have a strong conviction about a thing, it is easy to come across as forceful.

I think if we slow down and pause and 'look to Him' we find a sense of what is proper and perhaps temper our presentation.

Some doctrinal issues are of more grave importance than others. A thank the Lord for the opportunity.

Praise the Lord and Maranatha! One day soon, we will know as we have been known and all things will be answered.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
