They, themselves are no more sinful than any other disabled person.

Hi,

God has said disability is not a result of sin.( Reference John 9) He has also said homosexuality  is an abomination.

God declares that homosexuality is abomination, so evil that He turns individuals over to their own strong delusion as a result of their embracing homosexually. ( Leviticus 20,& Romans 1)

And all the time it is a disability?  God declares at least some disability to be an abomination? I don't think He does. Therefore I think the argument that homosexuality is a disability is, well just plain off base; wishful thinking at best, and a  self deception at worst,- a wishful thinking perhaps. Sorry but there is no softer way to state that.

All that said, a saint in Christ still prays earnestly and constantly for the person suffering under strong delusion that results from  abominable behaviors.

It is so very tragic! Many if not most of us have some dearly beloved one that suffers it's consequence. All the more reason to pray for the intercessionary overcoming of it, by God the Holy Spirit, in the very serious and unambiguous manner in which God emphatically condemns it.

Sorry that it causes so much pain for so many of us, and that some of us may even deny it as it hurts us so much knowing that without a turning about from this abomination people we know and love that are engaging in it will not inherit the kingdom of God.

This discussion is a strong reminder to me to be in prayer for two specifically whose homosexuality hurts so deeply  their siblings that do love them in the very personal sense of loving one's immediate family. It is easier to pray for those afflicted in general, but oh so painful when faces are put to the prayers.

May the brothers and sisters in Christ  pray for one another and each other's friends, siblings, and family. Praying that the Holy Spirit will turn about each to Jesus as Lord God and personal savior.

May God bless.

"Are People BORN GAY?"  DVD lecture by Georgia Purdom Phd.  Published by:  Answers in Genesis.org

Dr Purdom reviews all the studies so far.  Concludes there is NO EVIDENCE that people are ever "born gay".

Men are not "born" monogamous either.  Doesn't mean they can't act monogamous (with the LORD's help).  Or celibate.  Either is acceptable - in the NT.

I personally feel that I was. My former spouse unfortunately was not. Sorry, this is recognizably off-topic.

People who can't help feeling attraction for the same sex is not a sin (just like its not a sin to suffer temptation by a very attractive woman), likley they suffered something or became confused when they were babies. (I dont believe anyone is born gay) or they are under demonic oppression. To act on that homosexual desire is sin though.

I disagree... the pattern is

Gen 2:22-24

22 And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.

23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.

24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
KJV

This is the Godly created pattern and even to entertain thoughts of other is rebellion against the pattern God has set forth... it is also written

2 Cor 10:5

5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
KJV

God expects us to die to that which we have began in and live in newness of mind formed by The Scriptures...

Christians who preach against gay people cause suicide of young people, I know the law speaks about it, but Christ is the only one who ever obeyed the law we don't.

1 Peter chapter 4 verse 8

Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.

1 John chapter 1 verse 8

If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.

James chapter  2 verse 10

10 For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it.

Galatians chapter 2 verse 21

21 I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!

The Bible makes it clear that some sins are worse than others.I think the danger with homosexuality is that they may be in the group of those whose consciences are so “ seared” , they may never have the desire nor see the need to turn to God for Salvation.Like anybody else, if they turn to God with Faith in Jesus they will be saved.Saying with a sincere, Contrite Heart .... “Lord, have mercy on  me , a sinner” will get the job done.

The first time I walked into a church, eyes filled with tears because God had forgiven my sins, not a single person came up to me and asked me why I was crying. Not a single man or woman shook my hand---except for one---a homosexual man who I came to find out later was wrestling with that very sin. He comforted me, consoled me, and later became my friend. A woman there came to love him, but could not marry him because he was gay; but he told her that he was struggling, and if she might give him a chance, the Spirit of God was working in him. She waited---for months---to see whether God was changing his heart. She married him. He never went back to his old ways. He was only 53 when he died, but nearly every member of that congregation was present at the viewing. We know that God can change a man's heart---any man He pleases.

All individuals are born totally depraved.

Homosexuality is a sin, just as is everything else that defies Gods law is.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
