Years ago, me and my daughters, we were on private property with permission, were threatened by a gang of low-life trespassers, fortunately I was armed. I pulled my Remington pump action shotgun from under a blanket on the back seat of my 4X4, racked it, pointed it at the gang, and they ran like rabbits. Never had to fire a shot. I reported the incident to police and the sarg., said, "Thank God you were armed Haz." I thank God every day for all things, especially for providing me with the resources to protect me my family, and my property.

May be God would not let you go to that place if you pray in Holy Spirit annointment before deciding to have a picnic.

What long term good is a check from a government that has no funds with which to back it?  This scheme is confiscation,  a tax, pure and simple. Welfare for everyone, instead of charity (love) for all. Government has no charity, it has only schemes by which to stay in power. This so called crisis is a power grab an opportunity to excuse  total control over not only toilet  paper, but when and where one might use it.

Brothers and sisters in the Lord are already sharing with each other of their food, fuel, even toilet paper, and medicines. Many are already organizing by seeking out those in need of any kind,  and doing whatever is possible to do to extend help and charity ( love) to our own and to the unsaved as well, all in the name of Jesus, as the needs become known.

Can one buy a gun and ammo so that they may not have to share of what they  have with another in need, and hoard instead in the name of our Lord to His glory alone?

two things....   one:  this country has been bankrupt since 1939 and has not had enough funds of real worth to back it up....

two:   I don't have a gun to not share what I have with others....   I have a gun so they won't just come and take everything I have....   and that's been the case long before this little disruption came about....    and yes I have had them try...

Dream on.

my understanding is that if you filed taxes last year and made less than $75,000 you will get that check and your underage children will get $500.    I'm not sure that we will get anything for our income is not earned, but investments from a 401k....    we really don't need it so if we do get a check we will be giving it to young friends who will be struggling or to our church which I'm sure will fall short of our regular giving.

I've had practical experience with the highlighted situation... quite frankly I'm astonished to see this in writing.

I've had a gun pointed at my head while the one brandishing it demanded "the money." I pulled out my wallet, handed him a twenty dollar bill, and then watched the robber withdraw and leave.

Had that happen with a homeless guy a few years ago when I was working nights.....   figured the guy didn't really want to hurt me so I ducked and took his gun away from him....   we talked for a little while and then went over to McDonald's and had breakfast...    Turned out to be just a guy who was starving and afraid.    When we left I gave him $75 and kept his gun....   told the police I found it behind a service station and turned it over to them....    apparently it wasn't stolen for a few months later I was told no one had claimed it and could have it if I wanted....    I didn't need it so I let them have it and they sold it in an auction.

BTW I was armed and could have killed the guy legally if I had chosen to do so.....     Guns are the last resort not the first...    and I don't think most anti-gun people understand that.

It does bother me a lot that so many people are buying guns right now for the first time....   and they have 0 experience and 0 safety understanding and I do agree that is a recipe for disaster if they don't get that training; and the situation is that they might really need it before they have the time to do that.    It really isn't that difficult to accidentally shoot yourself if you don't follow safety measures....

and yes I have had them try...

Did you then invite them in the name of your Lord to come sit and partake  of the word of God and to have some water and or food if they have need and want to fellowship? Some have been so bold as to do so. I am amazed by it, but some have. We knew one couple that lived high on the hill above the Port of Los Angeles. They were led to sel out their home and buy a home with a large courtyard right  by Santa anita and the forum. Where thransients wandered .They put a light on at the patio had food ready and simply feed and shared with very wanderer and thief and deranged person that saw the light and cam eup to take, finding thta instead they could partake. In addition they started going to the horrible city flats where the illegals and the vey poor lived , up to 17 people to a flat, all living in what is called hot sheets conditions. They brought and shared Bibles food fruit clothing, they asked all of us if we would join in by gathering  up food and clothing.

Soon, informally without organizing as a charity, many were busy  going about sharing of our Lord in practical way, by sharing of what they needed for the physical bodies as well as tending to their spiritual need. It literally became the people high on the hill bringing what was needed to the poorest among us all. No one carried a weapon no one racked shotguns to scare anyone. Many  a very poor and terribly needed individual receive some hope and some kindness. Perhaps some became prepared to recive the specific call to them by the Holy Spirit to turn about to Jesus as their Lord and their savior. It does seem to me that the illogical became the mission  that God wanted this couple to d o, to help th every poor and just as important, to educate the very rich as to His desire for us all.

PS - far as I know none of us was led by the Holy Spirit to rack a shotgun and certainly not led to make icons of our Lord with false scripture and having our Lord holding a rifle. That I am afraid  reveals so very much that is extremely sad.  It is the most offensive (to me anyway) imaging and parody of scripture that I have ever seen. To see it on a Christian Forum, ...sad very sad. Praying that it will be removed, removed from the heart too.

So one that doesn't need it might give this excess away to God, is that right?  In effect the State funds the church of our Lord Jesus? What of sacrificial giving of that which one does need, and the sharing of that anyway?

Seems to me sharing from what  is unneeded and unappreciated excess is not what my Lord asks of me individually to share with the needy among us.  Giving of some uneeded extra funds just doesn't seem to fit in with the mindset of those that received Jesus long before us and how they helped each other.

That account is an exhortation. It is in my Bible for my enlightenment and sanctification. It  s a challenge! One I have to face; how am I personally  to honor God?

Perhaps  it is such a time as it was before. I ask  of myself, am I ready? It seems the challenge may be here. How far will I personally go  in the faith of Jesus that is revealed to me  in Acts? It is a challenge to my own heart spirit and very soul. How much of "encouragement", the heart of Joseph who was called Barnabas, is in me?

"Now the full number of those who believed were of one heart and soul, and no one said that any of the things that belonged to him was his own, but they had everything in common. And with great power the apostles were giving their testimony to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and great grace was upon them all. There was not a needy person among them, for as many as were owners of lands or houses sold them and brought the proceeds of what was sold  and laid it at the apostles' feet, and it was distributed to each as any had need.  Thus Joseph, who was also called by the apostles Barnabas (which means son of encouragement), a Levite, a native of Cyprus,  sold a field that belonged to him and brought the money and laid it at the apostles' feet."

I don't think a lot of the buying of guns has much to do with protection, but rather panic buying. First there's a surge of cities and states threatening to stop gun sales-so you see a rash of people buying guns before they're illegal. And that naturally creates a run-others are buying guns, so others follow suit to buy guns before they all sell out and so on and so forth.

Today I heard that only people making 40k to 70k; those who normally would have to pay when they file taxes, would be getting a check. So then in coming years they simply pay it back, seems like they are only giving it to people they feel can pay it back... But only the middle class?  Madness.

I don't think things will happen all of a sudden, we can see that they will cleverly get some cash this way, over years of time... A lot is being masked by this "virus". The weather is not supposed to be like this right now, it's getting hotter very fast, as someone who works outside and for whom the weather is always a factor I can tell that something is now very strange about the weather. But people will rejoice over the record heat due to the 'virus' being abated... And people will sound many Trumpets (pun intended) when the economy starts to turn back around... But it's then likely that history will repeat itself, with another great war starting not very long after these times. 1918-1919 was the great plague then 1929 stock market crash then 1939 ww2 started.

It's likely that something will cause the price of food to go up. The price of oil/gas is dropping fast, it should be clear that that has nothing to do with the "virus", which also makes clear that the "virus" is likely a mask, and a distraction from whatever else is going on behind the presented hype of the "virus".

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
