It depends of what part of the Bible we obey. If we are clinging to the OT teachings yes, it is legalism.

Do you think it is ok for a man to marry his sister?  Do you think it is ok to follow horoscopes?  There are no New Testament scriptures forbidding either practice and there is no scripture that says legalism is bad.

I agree with that.  We should try our best to obey those with the rule over us, but I disagree with the mandates.  I still try to obey them.  How come people see disobeying this law as rebellion, but when we say to obey the Bible it is called legalism?

You know the answer to  your question.   The bible is considered as not scientific and the government for the most part depends on the scholars and scientist for facts.  Spiritual things are foolishness to those of the carnal world.

1 Corinthians 2 King James Version (KJV)

14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

Does that mean you think a man can marry his sister and follow the horoscope today?  How about marrying his mother if his father died?  There is no New Testament scripture forbidding it.  Also, the word legalism is not found in the Bible.

1 Corinthians 2 King James Version (KJV)

14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned."

I think this verse is taken out of context to argue civil authority should be disobeyed because they are of the world and not spiritual.

Back up a bit:  1 Cor 2:1-13

"Yet among the mature we do impart wisdom, although it is not a wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are doomed to pass away.  But we impart a secret and hidden wisdom of God, which God decreed before the ages for our glory.  None of the rulers of this age understood this, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.  But, as it is written,
“What no eye has seen, nor ear heard,
nor the heart of man imagined,
what God has prepared for those who love him”—
these things God has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God.  For who knows a person's thoughts except the spirit of that person, which is in him? So also no one comprehends the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.  Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might understand the things freely given us by God.  And we impart this in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the Spirit, interpreting spiritual truths to those who are spiritual."

This is not an advocacy to rebel against the government because they are not Godly.  Rather the purpose of these verses is to argue Jesus and the Apostles are teaching about a Spiritual place with Spiritual rules which are hidden from non-Spiritual people.  Again, the argument here is people who are not spiritual will not understand spiritual things when preached to and will reject them as they rejected Jesus.

There is a common trap when using individual scripture to argue a point which is then given correction and balance in other portions of scripture such as:

1 Timothy 6:2 "Those who have believers as their masters must not be disrespectful to them because they are brethren, but must serve them all the more, because those who partake of the benefit are believers and beloved. Teach and preach these principles.
If anyone advocates a different doctrine and does not agree with sound words, those of our Lord Jesus Christ, and with the doctrine conforming to godliness,   he is conceited and understands nothing; but he has a morbid interest in controversial questions and disputes about words, out of which arise envy, strife, abusive language, evil suspicions,  and constant friction between men of depraved mind and deprived of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain.   But godliness actually is a means of great gain when accompanied by contentment."

I Peter 2:15 "For  such is the will of God that by doing right you may silence the ignorance of foolish men."

Romans 9:14 "What shall we say then? There is no injustice with God, is there? May it never be!   For He says to Moses, “I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.”   So then it does not depend on the man who wills or the man who runs, but on God who has mercy."

Galatians 5:13 "For you were called to freedom, brethren; only do not turn your freedom into an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.   For the whole Law is fulfilled in one word, in the statement, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”   But if you bite and devour one another, take care that you are not consumed by one another."

Romans 13:1-14
"Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed..."

It is not a Biblical word, and it means different things to different people.  You can be legalistic in the eyes of one but not another.

I wash my hand  But i havent got any mask

they are not easy to get hold of. I haven't  got a problem in wearing it to ease peopke fears. but if God can't help against the virus I am not convinces musk is going to to better help.

Myself and all of us believers  are in trouble if God doesn't help.

That my near and dear friend was precisely what i have been waiting to hear .

SO lets recap on this one .      First let me ask questions so i am not yet again falsey accused or misunderstood .

DO i wash my hands .   YOU BET .

Do i keep the social distancing .   YES , but not because i fear .

So now let us get to the meat of my peace    , which IS JESUS .

I am fully persauded and firmly convinced that GOD ALONE is in total and complete control .

Let us bask in the ambience of this eternal truth before i continue .

Okay .

The truth is ,    one could wash their hands ten billion times a day ,  wear a triple layered bio hazard suit with double masks and all .  AND YET if the LORD allows it , I PROMISE they will catch corona .

PEROID .   now let that sink in EVERYONE .

at the same time ,   i could not wash my hands ,  hug even the sick ,      AND YET IF GOD ALLOWS IT NOT ,  I WONT GET SICK PEROID .       THAT IS HOW PERSAUDED I AM THAT GOD ALONE IS IN CONTROL .

While i do wash my hands and so forth ,  ALL IS VAIN LEST THE LORD KEEP WATCH OVER MY SOUL .  PEROID .

I GOT zero FEAR of this plague .    For while it is named crown , as corona means ,    and while it prowls the earth and has whatever power it is given to do so ,

I GOT A KING in the heavens ,  and HIS CROWN rules over all heaven and earth .  HEHAS a name GIVEN that is above all names , and HE IS NOT LIMITED IN POWER PEROID .

Whether i live or die ,    I BELONG TO THE KING .      And though i walk through the valley of the shadow of corona , i shall not fear the crown whose power is over the earth ,

I SHALL REJOICE in the KING who has the TRUE CROWN and has power over heaven and earth and all that dwells within .

Well now. How did this get thrown into this topic? Maybe I don't want to know. (by the way it is against the law to marry your sister)

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
