One thing that can help is to pray before you fall asleep at night, covering yourself with the blood of Jesus.  Also, memorize these (and any other comforting verses that come to your attention), and quote them before you go to bed at night.  If you are awaken with bad dreams, pray covering yourself with the blood of Jesus, and quote these verses again.  You might write the verse on index cards and keep them near your bed for easy access until you have them memorized.
I've slept with my Bible for decades (since I came to the Lord at age 13, and am in my 40's now).  Sleep with some soft Christian music playing.  I use "AdBlocker" browser on my mobile phone so I can listen to a playlist of praise and worship or Scripture at night without ads interrupting my listening.  Good Holy Spirit anointed music is a great deterrent against demonic activity.  (Read in the OT about David playing his harp before King Saul to give Saul reprieve from tormenting spirits.)

Keep this up daily/nightly.  But also be sure and build relationship with God... because it's not all about a magic formula.  It is our relationship with Him and trusting Him to keep us through our trials.

I would also like to say .... that if you do all these things and do not find any relief, you might want to ask the Lord to reveal to you if there is more about these dreams that He would like you to know/see.  Ask Him to prepare your heart to see and hear what He wants you to see and hear and be willing to look at what He brings to your attention.  Sometimes spiritual and mental battles have roots that go very deep and God's ultimate goal is our freedom so we can walk as the overcomers He intends us to be. :)

thank you for mentioning the story about David ! I just recently found a Christian harp player , it happened so naturally. And I have began to find some Christian music that is a style that I enjoy, something relevant to  my generation (I'm 23 next month)

Greetings, enemy of the world, and welcome to this community.

The dream could be from demons to scare you, but it could also be God trying to warn you of what you are up against spiritually in trying to give your life to God. If you would like an interpretation, you could post the dream publicly, or send it to me privately if you like if you think it's too personal. I'd be glad to help.

In Christ,

Hidden In Him

Thanks! This makes a lot of sense. I can see how God is just showing me enough to make me aware of the darkness to guide me towards the light.

Your post sounds so familiar to someone who is already born again. (saved) So my question to you would be this. Are you a Christian or not?

thanks for your question, if you are interested please read my reply to Billiards Bill

explain to me what you mean by becoming born again...   have you declared to people that Jesus is your Lord and do you believe the Father raised him from the dead...

thanks for your question! i answered this in my reply to Billiards Bill (I'm in a state of physical pain I think I have a lyme disease co-infection that I have to get a blood test for and begin treating asap, so this is not well organized but its the best I can do)

A dream isn't also always a God-given VISION. Dreams stem from conflicts we have during waking hours. Think about the specifics and your current stress is contributing to your dreams.

What does "in the process of becoming born again" mean? To be born again is a one-time act, where you tell God you are trusting Jesus, not yourself, for salvation.

I have accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior, what is the most historically accurate name to call him by anyway? However I have gripes with a few common Christian doctrines and have not yet studied the Torah. I haven't even yet found my favorite bible translation. I think I'm the type of person who would like to interpret the closest unedited translation. I have a long road of research and discernment and prayer and journey to walk before I have a better understanding of my own faith,

For now I believe satan is real, and Jesus is my personal salvation, my connection to the Light, I believe I am separated from God, I recognize myself as a sinner and someone who needs Jesus at every turn. That knowing his love and message of forgiveness is my only true peace and is the main thing that allows me to grow in grace and love and other qualities he wants us to embody with one another and with myself.

I don't have the same views as many Christians I have been exposed to, interpreting that many will be sent to hell just for not comprehending Jesus' life and message. I don't understand why God would let us have free will to go to hell if he created us and already knows the future. Its impossible for me to comprehend right now.

From my understanding, this link would probably be the most accurate.

The True Hebrew Name of the Biblical Messiah

bibletruth.cc/Body_The_Messiahs_Name.htm

The Messiah of Scripture has a real name. It is not Jesus. His real name, the name which we should be pronouncing with our lips, is the name Yahusha. When you call upon the name of the Messiah, be sure to use his real name.

Don't let any of this worry you. Just concentrate on walking in relationship with the Lord, and pray daily that the Holy Spirit lead you into all truth. If you keep asking Him to be your teacher, he will lead you to good accurate teachers, as well as grant you revelation directly from the word of God on whatever concerns you. We all start out having our doubts and questions, but if you keep turning to Him in prayer, the Lord will teach you right from wrong and renew your mind to understand things which at the present time may still seem like a mystery.

Let me encourage you that your words are very promising here. It is indeed a long road of research and discernment and prayer and journeying with God. But so long as you don't let the enemy deceive you into believing He is unloving and/or unjust, He will prove Himself to you in every way that He is the True God of Love, of Holiness, of peace, hope, joy, strength, courage, wisdom, intelligence, righteousness and every blessing in the earth and in Heaven, and guide you into not only total fulfillment in this life but eternal happiness in the next.

Blessings in Christ, and congratulations on making the best decision of your life.

Your friend, Hidden In Him

Closet unedited English versions: NKJV, NASB

Many Christians, not a few, struggle with concepts of Hell and free will. We have free will but so does God. God's will is that every person trust Jesus for salvation, but He limits His sovereign power to share power and free will with us. Think about the perfection of it! EVERY person in Heaven wants to be there, every person in Hell doesn't want to be in Heaven. That makes great sense to me!

if you have a bit of money to spend buy a computer program for studying the Bible.    BibleSoft has multiple translations and transliterated where you can look at the Greek and Hebrew words themselves at the click of the mouse.  there is a whole bunch of commentaries for the so called expert's opinion...

i had a really really really bad dream, and i'm disturbed that there aren't any bible verses about the enemy using our dreams against us. i wish i could tell myself it was satan attacking me trying to discourage me. perhaps i can see it as God testing me asking me to cling more to Him, pray more for my self.

i am in the process of deciding to become born again and thought this could be easily explained as the enemy trying to put more disbelief into me and uncertainty about my future, as i am really unhappy with the place i live right now and feel a bit hopeless at times in finding a new home, friends, a church, a marriage...

Work on spiritual growth and repel the evil that tries to work in your mind. I dont think dreams are particularly a sign of anything. They come very randomly, and have no particular trigger, but stressful situations on the mind can have an effect to a degree.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
