For many days I have watched how Covid-19 social distancing and stay at home suggestions have been completely ignored while people gather for both the protesting and late night rioting.  I began to wonder if we will begin to see a spike of new cases in a week or two because of this disregard for covid-19 warnings?

I think this shows the strength of feeling about racism.

People are prepared and willing to put their lives at serious risk to protest.

"Greater love hath no man......" John 15 v 13

Yesterday I saw a clip on the news of white Christians kneeling, in a large group, in front of their black neighbors, praying out loud for forgiveness for any racism they have shown. It was a powerful clip.

The outpouring of love is incredible. Over here it has done the Christians great good as it has opened up discussion about true Christianity and fake Christianity.

People are asking questions about why some are taking the covid risk. And about what the Bible really says.

God uses all things for good

Genesis 50 v 20

I just looked up that clip... It is pouring rain out and the white people are kneeling at a barrier asking forgiveness for years and years of systematic racism... What a beautiful thing to see... THIS is the power of FORGIVENESS... and this is what is needed to move forward.

Is a different clip, sunshine and small community. No barrier. Just people kneeling and praying surrounded by black neighbors, many weeping in both black and white section.

Good this is happening more than one place. God is love.

Wingnut, what are your thoughts about singing in a building, something very common in your church and in mine?  It is only logical that as we sing, we expel more droplet laden air that could be COVID infected into the room's atmosphere.  Additionally, physical spacing is virtually impossible in a church setting.  In my church, we are simply using remote conferencing software programs.  Thus, we still meet without having to run the risk of causing others in our physical vicinity to become ill.  I am reminded of the Israelites, who were commanded to build a safety parapet wall around their flat roofs to prevent accidents: "If you build a new house, you must also make a parapet for your roof, so that you may not bring bloodguilt on your house because of someone falling from it (Deuteronomy 22:8).

It is likely that they will say that due to the riots/protests the "virus" is back with a vengeance and that we need to quarantine again.

And this time with the military on the streets.. because of the riots....

The paper money system is collapsing, and times are changing. Evil men seek to hide themselves and their schemes, and the evil one seeks to mask the end times.

Unless everyone intends to walk around in masks for the rest of their lives it really makes no difference, at some point we will all be exposed to it if it is as contagious as has been suggested.  Viruses don't just go away, once a person has been infected with a virus they will always be infected with it, and thereby can infect others with it.  For example, once an individual is HIV positive ( a well known virus), they are always HIV positive.  There are many viruses, which over time mutate into different strains and create new challenges.  While some viruses have been treatable over time, treatments only manage the symptoms of the virus for infected individuals, they are not cured.

Over time, medical researches fo find a cure for some viruses.  I had Hep-C and am now considered free of the virus.  Only God knows what is going to happen in these cases.

This entire thing stinks of nothing more than a method of conditioning, and quite frankly the only thing alarming to me from the outset is how easily people fall into the panic mode and surrender their own freedoms without batting an eye.  Churches should have never closed their doors, businesses should have never been forced to shut down.  It is hard to fathom any circumstance in which healthy people need to be quarantined.

I am of the school of thought that not enough planning went into these closures.  What happened was a blanket resolve, treating everywhere the same.  Less populated areas were treated the same as the inner cities, but the spread levels are no where the same.  Fear is a tool used by those who desire control, and it has worked well for them as most people succumbed to the tactics used against them.  The only reason I used a mask is to quell the fear of others.  When they saw someone without a mask, you could see in their eyes the fear planted in their thoughts.  The masks only protected people from someone who was coughing or sneezing.  What virus was airborne could easily find their way around the gaps in the masks as they were not sealed to the face, so it was only a band-aid of sorts.

Racism knows no color.  You will find it in every ethnic group.  I noticed that most protestors were wearing masks, which was wise on their part as they were not keeping their "social distancing".

If anyone has held racist thought or actions against another group, then yes, they should make it right.  Yet, if someone has not held such feelings or acted in such a way, what do they have to ask forgiveness for?  I do not agree that we are to be held guilty for something that happened hundreds of years before we were born.  I believe these actions derive more from forced guiltiness than from love, but let each person answer for their own actions.

I think we're all wondering this. If we don't see an increase in cases in the next month we're going to be asking why not. I know some doctors had hoped that Covid-19 would go dormant for the summer, so that would be my first guess. But I hope God is answering our prayers and taking this virus away.

Worship is at the heart of the gathering, so I'm all for it.

No clue how you equate a railing designed to keep people from falling off a roof to an illness, seems like a stretch to me.  Personally the only scripture even comparable to this type of circumstance that comes to my mind would be found in the instructions of Leviticus.

II Timothy 1:6 For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands, 7 for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.

I don't know about anyone else, but I know I wasn't given a spirit of fear, and I think that's at the heart of this.  The story of my life is already written, and I trust the one who authored it in regards to my well being.  If it is God's plan for me to die of the coronavirus, then that is exactly how I am going to die, and I'm fine with that.  This is why I don't think about the odds of death by car accident every time I get in a car, (which by the way, is exponentially more likely than dying from coronavirus), and it is also why I don't cower in fear during flu season (which by the way, would be about 4 times more likely to claim my life than the coronavirus).  If people are going to hide away from each other behind closed doors, holding everyone at arm's length for the rest of their days, they really aren't living anymore anyway.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
