Then we would no longer have a choice. That would be going backwards. Animals do not have choice. They tell a story about the pastor who said I can sin all I want, I just do not want to sin. We are a new creation in Christ and our old nature is gone.  There is no sin in Heaven. Satan and the angels got thrown down to the earth because of sin. Of course we leave our physical body behind. We have a spiritual body in Heaven but not a physical body like we do on Earth. At least that is what they teach.

we had a choice - to follow Christ or not. We made our choice. We have to stick with our Word to follow Christ, or face the consequences.

Jesus called people to follow Him. He did not say 'follow me until you change your mind'

Jesus clearly tells us we have to follow Him until the end. "the one who perseveres to the end will be saved". (Matthew 10:22)

Matthew 24:13
But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

Perhaps what you are thinking about is that God is able to finish the work He began in us.

"being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus". (Philip 1:6)

No. You miss my point again.

Actually you are the one missing the point but that is ok. I am not that worried about it.

People were messing with Paul's words even in his day itself. Romans 3:8, 2 Peter 3:15-16.

So it is no marvel that perhaps some of those same twistings have carried over into this day.

I strongly believe that much of Paul's letters have been heavily edited beyond what we realize.

And that we have to be led by the Spirit is clear from Romans 8:2,9,13-14 and Galatians 5:18-24.

If we are not led by the Spirit we are under the law.

The "us" Paul speaks of at the end of Romans 8 are those being led by the Spirit.

If we grieve the Holy Spirit, walking in a way contrary to what Christ and Paul taught, we become the enemies of God: Isaiah 63:10, Philippians 3:18-19.

"The enemies of the Lord shall be as the splendor of the meadows, into smoke shall they vanish" Psalm 37:20

Many are called but few are chosen.

I do not see more than a remnant or 10% of the people that actually represent God.

I agree with these 2 statements. This is why I don't argue with anyone anymore. I will add that the only possible way to know who's part of the 10% to look at how a person behaves, and that's impossible to do online. So why bother arguing.

Actually this has to do with the words that come out of their mouth. We are judged for every word we speak. We also can not approve of sin in others and that is a very high price to pay because people will disown us. They want hearty approval and we simply can not do that if we want to represent God.

"So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of My mouth." (Rev 3:16) This has nothing to do with salvation. This has to do with the remnant that take their priesthood serious to speak the word of God. This is how we know who does and who does not represent God.

"But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light." (1 Peter 2:9)

Omitting text from the bible never helps.

I see we on one page 4 of this and I have not read any other post other then the first three. But here is what I have to say. It is because King James got it wrong. Well they did not mean to get it wrong. They just did not know at the time. The newer translations corrected a lot of stuff. That is why some verses read differently.

Oh and I want to know if you are a real Jedi! :vader:

There many real Jedi's

The reason it does not show up in modern translations is due to Westcott and Hort which both have very questionable backgrounds removed lots of text from the bible.  They formed what is know as the critical text which most modern translation have adapted to.  Here is a link to all the text they decided to remove from the bible.

No I think what I am saying is right. But I'm not going to go on about. And it is not really removed. It is in a footnote. I always read the footnotes.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
