I know its not the same but going with this God " I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace. In the world you have tribulation and distress and suffering, but be courageous [be confident, be undaunted, be filled with joy]; I have overcome the world.” [My conquest is accomplished, My victory abiding."

Have I given in?

No.

Anyone who reads my posts (especially in the U.S. Politics section)

can clearly see neither is true.

I'm just matter-of-fact about it.

The Lord can still do miracles.

Will he?

I don't know.

But it's well past what we could have done about it.

That could be the best news though, because that's when God

Best I am to understand John my defense is to be of His Word
Jude 3

3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.

Don't suppose you have something written that is a bit more simplistic or maybe something with short explanations as how it relates?

@DeighAnn Continuing with a short explanation of the 10 parts of the theoretical hierarchy of control that I introduced earlier in this thread, having commented on Mediology as the top priority here are some thoughts about the next tier down:

  • TECHNOLOGY & IDEOLOGY

We are consumers of technology. The Industrial Revolution and the advent of Mass Production paved the way for Information Technology to become the prized commodity it is today, and now the race is on to make Artificial Intelligence just as accepted and accessible to the masses as the numerous labour-saving and lifestyle-enhancing inventions and devices that many of us take for granted.

The reticulation of hot & cold running water, sewerage and wastewater, electricity and gas, telephone and internet, plus the improvements in transport and travel, medicine and health, food technology, and so on, are examples of what is possible when ideas become realities.

The ideologies behind research and development have one thing in common, the belief that there is merit in making improvements, but the problem of who decides what is best and for whom is at the very heart of the relationship between technology and ideology, especially when these are both inclined towards weaponising and warfare.

Ironically the improvements in technology that came with the expansion of the Greek and Roman Empires also enabled the Gospel to spread. Establishment of roads and settlements along with more education in languages and communication made spreading Christianity to the uttermost parts of the world logistically less of a challenge for early Christians than it would have been without the benefits of these.

The same is true today. Modern technology makes it possible for ideologies to be delivered virtually on demand, but the need for control in this respect is becoming more and more evident.

In Revelation 13 we find just how much control of technology and ideology will eventuate, and who the controlling parties will be. Seen here in metaphorical vision mode, the satanically empowered infrastructure of unrighteous humanity is portrayed as capable of stamping out its opposition, and as weaponised with claws to rip apart any who would come against it, having feet like those of a bear.

Rev 13:2  And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.

Many tyrannical regimes require nothing less than the complete devotion and adoration of those they indoctrinate and subjugate, and we see this here:

Rev 13:4  And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?

Rev 13:8  And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

What technologies are employed in creating and animating the image of the beast, and in applying and administering the mark of the beast, are the subject of much speculation, but it is obvious that tyranny is involved.

Rev 13:15-17  And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.  (16)  And he causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:  (17)  And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

The way you worded the question made me feel funny, so a bit of explanation as to why I asked it felt in order.  Just sitting around pondering on Gods Plan from a spiritual perspective..

May I suggest you read some history, maybe history of Christianity.

Have you any idea of the nature of the Roman world that Christians were living in ?

It as not Christian, strange today's world is not Christian. They faced discrimination, loss of employment, being robbed of possessions, strange Christians face these threats today in the west, yes even in America.

Paul wrote to those facing perscution about these ' light and momentary troubles '

What does God want from all Christians. Simple to show that they Love him by how they live.

It takes Jesus to conquer this world, and the prince of this world.  An when he returns on a white horse, wearing many crowns, he will defeat everyone who opposes him, and reign openly forever.  You can call it conquering or just claiming what has always been his.  He is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.  There is no other.  Every knee will bow to him.  Even those who have chosen the lake of fire will acknowledge his power.  And this will be the destiny of people who seek power through any means in this world without acknowledging the ultimate power of Jesus Christ.

Which part would you like to discuss?

Though for me, I think Roman Candles pretty much covers the atmosphere of the nights and crucifixions, prison, and being fed to the lions, the day.

If I were to study history, besides learning some of the specifics of the HOWs and the WHOs, would I learn more?   I do my best to follow the instructions given .  I prefer to spend my mind-time there rather than filling it with the specific details of just how evil evil can be as I walk through the valley of the shadow of death.  I feel I give a decent run through of the events taking place in the world around me to know what time it is, but I don't live in that world.  I do what I can in the world around me and suffer and learn from the trials and tribulations that come my way while I strive to  walk more worthy and mature in Gods Way. I want to BE mature by the time I arrive where God wills me, be it on earth or in heaven.  When I think about the only thing I can take with me, Gods Word that endures forever and put that together with reigning with Christ as priests and judges for the Lords Day, I don't find that I really have time to study more of this earths history, I am barely scratching the surface of what God has told me to study,  not to mention we won't be remembering any of it at some point.

(One of the funniest things to me is the deeper I go into Gods Truth, the deeper I realize it is, the more aware I become of how little I know and I know when I learn more I will also learn there is even more to learn.  It is a world eternal, not the life of a blade of grass, in other words, once The Word has captured you, that is when you really start living, IMHO)

Romans 8:35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

Romans 8:36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.

Romans 8:37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us.

James 1:2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;

James 1:3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.

James 1:4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

I don't know what you mean by 'strange' Christians?

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
