Why did God change the dietary laws after the Flood?

If I may - as humbly as I can.  This is not God giving an age limit to humanity.  It can't be.  Far too many after the Flood lived long passed that and the average age span today is far less than that.  

This is God saying that he was not going to struggle with the sins of these people much longer and the Flood was coming in 120 years.  And it did.

Many fallen angels were taking flesh women (Daughters of Adam) to wife and having children with them.  These children were abominations to God.  This is the reason for the flood of Noah—to destroy their offspring which produced giant beings (called Nephilim).

I believe that is another whole topic.    I believe that when it says the SONS OF GOD it just meant those who served God, like you and me today, we are Children of God.  When it said the SONS OF MEN, that was the rest of the population....it wasn't angels. Angels, fallen or unfilled, I see no evidence in the Bible where they reproduce.

Fallen angels hv left their heavenly dwelling to copulate with daughter of men and  produce giants.

Jude 1:6, NIV: "And the angels who did not keep their positions of authority but abandoned their proper dwelling--these he has kept in darkness, bound with everlasting chains for judgment on the great Day."

Elohim is never used of men.

How many times in the Bible alone, did Satan try to annihilate the entire Jewish race by genocide?  Through the blood-line of the coming Messiah. What other race of people faced this? One other tactic Satan used, was to contaminate the blood-line of the human race with his "seed." [IE. Gen. 6:1-4 and after the flood]. Peter and Jude also make reference to that.

A 2017 paper that analyzed similar health metrics for over 240,000 Australians, part of the “45 and Up Study”, similarly found no increased longevity from avoiding meat:

We have shown in a large population-based Australian cohort that there is no difference in mortality between vegetarians and non-vegetarians. The results of our study seem consistent with other studies and meta-analyses which have shown that in non-selected populations a vegetarian diet is not associated with reduced mortality.

The earth, when Noah and his family came out of that ark, wasn't lush and full like the Garden of Eden.  And they needed nurishment.  Food was limited for a time.  And besides, the earth DID become lush and full again.  Why didn't God ban eating animals once that happened?  It's because the permission to eat animals had nothing to do with keeping man from evil.

In my own humble opinion, lifespans were shortened, as there was no more canapy as described in Genesis 1 and the earth took in more UV rays which we know produces free radicals in the body which we know causes the aging/decay process in people.

If eating meat shortened the lifespan, then we would have concrete proof over the centuries that vegans were healthier and lived MUCH longer than carnivores.  We don't have that evidence.

Finally, the lifespan of a person has nothng to do with the progression of evil in the world.  Be ye 24 or be ye 125 - sinners are sinners.

The Loma Linda research is know for bias.    It did not take into account that SDAist are more health consensus.   Also, if you visit every SDA Churches in your state and Choose to visit any other Christian Denomination in your state.   You will see that the average number of seniors are about the same.

aside:  If you visit all The Christian Science cult churches in your state.  You will see that the churches of that cult have vastly more seniors than any Christian Church.
