Definitely closer than this time last year!  The thing that many of us talk about in my fellowship circle are how things that are wrong being called right, white being called black, and visa versa.  (Isaiah 5:20-22)

Where are we at in prophecy? It depends on a multitude of hermeneutic viewpoints. What the Bible states, and what I see aligning and happening in the world today. I surmise we are at the tail end of this age, with the Tribulation near.

Luke 21:36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

Matthew 25:13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

To whom is Jesus addressing this? Watching patiently for what?

Jesus will be coming as a thief in the night to those not watching and to the unbelieving world. I cannot prove it, but we may receive a little advanced notice of His return by watching and anticipating.

In Matthew chapter 24 and elsewhere, we see what the world will be like in the final seven years. Of the laundry list of things mentioned, never in history could a check mark be placed next to every one of them rapidly progressing now.

If all the signs point to the near Tribulation, how much closer is the harpazo?

Hi @Dennis1209 I would see the great tribulation of Matthew 24 and the general tribulation principle in John 16.33 as distinct. The great tribulation of Matthew 24 is a unique future event in special circumstances.

@Jackero said in another thread "3. When Jesus was born into the world, the dragon tried to devour Him as soon as He was born (Revelation 12:3-4)." and, being that this event purportedly happened over 2,000 years ago, I am curious as to where you (the reader) believes we are in prophercy?

Thanks in advance1

Hi Not of the World.

Well, lets see:

We have govt's around the world in unity over this vax.... which is not really a vax but a bio-weapon

We have global citizen control using fear over this C-19 (Jesus tells us to "fear not")

We have Big Media telling us lies, lies and more lies.

We have the WEF and its leader, Klaus Schwab, dictating to global leaders the necessary things which must be followed by every country.

We have the war in Ukraine which is now considered global as the UN is supplying Ukraine with everything it needs to combat Russia and their alliances... ie China, Iran etc

The Russian threat of nuclear war

The possible invasions of China to Taiwan, N. Korea to S. Korea, Turkey to Syria,    US to Haiti......

Elon Musk saying that he will begin implanting control chips in peoples brains beginning next spring

Turkey's 100th anniversary of the Lausanne Treaty in 2023

The coronation of Prince Charles as King in 2023

The 5 red heifers turning 2 next year will allow Israel to begin sacrifices

We have (almost) runaway inflation

We have the supply chain crisis

We have fuel shortage.... esp diesel

We have fertilizer issues.... some govt's reducing consumption by 30% or more.... the Ukraine war making availability questionable

There is climate change (so the media says)

The carbon "Net Zero"

We are in the most trying times in the history of the world. These signs listed above, all happening within a few years, are clearly telling us that "something bad is coming"

2023 will be a critical year!

Jesus told us in Matt 24 about "birth pangs".

These will happen just before the 70th week or at the start of the 70th week.

Are the ones listed above "birth pangs"?

Some are.... wars and rumors of wars, deception, beginning of global famine.

I believe that the 70th week will begin either in the fall of 2023 at the start of the Feast of Trumpets.... or in 2024 at the start of the FofT's.

"Seventy captivities are determined upon thy people......." Daniel 9:24

So that is seventy sets of 70 year captivities, each ending with war.

4,900 total years.

We can see the start of a few still. 70 a.d.   1090 a.d. and 1945-1967.

But the record of time has been messed with, along with other records.

"After 32 captivities shall Messiah suffer the death penalty, but not for Himself"
Daniel 9:26

And it has been many years since then.

2000? There is evidence to the notion that 1000 years were added to our track of time, and also you can find history to the effect of another 300 years being added.
So minus 1300 the year now might actually be close to 722.

The Hebrew calendar is at 5783.

One day with the Lord is as 1000 years and 1000 years as one day.
2 peter 3:8
As I have sworn in my wrath they shall not enter into my rest
Psalm 95:11, Hebrews 4:3-4

God did rest the seventh day from all His labors.

In my book, that is date setting, which I shy away from.  Because if we set a date for the pre-trib rapture (i.e., first fruits), then it's an easy count down to the Lord's return . . . and we know no one knows that time, except our Father.

Hi Vine Abider,

I know it is commonly taught that the pre-trib rapture is first fruits, but that is incorrect. The pre-tribulation rapture is the harvest and are not first fruits. It is the early summer wheat harvest.

Well we had a big discussion about this over on the "Could there be multiple raptures thread" and I've decided now that I'm pan-trib . . . it'll just all pan out irregardless (as my grandpappy liked to say)!

Pan trib never interested me as I'm more interested in knowing the right answer. You know....study to show yourself approved and all. I'll check out your thread as it has to be a good one. In answer to that, yes there are two raptures. One for the Church before the seals are opened and one for the 12 tribes across the earth, the seed of the woman, at the 6th seal before the wrath of God.

Yes, I see you posted over there and I will read.  The point is that we've all heard so many ones willing to die on the hills of one of the particular rapture propositions - to the adamant exclusion of any other proposition. Personally, after looking at the whole thing for decades, I see multiple raptures and raptures conditional upon how mature (ripe) one is.

But in the end, rather than getting too extremely wrapped around the axle over a doctrine, I just know it will all pan-out in the end - He's got this, and will show each of us just what we need to know to pursue Him best.

Right now we are in the Church age or the age of grace.

  • Our picks

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
