She was sworn in to Congress as Indian- American so at that time she did not use the African-American card now she does

hi..  I hope it is ok to ask.. but I was quite puzzled about this statement?

I looked up news articles online.. for around the time she was running for senator or had just been elected /sworn in..  and there were many american news media articles back then which refered to her as 'black' or 'african american'... or they mentioned about her having both Indian and Jamaican descent /etc..  or both..

For example:

https://www.nbcnews.com/storyline/2016-election-day/meet-kamala-harris-second-black-woman-elected-u-s-senate-n680726

https://www.cbsnews.com/sanfrancisco/news/california-ag-kamala-harris-wins-battle-to-replace-retiring-senator-boxer/

https://www.nytimes.com/2016/05/29/magazine/kamala-harris-a-top-cop-in-the-era-of-black-lives-matter.html

These are just a few of the many articles I found from back then mentioning her ethnicities /heritage.

So it was well known that she had both ethnicities?

She is both.

When someone has parents who are of different ethnicities.. they inherit both ethnicities /heritages.  It isn't an either this ethnicity or that ethnicity .. it is both........

(except perhaps in countries where a child of mixed ethnicity is legally considered as being of the ethnicity /citizenship of one particular parent only.. often the father.    However as far as I know the Usa grants equal rights to both parents for these matters.)

Just some thoughts thats all.  (As someone from a country which has many different ethnicities and cultures)

Truly no offence intended to anyone.

Thank you.

Well "Little Rocket Man"  is still in power, has doubled down on his own bets, lobs missiles, provides physical manpower for Russia at Ukraine and makes arms ammunition for them. Plus provides the conscript manpower for Poland's shipyards, and other European shipyards to some extent.

All Trump managed to do is convince the troika of China, Russia, and North Korea, to work closer together as formal allies and also  gain stronger support from Hungary, and possibly even India and Pakistan. They have formal diplomatic relations with 164 countries. The USA not being one of them.

Well, you can't do much when you are no longer president.

I understand.  Everyone knows that.  HE knows that.  Why the pretense that he doesn't?

I listened to that video several times and one should take a lot into consideration.

1. they invited him under false pretences, since he was told that Kamala would be there.

2. He flew there and has other things planned when that is over but they were late starting because of not being set up properly.

3.He could not hear the other two people because of the audio equipment

4 The ABC person started of with a very ugly accusing tone in her voice and added several insults before she got to her question.

5.  When it came time for him to discuss her blackness, he simply referred  to her past as being an Indian (when  she was in the senate)  He was saying he didn't know she was black until much later.

BTW, she is not an African-American, she is Indian-Jamaican.   I don't know if her mother and father were mixed or all black.

So I really don't know how black she really is, and neither did President Trump.

BTW that whole interview was a setup, and the reactions of the audience there from what I could hear was not against what most things the president was saying.

When you are falsely invited to a skunk interview, you have to stand up for yourself or you may never get all the stink off.

This is probably un-Pc or un-woke or sumptin, but how much black does a person need to have in them before identifying as black?

For instance, I have 1/16 Cherokee in me - can I ID as native American?

He's making a joke of her playing her own race card.

Absolutely!!! That is much more than Senator Elizabeth Warren's percentage.

She is both.  Her mother is from the southern part of India in Asia and her father was born Jamaican which is of Afro-Carribean descent.

Yeah, I just always wondered how that worked.  Because I see a lot of really light-skinned black people who appear to be maybe only 1/4 black or less, but they seem to fully ID as black.

Any way, I better cool it as I'm sure the PC cops will come a knockin real soon!

(BTW - I had a very close black friend as a teenager, who's skin was quite dark.  However, he really IDed as being culturally white, hated "soul music" etc.  Not sure why I mention this, but it seemed to have some relevance . . .)

For obama it was half.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
