Here's another. Did Neanderthals come from Adam and Eve or their offspring?

Neanderthals, and denisovans for that matter, are not that different than us. They have physical differences but so do humans of today. (Look at the masaai and bushmen as examples of how different humans can be). I dont believe that they are seperate species any more than the vast differences among people today make them different species. Neanderthal and denisovan dna is present in modern people. I have neanderthal traits, and my husband has denisovan traits.

Ok then Genesis 1 is inaccurate.

you'll need to be more specific as I believe 100% the accuracy of Scripture!

In addition to some previous posts, there is no sense of the passage of time. People back then generally lived to be 800-969 years old. How old was Cain when he slew his brother Abel? Evidently, there was the passage of time and population for Cain to fear retribution for murdering a relative; hence, Cain was marked.

Perhaps the first city, Enoch, was akin to New York City and other liberal cities: a sanctuary city, a safe haven for criminals and illegal activities.

Genesis 4:23-24 (KJV) And Lamech said unto his wives, Adah and Zillah, Hear my voice; ye wives of Lamech, hearken unto my speech: for I have slain a man to my wounding, and a young man to my hurt. 24 If Cain shall be avenged sevenfold, truly Lamech seventy and sevenfold.

From the original two progenitors, in only a few centuries, the replenishing (KJV) fill the earth (most other translations) would have exploded to the hundreds of thousands. There was no command against incense then, and they married blood relatives. Because of sin, DNA and the creation slowly groaned over time, not instantly as we observe today.

The spreading out, or migration, would have been slowed down by building cities. Cain built the first city, naming it after one of his sons, Enoch.

Someone mentioned that science agrees with two original progenitors via DNA mapping, and so do I. But they claim the progenitors are Mr. Starey Dust and Mrs. Pond O. Scum. Today, that false theory is evolving into panspermia, where an advanced civilization seeded life in the universe, hoping that life would evolve somewhere.

I am sure everyone has heard Lilith's fable.

Many have difficulty accepting doctrinal changes to what they were taught since Sunday School, no matter what the scriptures say. We were all taught, erroneously, that Adam and Eve were the first but that is CLEARLY not the case based on the scriptures. Nevertheless, what most people learned in Sunday School trumps anything the Bible says.

This is a bit of a tangent, but I agree with you in that people have difficulty accepting what's different from what they were taught. I grew up in a house that was strongly of pretrib rapture and eternal conscious torment persuasion. When I found out there were other prominent beliefs on those and other matters it was really shocking to me.

It can definitely put people in an uncomfortable place. Consequently I tend to not push too hard when it comes to things Paul might call "debatable matters" as in Romans 14. Otherwise it gets too divisive over the little things. Certain beliefs becoming so deeply ingrained in people is a double edged sword. It can keep people on solid ground with the essentials as much as it divides on other matters.

That's a great point.

So who were the humans that God created in Genesis 1?

I believe the way the Bible is written there are times where whatever subject we are reading is repeated in the next chapter or series of verses in a slightly different perspective or wording. A good example of this is Revelation 13 and 17. They speak of the same event in a slightly different way, separated by 3 chapters. Same thing in Daniel 9 and 11. Same event, similar language, different chapters.

It appears that the same pattern is true with our subject:

Genesis 1:26-27 KJV

And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

[27] So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

[31] And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

(So man is a sixth day creation of God.)

(And then):

Genesis 2:2 KJV

And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.

( 5 verses later):

Genesis 2:7 KJV

And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

(So when and where did this come from? It would appear as if God is doing something completely different than His sixth day creation. But look at v.2-4 together):

Genesis 2:2-4 KJV

And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. [3] And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

[4] These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens,

( I believe that everything we read from Genesis 1:1 to 2:3 is the record of when everything is created, and from that point on we get a different perspective focusing on the man He created in 1:27, made in His image, Adam.

Hope I explained it well enough.

Genesis 4:14-16

14 Behold, you have driven me today away from the ground, and from your face I shall be hidden. I shall be a fugitive and a wanderer on the earth, and whoever finds me will kill me.” 15 Then the Lord said to him, “Not so! If anyone kills Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold.” And the Lord put a mark on Cain, lest any who found him should attack him. 16 Then Cain went away from the presence of the Lord and settled in the land of Nod,[f] east of Eden.

Cain killed Abel. Only Cain and his parents remained. So who are the others to whom Cain and God referenced? It seems that they were other people.

Enter Melchizedek? I'm just kidding, kind of

Some would say Neanderthals came from a pre-Adamic race that were part of a prior creation on earth between Genesis 1:1 & 1:2. (but God destroyed them & then made Adam and Eve)

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
