I had fallen asleep on my couch in the loungeroom at home in Australia and was just waking up. I had my Television set as a morning alarm. When I first opened my eyes, I thought I was viewing a movie. I was wrong. I dont think Ill ever forget that morning. Nothing grieved me more however than the sight of those people jumping out of the buildings. How horrifying must it have been in those buildings for them to see jumping as a better option.

Makes me wonder how horrible Hell would be..Only there's no jumping out of Hell..

Regards,

Ben.

I was at home, it was my day off, I'd slept in and the first tower was hit before I knew what had happened. I saw stuff on the news about the wtc and thought it was a rehash of the first attack about ten yr before. Then the second plane hit and I saw the live footage.

I always watched the Today show at that time . I was doing laundry that morning with the T.V on . I walked through the living room on my way to my daughters roomto get her clothes and saw the first tower burning and also thought it was an ad for a movie. when I came back through I heard it was a plane in the wtc. They were still thinking at that time that it was an accident.I sat down on the couch to watch and saw the second plane hit the other tower.I hardly moved off my couch the rest of the day, just sat there watched and prayed.

I was at home in the living room as I hadn't been up that long and it was my birthday and I was thinking about how I was another year older and what I was going to do that day. then I turned on the tv and seen on the TV news what had happened and it was so terrible to take it all in. And my birthday will never be the same again as I will be forever reminded of 9/11 it was really horrible and heart wrenching and we shouldn't forget.

I was introducing my oldest son to the administration of the new school he would be attending, getting him enrolled and started...

my cousins husband was getting ready for a meeting in one of the towers (not sure which one, for the meeting was cancelled) ( they live about a block off Time Square)

a retailer here in town that i do a good amount of business with, was wondering about her son, which we found out later, he was on his way out of the first tower as the plane hit..... they took refuge down the street a ways and watched in disbelief....

there are others with in my life that were directly effected.

I can remember what I was doing when JFK was shot also,

I was on the living room floor, playing with Lincoln Logs when the neighbor ran to the door saying we needed to turn on the TV... that the President had been shot... and then another arrived saying that a mass was already being set up at that very moment... (at FairChild AFB)....

I was at work in DC. As the Pentagon got hit we were all asked to go home. It took me 2 hours to get out of DC as downtown was in a gridlock. It was impossible to use my cell to contact my kids. I was shocked at what just happened and as I was looking at other people's faces in the streets and in the other cars, it felt weird to know that we were all thinking and feeling the same thing. It felt like, for that particular moment, we were closer to each other than we ever have been and will be, until the next "attack" on the US. :whistling:

I was all alone that day, and that week.

It was a hard time for me. I was still recovering from PTSD and my husband was up north with his mom, who was dying of cancer. I was very distressed inside to begin with. Then my husband called and woke me up to tell me to put on the tv. He couldnt say why. I watched the second tower fall. I spent the rest of that day and week glued to the tv, singing, crying, and no one to talk to. Hubby couldnt talk, he was spending his own personal nightmare watching his mother die. My friends and family had locked themselves away too. The pain of that day still aches.

i had just dropped my oldest daughter off at school, and had a little time before dropping my youngest daughter off at her school, when i heard the news about the plane hitting the first tower. i went inside and turned on the tv and told my youngest she'd have to catch the bus instead of me taking her. i was glued to the set. i can't remember if i turned it on in time to see the second plane hit the second tower, or if i was watching the re-play. but i was sitting right there in my living room in front of the television when each of the towers fell.

I was at home. I had had a very uneasy feeling all week long, so did mom. We had called family to check on them, just to make sure all was well... But still had a lingering feeling that something was amiss. That night I tossed and turned, I could not sleep, I gave up trying and went downstairs to put on the news... The TV was on for just a few minutes, when the first report of a 'plane accident' was announced. I remember thinking that was no accident. I wanted to more than the news was showing, so I tried to think of a live show from NY... The only one I could think of believe it or not was Howard Stern [co-workers listened to him regularly --- yuck], I tuned in to his radio show and sure enough, they were on and doing interveiws with people who ran from the buildings, with family and so on. Actually his real time reporting was unexpectedly good. So, we had both the radio and TV on as I got ready for a doctors appointment that morning. The TV was on at the doctors office as well, but no one seemed to be affected by it, no emotion, no response to it at all, it may as well have been a re-run of the Golden Girls.... I felt all alone in a crowd.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
