That does not too sound bad. I used to grow rutabagas to keep the wolverines away when I lived near Los Angeles. All those years I never saw a wolverine, so it must have worked!5 points

So I noticed something tonight. Im in a hotel since my husband is working out of town. I got in the elevator and saw a sign: "A copy of the elevator inspection is available in the manager's office." So I think I bet no one has ever asked to see it. Now I want to. Just because. I may have issues.3 points

1 John 5:19 reminds us that “the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one,” which of course is Satan. We should NOT “put our trust in princes, nor in a son of man, who cannot bring salvation” (Psalm 146:3). To believe that the wicked governments of today can bring about anything good is folly, for our salvation belongs in our trust in God and in his promises. Flee from an earthly solution and instead, rely on a godly solution!2 points

So do I, it is almost 5PM here, and I have not had breakfast yet, dinner is on my mind, but while pizza is one candidate, so is Chinese food! How blessed I am to have such hard decisions in life!2 points

Our culture, in many ways, is a culture of death. Skulls on jackets, mud flaps, ear rings and everywhere it seems - I'm always a little astonished by it all! But, as a brother I know once said, "They're just lost!" But to be religious saves no one. So as to the question of how much to participate? My wife and I do the absolute minimal, and try not to make a big fuss about it. Just another day in the current worldly culture . . . everyone still needs "The Resurrection and the Life" (Jesus)!2 points

Monday 10-31-22 2nd. Day Of The Weekly Cycle, Cheshvan 4, 5783 40th. Fall Day Opportunities to Shine Read: Matthew 5:13–16 | Bible in a Year: Jeremiah 22–23; Titus 1 Download MP3 Subscribe to iTunes Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:16 In March 2020, while walking his dog in New York City’s Central Park, Whitney, a retired financial expert, saw trucks, stacks of tarps, and white tents, each bearing a cross and the name of a charity he’d never heard of before. When he discovered the group was building a field hospital for his fellow New Yorkers with COVID-19, he asked if he could help. For weeks, despite differing faiths and politics, he and his family pitched in wherever they could. Whitney stated, “Every single person I’ve met has been a genuinely nice person.” And he applauded the fact that no one was paying them to “help my city in our hour of deep, deep need.” In response to the tremendous needs resulting from the coronavirus pandemic, unlikely partners in service were brought together, and believers in Jesus were given new opportunities to share Christ’s light with others. In His Sermon on the Mount, Jesus taught His followers to “let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds” (Matthew 5:16). We shine Christ’s light by letting the Spirit guide us in loving, kind, and good words and actions (see Galatians 5:22–23). When we allow the light we’ve received from Jesus to shine clearly in our daily lives, we also “glorify [our] Father in heaven” (Matthew 5:16). This day and every day may we shine for Christ, as He helps us be salt and light in a world that desperately needs Him. Where do you see an opportunity to share hope and light with others today? When has someone been light to you in a difficult time? Jesus, help me to shine Your light in all I say and do. INSIGHT The New Testament uses various metaphors to describe the responsibilities of believers in Jesus. For example, Paul says that as good soldiers of Christ, we’re to endure suffering and to “please [our] commanding officer” (2 Timothy 2:3–5). As athletes, we undergo strict training to compete according to the rules (1 Corinthians 9:25). In Matthew 5:13–16, Jesus used two everyday items—salt and a lamp—to illustrate the impact we can have on the society we live in. Salt is a preservative, a flavor enhancer, and a thirst stimulant. We’re to bring the salt of preservation and joy to a bland, tasteless, and otherwise decaying world. A lamp gives light that enables people to see and to give direction. The lamp must necessarily be placed in a conspicuous position for the light to be effective. We’re to be the light of salvation to a world darkened by sin. By Alyson Kieda |October 31st, 2022 Living For Christ Matthew Five:13-16 13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. 14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. 15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Im puzzled. You think a "marxist plan of free healthcare, free eduacation or free incentives offered by the state" is a good ambition for a Christian? You think "something borderline controversial such as argentina legislating gay marriage with an 80% roman catholic population demographic as occurred in years past" is something God would approve of? A grand ambition should be to spread the gospel. That is what we are told to do.2 points

We were visiting a Christian couple on the other side of town, and it was mentioned that one of their neighbors was doing a Bible study on the book of Revelation. I asked the brother if he participated and he said "no" because Revelation was too scary. I replied that I thought it was a wonderful book of God's love! At that, he looked at me a little puzzled. I told him that while there are many judgements depicted in the book, these judgements were on the kingdom of darkness and sin. It is the Great Physician lovingly and mercifully eradicating the cancer of sin from mankind, so we no longer have to put up with the current cesspool of strife, sin, death, etc. He said he'd not looked at it that way. I too once thought the book was dark and just too mysterious. I liked the last couple of chapters, depicting the new heavens and earth, but everything else was too much. But God showed me that His primary motivator toward us is love, so therefore it couldn't be any different with the book of Revelation! With this in mind, the group I'm with is going through this wonderful book again, and we're seeing how much His love is evident - beyond amazing and wonderful things in store for those who are in the kingdom of the Son of His love; and Judgements toward the kingdom of darkness which oppresses mankind. We war not with flesh and blood. (but most unfortunately there are some people who will still not repent) The bottom line with everything He does: HE LOVES US!!!1 point

The bema was that, but also was the elevated position from which someone judged the Olympic Games. In that position they could clearly see who won and who should get the award, and they could also spot anything that might disqualify a contestant. I think that this is what Paul was referring to, as he made reference to the games when discussing Christians' life and work (e.g., running the race or not beating the air). Paul also said that after running he might be disqualified. (1 Cor 9:27) This wasn't a loss of salvation, but of possibly loosing a reward due to not running properly. So, personally, I like to think of the bema seat in that way - as a contest judge who approves the contestant's reward (or the loss of reward).1 point

Christians actually do have a blueprint to make the world a better place, which is found in the scriptures. When Jesus left this world, He left it in the hands of men whom He had modeled how life is to be lived. He said “I do only those things I see the Father do.” In living in obedience to the Father in all things, we contribute on our part (however small that part may be) to making the world a better place. But more specifically, Jesus commanded the disciples to go into all the world and make disciples. They were to teach the world all things that He had taught them. This is what really effects change, and more to the point, transformation. This is in my estimation the blueprint for making the world a place that God would approve of. The only way the world has a chance to change, is for the churches to capture a vision of creating a discipleship culture that multiplies disciples that emulate Christ who disciple others to do the same. Our human efforts without the power of “God working in us to will, and to do of His good pleasure,” will be fruitless. Jesus taught that “without me you can do nothing.” The world is the way it is today, because it has basically been run by humans, and we have made a mess out of it. The only thing we can do that will be pleasing to God, is to bring something into the world that will transform it, and that is the Gospel. This is my thoughts of the issue. Have a nice day. I see our main job as to be salt and light in a world growing darker by the minute. The world is not on an improvement trajectory. The bible teaches us the world is on a self destructive trajectory. We are being told to minister to the lost and to look at this world as a place where we only temporarily reside. Much like Noah was making plans to exit an impending disaster, this is where we are. It's getting worse and worse. The labor pains are closer and closer. This isn't to say we sell all of our stuff and move onto a mountain somewhere awaiting our rescue, we are to be busy until the Lord returns doing those things He would have us do. The busy purpose driven person is not the worrying depressed person. Find your calling and pursue it. The Christian goes through the loss of this world and it's current state of affairs on to the new heaven and the new earth to be with the Lord. Right now we are at the "going through stage" that is only beginning. One day we will be through it, praise God!1 point

And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season. - Revelation 20:1-3 (KJV) Hi, John. This is my understanding about what happens during the millennium after Satan loses the battles of Armageddon and Hamon-Gog and is bound for 1,000 years. The 1000-year period known as the Millennium comes before the Great White Throne Judgment. First of all, there are no second chances, but throughout this time of teaching, those who have never been taught will learn the truth of God's Word. Many people today have either had no education at all or have received false doctrine. They don’t know the truth of God's Word; but throughout the Millennium, every one of these people will have the chance to discover the truth and make their own decisions about whether to follow God or Satan. Since Satan will be let loose for a little while at the end of the millennium, everyone will have the opportunity of choosing God or not. Those who choose God will go through the second resurrection. Those who don’t by the end of this 1,000-year period will perish at the second death. -Selah1 point

For grins, here is what prior voting for the pizza gave us: So let's see, from that we can see that no one voted for a single topping pizza. For two topping pizzas, we have: Pepperoni & Mushroom 2 times For three topping pizzas, we have: Pepperoni, Mushrooms and Peppers 1 time Pepperoni, Bacon & Green Peppers 1 time Mushrooms, Onions, & Bacon 1 time Mushrooms, Onions, & Green Peppers 1 time Mushrooms, Onions, & Sausage 1 time Mushrooms, Mushroom, Bacon & Green Peppers 1 time Pepperoni, Bacon & Sausage 2 times Pepperoni, Onions, & Sausage 2 times I think that represents all the combinations of one, two and three topping pizzas voted for, I you see an error there, please let me know. That left me with a problem though, the most voted for pizzas, have only two votes each! That is why I pushed so hard trying to get more interested in voting, but I am not good at marketing, so only 12 people voted. Anyway. that is how we got to where we find ourselves now!1 point

I see your beliefs as confused and unscriptural. Because of those wrong beliefs, you have been blinded to the truths of what God has planned for His people. Isaiah 29:9-12 and Matthew 11L25, say God will hide His Plans from those who promote ideas that are not Biblical. The best advice for people like yourself, is to be ready for anything and to stand firm in your faith, whatever happens.1 point

To further show the contrast between the common 'fun' Halloween activities and the other there's this. As you can see, this covers a lot more than just Halloween. The purpose of ritual is to call forth demons, and the things done, which are terrible to speak of beyond belief are done all over. The Satanic Ritual Abuse victims who come forth as a result are a testament to the reach this has. Of those who come forth for counseling or help, many more never made it or are still bound by the techniques used to hold them. The antennae are probably up more to those who are aware of it more around Halloween, but it happens all through the year.1 point

Monday 10-31-22 2nd. Day Of The Weekly Cycle, Cheshvan 4, 5783 40th. Fall Day Philippians Two:1-16 Paul's Exhortation To Humility 1 If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies, 2 Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. 3 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. 4 Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. Christ's Example Of Humility 5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: 8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. 9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. 12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. 13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. 14 Do all things without murmurings and disputings: 15 That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; 16 Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain. God would approve of studying His Word. Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. - 2 Timothy 2:15 (KJV) @Space_Karen Hey, Karen. . . Do you not know that, by far, these days are the most exciting "Bible Times" in the history of mankind? I believe we are currently living in the "time of the end" that the prophet Daniel spoke about in 12:4, a time when "knowledge shall be increased" and the seals that are written about in the 6th chapter of Revelation would be opened and made clear by Jesus Christ to "the wise," which are those of us who diligently study His Word and hear His voice (Rev. 6). Why must we understand what those seals tell us? Because they contain the knowledge we need concerning the events of this final generation we’re living in today so that we will not be deceived. So let’s press on, Karen, for such a time as this. We’ve got a job to do! -Selah1 point

Paul speaks out against it in the New Testament. As for grand plans I feel like God is wrapping things up and we're moving toward the Tribulation. The world's culture is moving away from Christianity so any world affecting grand plans are going to be few and far between. That's pretty grand as an ambition to me but for now he's just scraping by trying to survive with the kids.1 point

No. There is absolutely nothing about Halloween that can be redeemed. For me it is a period of spiritual darkness and depravity. If my husband wasn't a nonbeliever who thought it was just a bit of fun, my kids would have zero to do with it. Zero. As it stands, I have had to compomise. I told my husband if he wants the kids to celebrate it, I will not partake. My children had to dress up for school last week and my son went as a soccer player and my daughter went as a princess, and even that felt heavy for me to do. No Christian should partake of anything to do with Halloween. On the contrary, we should spend this time in deeper prayer and fasting, praying against the principalities. Halloween is the tine of year when Satanic Ritual Abuse is at its highest. How anyone can have a light-hearted attitude towards this period knowing the evil that will be done to innocent people, especially children, is beyond me. Halloween should be spent in solemn prayer against the forces of wickedness. No Christian should be dining at the table of demons.1 point

The following is a parable. A certain man traveled to Jerusalem. He decided to have a feast to honor Israelites. He paid an exorbitant sum for food and drink. But he chose Hitler's birthday as the date. Certain of Israel asked him, does it not seem paradoxical that we celebrate on the day of one our greatest persecutors birthday. The man answered; "never mind". It is Hitler's day but we will call it something else. The following s not a parable. God delivered 2 million Israelites from the power of Egyptian tyranny with a strong arm. A few weeks later, these 2 million people commissioned a man of stature to cast a golden calf. This calf they honored with the following words; 4 ... and they said, These be thy gods, O Israel, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt. 5 And when Aaron saw it, he built an altar before it; and Aaron made proclamation, and said, To morrow is a feast to the LORD. 6 And they rose up early on the morrow, and offered burnt offerings, and brought peace offerings; and the people sat down to eat and to drink, and rose up to play. (Ex 32:4–6) Did Israel not honor god with gold? Did not Israel gibe their precious gold to honor God? Did they not honor God by declaring that the calf represented Him? Did they not offer burnt offerings to Jehovah? Did the people not enjoy the feasting? After all, the wilderness is dreary and God would surely give some respite? God's reaction was to rear up and plan to kill 2 million people. Moses interceded, but God promised later retribution. "Hallowed Eve"? The evening during which the spirits of dead people, who have paid for their OWN sins in purgatory, are released to go to heaven. Demons will try to stop them, so be a demon to fight demons. Dress up! One easy step to dishonor our Great God. Just be thankful that God will give short period of waiting to the Bema and not kill you right now! We are Christ's future Bride. Who is the virgin who so easily sells her virginity? 1st Corinthians 10:1-11 says that Israel and the Church walk the same path and that Israel is an example that WE SHOULD NOT FOLLOW. Their sin??? They went a whoring after idols.1 point

Interesting: #TWTramm THE BIBLICAL MONTH of Cheshvan begins October 26. Here are eight reasons Cheshvan is prophetic of the End of the Age: 1. Cheshvan is the eighth month. In the Bible, the number eight signifies an escape from judgment, resurrection, and a new beginning (Gen. 7:7; Matt. 28:1). 2. Cheshvan marks the beginning of the autumn rains in Israel. The autumn rains are associated with the coming of the Lord (Hos. 6:3). 3. Cheshvan is when the First Temple was completed (1 Kings 6:38). The Temple is a picture of the Church, or Body of Christ (1 Cor. 3:16). 4. Since Cheshvan is the only month with no holidays or special observances, the rabbis teach that it is reserved for the time of Messiah, who will inaugurate the Third Temple in this month. 5. In Jewish mysticism, Cheshvan is linked to the letter nun. The numeric value of the letter nun is 50, the number of Jubilee. 6. Cheshvan is when the Sun transitions into the Constellation Libra, whose ‘scales of justice’ denote judgment. 7. Cheshvan is when Noah’s Flood began and ended (Gen. 7–8). This is significant because, speaking of the time of His return, Jesus says it will be “like the days of Noah” (Matt. 24:37–39). 8. Cheshvan, the month of Noah’s Flood, marked the beginning of what is called the Dispensation of Human Government. It is thus conceivable that the Dispensation of God’s Government—the Day of the Lord—could begin in Cheshvan. With the above correlations in view, here are four reasons Cheshvan 2022 is especially noteworthy: 1. According to the UN, this November (Cheshvan) will see the world population reach eight billion for the first time. As noted earlier, the number eight signifies an escape from judgment, resurrection, and a new beginning. 2. Cheshvan 2022 marks the 77th year, or 11th Sabbatical cycle, since the UN Organization was established for the purpose of maintaining international “peace and security” (1 Thess. 5:3). Seeing that the number 11 signifies the rebellion and judgment of human government in Scripture, it is uncanny that the world’s chief intergovernmental organization was founded on October 24, 1945, corresponding to the biblical anniversary of Noah’s Flood: Cheshvan 17. 3. Hours before Cheshvan 2022 begins, a solar eclipse will darken parts of Russia, Europe, and the Middle East. Two weeks later, on Cheshvan 14, a total lunar eclipse, or blood moon, will ascend the evening skies above Russia, China, the Pacific, and Western US. In the Bible, a darkened sun and blood-red moon are signs of the impending Day of the Lord (Joel 2:31). 4. Cheshvan 2022 occurs at a time of prophetic convergence. The first part of the convergence relates to timelines (click on the link below for a summary): https://storage.googleapis.com/wzukusers/user-35306783/documents/fe46f9ab4bd546c8bdc937ed420639ba/Timeline Convergence - Why 2022 Could See Major Biblical Events rev b.pdf The second part of the convergence relates to the current state of affairs. As Cheshvan 2022 begins, we are seeing: • A rising threat of nuclear war. • A perfect financial storm of debt, bubbles, inflation, and market volatility. • Poor harvests and crop failures worldwide. Furthermore, a global fertilizer shortage portends an even bleaker harvest in 2023. • A burgeoning energy crisis as Russia and OPEC squeeze supplies. • Growing social unrest and instability in the East. • A leadership crisis in the West. In the US, the world’s ‘policeman,’ or guardian, nation, we are witnessing: • The draining of the Strategic Petroleum Reserve. • A depletion of weapons stockpiles due to the war in Ukraine. • A continuation of the worst megadrought in 1,200 years. • A record number of poultry killed due to a bird flu outbreak. • Millions of undocumented immigrants flooding the southern border. • Police, fire, and emergency personnel shortages in cities coast-to-coast. • Soaring homelessness and crime rates. • The most extreme social and political polarization in modern times. And more. In view of the above, even secular analysts are warning that the current world order is one shock event away from a biblical collapse. But perhaps most telling of where we stand on the prophetic timeline is the fact that people are oblivious, just like in the days of Noah: “In the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man” (Matt. 24:38, 39). . . . NOTES: 1. Jesus was resurrected on the ‘eighth’ day, the day after the seventh-day Sabbath (Matt. 28:1). More on the number eight in Scripture: https://www.biblestudy.org/bibleref/meaning-of-numbers-in-bible/8.html https://levendwater.org/books/numbers/number_in_scripture_bullinger.pdf 2. Following seven years of construction, Solomon’s Temple was completed in Cheshvan. However, the Temple was not inaugurated until the following Tishrei. 3. The seven Dispensations in Scripture: https://www.gotquestions.org/seven-dispensations.html 4. Noah and family entered the Ark on Cheshvan 17. On that day, the springs of the great deep burst forth and the floodgates of the heavens were opened (Gen. 7:11–13). Seven days later, the floodwaters were upon the earth (v. 10). Noah disembarked the Ark a year later in Cheshvan. 5. However, a convergence of biblical signs and timelines suggests it is near. To escape the judgment reserved for a God-rejecting world, one must be in a saving relationship with Jesus Christ. If you have not yet done so, call on His name and believe that He is the Son of God who died for your sins and was raised from the dead (Rom. 10:13). Do it today. Time is running out.1 point
