  1. Hi VA, Just another thought I had. When we say `words,` people can think - `a, it, is, but, however, the, this, etc.` They are words but that is not what Jesus is referring to. The `words` that God speaks are truth, and we interpret those in our language using our alphabet. Jesus is God`s `alphabet,` and we see God`s truth in Him. Jesus even said `I am the Alpha and Omega,` the two ends of the Hebrew alphabet. Thus, every part in between. His Omniscience – “I am the Alpha & Omega,” Christ is the whole alphabet, from whom the entire vocabulary for expressing revealed truth is derived. All the treasures of wisdom & knowledge are in Him. (Col.2:3) There is no such thing as knowledge before Him & there cannot be any beyond Him. Christ, as the Alpha & Omega, is the only way to spiritual secrets, (Rev.2:17) He is the key to unlock the treasures of truth, Himself the interpreter of the invisible, (Rev. 3: 7) & the Door of entrance to eternal enjoyment. (Ps. 16:11 John 10:9)

  4. Spoken through Jeremiah: 15:16, (ESV), Your words were found, and I ate them, and your words became to me a joy and the delight of my heart, for I am called by your name, O LORD, God of hosts. One that incorporates His words into their very being lives the words that are spirit, and it's obvious to those which interact with the believer. There are certain aspects of a person's behavior that clearly announce to others that, here is a Christian.

  5. Ex 24:9-11 Then went up Moses, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel: And they saw the God of Israel: and there was under his feet as it were a paved work of a sapphire stone, and as it were the body of heaven in his clearness. And upon the nobles of the children of Israel he laid not his hand: also they saw God, and did eat and drink. KJV John 6:44-46 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me. Not that any man hath seen the Father, save he which is of God, he hath seen the Father. KJV ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~ Moses and friends saw the God of Israel and were not harmed. Jesus says that no man has seen the father except He that came from Him. So it seems to me that the Father that Jesus speaks of is not what that the Nation of Israel interfaced with in the Old Testament. Looking further: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ John 1:1-10 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. KJV John 8:52-58 Then said the Jews unto him, Now we know that thou hast a devil. Abraham is dead, and the prophets; and thou sayest, If a man keep my saying, he shall never taste of death. Art thou greater than our father Abraham, which is dead? and the prophets are dead: whom makest thou thyself? Jesus answered, If I honour myself, my honour is nothing: it is my Father that honoureth me; of whom ye say, that he is your God: Yet ye have not known him; but I know him: and if I should say, I know him not, I shall be a liar like unto you: but I know him, and keep his saying. Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad. Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham? Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am. KJV ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ It seems to me to be saying that Jesus was what the Nation of Israel interfaced with in the Old Testament days. Jesus in this form was with the Father from the beginning. It seems to me that the people of the Old Testament days were not aware of the Father except for what they saw through the Jesus in the form he existed in before he became flesh. Further: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Phil 2:5-11Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. KJV ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ It appears to me that Jesus as the word was that which the Father worked through to manifest Himself to the people of the Old Testament times. Jesus did not regard himself to want to be the equal to the Father so He took the form of a human to further the works of the Father on earth. Jesus was deity by being in the form of God, but it was the Father that did the work through Him when he was the Word. It appears that the only thing that has changed is Jesus is now flesh working the same way only as a man. The Father exercises His will through Jesus, now in the fleshly body. `~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ John 14:10-11 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake. KJV John 17:20-26 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me. Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world. O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me. And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them. KJV ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ It seems to me that Jesus just extended the conduit from Him to us for the Father to do His work through Jesus to us so we could know the Father as the Father knows us. Thus we now can do the work of the Father. I believe this is the path and workings of the Holy Spirit ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~` 1 Cor 15:20-28 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming. Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death. For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith, all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him. And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all. KJV ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Jesus, before His ascension told the Apostles that all power and authority had been given to Him. After he has subdued everything Jesus will also be subjected to the One who subjected all things to Him........ The Father. I don't see the Son always being equal with the Father, either when He was the word nor in the flesh. He will also be subject to the Father after He does the job of bringing the kingdom into it's full power over all and giving it to the Father. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 1 Cor 8:4-6 As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is none other God but one. For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,) But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him. KJV ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Interestingly, all three are one in thought, one in purpose, and one in action. We can't interface with the Father without being indwelt by the Holy Spirit, and we can't have the Holy Spirit without the sacrifice and request of Jesus, and we couldn't have had Jesus without the Father asking Him to do what he has done for us. You have to have all three or none. And thus they are one.

  9. It is a theological term about the nature of God. Theology = the study of God. Just like eschatology is the study about predictive prophecy in the Bible. Eschatology, Trinity, theology do not appear in scripture. God the Word with God in the beginning (John 1:1–2) With the Father in the beginning (1 John 1:1–2) With the Spirit of God in the beginning (Genesis 1:1–2) 1 + 1 + 1 = 3 Individuals who are God The Bible teaches there is only one God Conclusion the ONE GOD is triune in nature: a singular compound. Unity of plurality. Though we are not three persons, each human being is a tripartite (singular compound / unity of plurality) in that we are body, soul, and spirit (1 Thessalonians 5:23) yet only one human being. The difference with God is that what makes up the one God are three divine individual persons. If you can accept as fact that there are three spatial dimensions in the universe… that human beings are body, soul, spirit… that one family consists of more than one person… you should have no difficulty accepting the triune nature of the one God.

  10. There is a notion that we are to extend the kingdom of God. Is this true? Psalm 24 tells us – `The earth is the Lord`s and all its fullness, the world and those who dwell therein.` (Ps. 24: 1) So, it seems to me that God created everything and everyone and did not give it away. So, then, what did Satan offer Jesus? `Again the devil took Him up on an exceedingly high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. And he said to Him, “All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me. Then Jesus said to him, “Away with you Satan! For it is written, `You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.`” (Matt. 4: 8 – 10) Hope you enjoy a challenge to think a bit deeper.

  11. Etymology is interesting if like me you are curious about where words come from. The word “etymology” comes from the Greek word “etymologia,” which means “analysis of a word to find its true origin” 1. The word “etymon” means “true sense, original meaning” 1. The suffix “-logy” means “study of” 1. Therefore, “etymology” means “the study of the true sense or origin of a word” 1. [BingChat] I was looking for a 9 letter word beginning with "M" and "martially" was an option. I knew the meaning and usage of it but not the origin, until now. The word “martial” comes from the Latin word “martialis,” which means “of Mars or war” 1. Mars was the Roman god of war and one of the patron gods of Rome 2. The word “martial” was first used in the late 14th century to describe something that is “warlike” or “related to war” 1. It is also used to describe things that are “connected with military organizations” 1. The term “court-martial” is an example of this usage 1. [BingChat] Add to this thread if you wish . . . I will later.

And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha. (2 Kings 6:17) Chariot ~ 5324 מֶרְכָּבָה (měr·kā·ḇā(h)): n.fem.; ≡ Str 4818; TWOT 2163f—LN 6.52–6.53 chariot, i.e., a vehicle for war, travel, or ceremony[1] We cannot compare the above with Santa Claus’s flying sled and reindeer. It is a primitive descriptive for all ages and generations to understand the meaning. They had no aeronautical words to render, e.g., spacecraft, flying saucers, UAPs, etc. And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven. (2 Kings 2:11) Chariot ~ 8207 רֶכֶב (rě·ḵěḇ): n.masc.; ≡ Str 7393; TWOT 2163a 1. LN 6.52–6.53 chariot, i.e., a wheeled vehicle drawn by one or more horses, used for war or travel (1Sa 8:12). [2] Notice above the two different Hebrew words used for these chariots. Both are mobile vehicles and imply propulsion systems symbolized by horses. Whirlwind ~ Probably the effects of the propulsion. Have you ever witnessed commercial jets taxiing on wet pavement and seen the mini tornado (whirlwind) drawn into the engine as an illustration? This spiritual dimension is masked, just outside of our senses, but has physicality. But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia. (Daniel 10:13) I do not pretend to understand the spiritual with my finite mind. Everything from binding Satan with a great chain, casting him, and confining him to spiritual warfare seems to be a physical battle out of our eyesight. At times, radar and FLIR pickup these interdimensional craft millions are witnessing and videoing today, indicating a physicality. Are these UAPs secret military programs that defy the laws of physics? I highly doubt it, but where are they getting this gigantic leap in technology from? If humanity had this technology they would not be investing tens of billions of dollars in stealth technology, or primitive booster systems into space. It appears there is a plan and purpose for why all this is coming to light at this moment in history, and it reeks of an impending deception. So, we do not miss it; four times in Matthew chapter twenty-four for emphasis, Jesus warns us about the coming great deceptions. The condition of the world He spoke of mirrors the world in our generation. Panspermia has become a popular buzzword in the evolutionary DNA scientific community. For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. (Matthew 24:24) The above scripture is written in the plural and has never happened in history. So, this cannot be the singular Antichrist and False Prophet. Therefore, who could these numerous entities be, with such signs and wonders, that Christians would be deceived if it were possible? Who do we wrestle with? For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. (Ephesians 6:12) High places may be rank, altitude, or both. I submit it may be associated with ET's “phone home.” 😊 [1] Swanson, James. 1997. 21. Wimpy men sure. This mindset is what made everything expensive. Work work work. How can a wife not work and think it's fine that her man works 80 hours and he may never enjoy his kids ? Does she hate him or something? He wants time off to help his wife take care of the baby. She wants that too. The hard work is always for some rich boss anyway. In Holland when feminism came the women fought so they could work part time and bake cookies with the kids and now men want to work part time too. They also take care of their kids, cook and clean, but mostly the women work less. It is more equal though. Result: You don't have to have 3 jobs. A woman on this forum is a single mom in America. She asked for prayer. She works full time and has to take care of the kids alone and has 3 hours sleep a night. I live in Holland. I work 3 days a week. I take care of 3 teens. The days that I work they are with their dad. Life is chill here. More expensive now, so we buy groceries in Germany which is 25 percent cheaper.

  24. The study of the Torah does not make anyone an Orthodox Jew. There are eligibility criteria for someone to qualify as a Jew. And then there are criteria to qualify for an Orthodox Jew. And what kind of question is this to study the Torah as an Orthodox Jew to be a better person and have a closer personal relationship with God? This seems to be a very personal question soliciting something from a specific person. "do you study the Torah for this or that." Can you use a different approache and different words so anyone who reads the post can be eligible to reply to these questions. As it is, it seems that you are only seeking a reply from a specific person. Another kind of question would be. Why we study the Torah in general and why anyone would like to study the Torah? I study the Torah as a believer in Jesus Christ for many reasons. Also to be educated about the context in those books. Others they study the Torah because they are their religious sacred books. AMEN.

  28. I'm glad you answered like this. While everything you write is true, you supported @Vine Abider's point. God's Word IS for instruction, but instruction OUTSIDE of men does not help a fallen man. What man needed was WORDS that were EATEN. Israel were a privileged Nation. They were given the ORACLES of God, but outside of them the WORDS had no profit. Nicodemus illustrates this problem very well. He came to Jesus a "TEACHER". But our Lord's answer was "You need an INTERNAL change" and reminds Nicodemus of Israel with poison coursing in their veins. If the looked up at Him who was lifted up, the deadly contents IN them would be replaced by LIFE (Note; Israel were not healed by the Brazen Serpent. They "LIVED") It is not that God's Words are not useful when printed and read, but their main purpose and effect is when thy are SPOKEN. They become something LIVING when they are read out loud and can be even formulated into a prayer

  29. God's Word says that our Lord was tempted. If the offer of Satan was untrue, it would not have been a temptation and the Bible found to be untrue. If therefore, Satan has authority over them, and can offer them, then it is because God uses a structure of delegated authority. So, while you correctly state that God maintains ownership, GOVERNMENT is delegated. All military and political establishments use this system and God uses it in the family. There is such a hierarchy among angels for in context of respect for government, Michael, an angel, showed himself to be subordinate to Lucifer in Jude when fighting for Moses' body. In Genesis 1:26-28 man is to "subdue". This word implies a rebellion, or a situation of unlawfulness. In Daniel 2:44 there is a change of GOVERNMENT. Four consecutive Gentile governments WILL RULE In Revelation 11:15 the Kingdoms of this world have BECOME those of Christ. This word implies that thee were not originally So, while God maintains overall ownership, he joined Himself to the government by angels, then replaced their government with another creature which He joins to - man, and this creature cannot stop the Kingdoms being "delivered" to Satan. God, because He does not shrug off the restrictions He has by being joined to man, takes little longer to restore the earths government.

There is joy to be found most anywhere if one has an attitude that they are going to be joyous in all that they do for they are going to do so in worship of God. One can make a ton of rules, but life is closer to what Curly depicted it to be in the movie City Slickers "One thing" ..."And finding it what it is is up to you." Actually finding it is really discovering what has been there all along but is revealed personally by the Holy Spirit, whereas before it was not seen.

  32. The discussion is about what is being taught currently by evolutionists, not Darwin. One doesn't have to reject the Bible to be a biologist. Biology doesn't require mindless adherence to "molecules-to-man." One of us posts entire passages from the Bible and one posts excepts taken out of context. The readers know which is dishonest. I have never posted a revision of the Word. Day six is still the beginning of the world. That's why it's called the creation week. Do you want to tell more lies about what Jesus taught? So, from all this we conclude that the construction “dying you shall die” and beyôm in Genesis 2:17 do not require us to conclude that God was warning that “the very day you eat from the tree is the exact same day that you will die physically.” The Hebrew wording of Genesis 2:17 allows for a time lapse between the instantaneous spiritual death on that sad day of disobedience and the later physical death (which certainly did happen, just as God said, but for Adam it was 930 years later). As Scripture consistently teaches, both kinds of death (spiritual and physical) are the consequence of Adam’s rebellion. Therefore, Hugh Ross and other old-earth proponents are not correct when they say that spiritual death was the only consequence of Adam’s rebellion at the Fall. Learn something more about it here Romans 5:12-19. Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law. Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come. But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many. And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification. For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.) Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. Speciation is observed. Origins are not observed. A common progenitor is not observed. Man coming from apes was never observed. You say, "because we can get different breeds of dogs by selective breeding that all of humanity shared ancestry with a head of lettuce. Your religion is foolishness.

  33. I am not sure Jesus would tell us to do something that cannot be done? 13:34 During His absence, they were to be governed by the commandment of love. This commandment was not new in point of time because the Ten Commandments taught love to God and to one's neighbor. But this commandment was new in other ways. It was new because the Holy Spirit would empower believers to obey it. It was new in that it was superior to the old. The old said, “Love your neighbor,” but the new said, “Love your enemies.” Exposition It has been well said that the law of love to others is now explained with new clarity, enforced by new motives and obligations, illustrated by a new example, and obeyed in a new way. Also, it was new, as explained in the verse, because it called for a higher degree of love: “As I have loved you, that you also love one another.” 13:35 The badge of Christian discipleship is not a cross worn around the neck or on the lapel, or some distinctive type of clothing. Anyone could profess discipleship by these means. The true mark of a Christian is love for his fellow Christians. This requires divine power, and this power is only given to those indwelt by the spirit. (Believers Bible)

Darwin gave God very little credit but you give Him almost none. You may allow that He could have created the first living cell, but other than that, nothing. You believe man and milkweeds share common ancestry. You proclaim such en masse to try and convince Christians that their Bible is wrong an you are right. The word of God is truth. Nobody who disagrees with truth can state the truth; only falsehoods. Moses recorded in Genesis that God created man and woman from the beginning of creation. Jesus affirmed that God created man and woman from the beginning and intended them to be as one. You say that man evolved over millions of years. No intelligent person can believe two things in contradiction. Either they are wrong or you are. Here is wisdom for all who read this. The word of God can never be wrong, and your contradictions can never be right. There is no reason whatever for a Christian to believe in evolution. So here you post a lie as if it were a fact. Geneticists BELIEVE that all living things have a common ancestor. Believing a lie is not the same as discovering a truth. The rich man in Luke 16 BELIEVED he would not go to Hell. He did. In the end, truth is greater than belief. You can proclaim your heresy on the mountaintops, but it will never displace the truth that God created the world in six days, rested on the seventh, and created man in His image. No discover of science can explain the supernatural ability of an omnipotent God. Repeating the posts from atheist websites again? God did NOT say that Adam would die the same day he ate from the tree. That's the same lie Satan used to convince Eve to eat from it. How is it that you are in a Christian forum posting well known satanic lies? Moreover, why are you distorting the Scriptures to support the lies? The verse reads, "But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die." Not only was Adam's death then assured, but the death of every living being on earth. Sin and death were ushered into the world by man's sin. Prior to that, there was no death. There were no carnivores. Most Christians learn this from the time they are children and yet you do not understand it. Why is that? Do you lack the understanding, or is your anti-Scriptural agenda too strong? In the end, you will never convince me the Bible is wrong. I will never convince you the Bible is right. I only post to you for those who may be reading this with uncertainty; that their faith in God can be re-assured; that the word of God is truth. I do not pretend that this will prevail. In the end, the words you and others repeat will lead many to their destruction. Whereas Christ challenged us to teach others the Gospel, your time is spent trying to convince others that its teachings are false. Sadly, many will believe you. I don't expect ANYONE to believe me. I expect that they would read the Scriptures and learn the truth from the revelation of God.

  38. It is genocide to want to kill an army that is killing your people??? You just can't separate Hamas from all Palestinians, can you. The genocide is in your mind, not mine.

  39. No, you're not gay, you were just tempted and controlled yourself by turning away from what was tempting you. As did Jesus when tempted by Satan in the desert.

  41. I'm not the one who hacks up the Bible to try and shove the ungodly lie of evolution down everyone's throat. Every Bible quote you've posted has been blatantly taken out of context. You seem to have your own interpretation of the Bible, which has only a few words in common with the King James Bible.

  42. Everything I say I back up by posting God's word. My church is the Bible. If you preach that which is in the Bible, I may be a part of your church. If you teach differently, I will wipe my feet as I leave the door. If anyone can show an error using a complete passage of Scripture, I have no problem learning. When you post a partial quote out of context and pretends that it says that which it does not, I reject that as false teaching and an attack on the word of God.

  43. I am not Catholic. The pope is a man. He is the head of the Catholic church, but God's representative on earth is the Holy Spirit. That's why Jesus taught us to pray to the Father, not to any intercessors. The Holy Spirit is our intercessor. We pray to the Father. It is the Holy Spirit that teaches us the truth of the Bible when we read it. The Holy Spirit is God within us.

  44. It is simple! Christ is the only One who lived the "Christian life" perfectly ("love those who spitefully use you"), so only in and through Him can we be perfect also.

  45. This is the religious people not the spiritually alive person and like Nicodemus many of the preachers standing in many of the pulpits today who are not teaching the Bible to their congregations. You are right Jayne, and they still will not budge 2000 years later. Hearts are hard and ears still do not hear the Spirit of God.

  47. I think laziness is laziness, not tiredness, and I do not blame any spirit........ "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving" Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise! It has no commander, no overseer or ruler, yet it stores its provisions in summer and gathers its food at harvest. How long will you lie there, you sluggard? When will you get up from your sleep? 48. Here's a good verse: "Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord." (1 Corinthians 15.58)

  49. The flesh does get weary . . . I've found if I don't have strength to make it through something I can say something like, "Father, I am not feeling up to this task. I ask for energy to do this and according to Your will. May the Spirit of life in Christ be flowing through me for this endeavor." It never fails, that at the end of the day I look back and express gratefulness to Him for supplying me with His grace (aka favored supply)!
