  1. Fact is we just don't know what God will allow to happen or when. He is sovereign over this world and nothing is going to happen apart from His sovereign will and timing. Jesus said to worry not for the morrow, sufficient unto the day are the troubles thereof. Remember what HE did at Babel when it seemed "nothing will be restrained from them that they imagine to do". Remember Jesus saying to Pilate that he could do nothing to Him except it was given to him by the Father. Not one sparrow falls apart from the Father and we are worth more than many sparrows. When we see certain things begin to happen, look UP for our redemption draws nigh. We'll just take things one day at a time and keep keeping our eyes on Jesus regardless...He gives us grace and strength one day at a time for whatever we are facing.

  2. God is always in control. Yeshua is sovereign over all the cosmos. It may go 'dark' for many that live by their comm sets. It will not take much for the earth to 'go dark'. I also moved to a free gas locale in KY. But the ex (a flat earther) gave me the boot and all was lost in CH7. I am under no delusions about the pre-mil type of eschatology. It is all false. Do not look for that great elevator in the sky to rescue you. Just rely totally on the Lord and look towards the hills from whence cometh our help...

  4. Regardless of our eschatology--and there are many views--what we all agree on is that our God is Almighty and thus Sovereign and that nothing happens that isn't moving His Plan forward. Many of us are wrong regarding prophecy. Maybe some of us are correct. The one thing that we do know is what the Lord tasked us with until He returns. The Great Commission! The work of the Kingdom. We know that we have nothing to fear and indeed should not live in fear. He is our shield and even in persecution, we are triumphant 'In Him'. Let us be prayerful and "occupy until He comes".

  6. This is probably the best reply regarding those that find themselves in such a state. If you are in such a black place and trying to find a way out, suicide is one option that a person could reach to escape that place. It's not right choice, but it is an option.

I post this scripture for encouragement: 1Cor. 10:13 (NAS20S) No temptation has overtaken you except something common to mankind; and God is faithful, so He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it.

  8. Have you ever struggled with depression, Tammy? Some people are filled with such utter despair and hopelessness wanting nothing more than to escape the pain they're in. Have you read any studies or statistics that lead you to believe that many are influenced to commit suicide because of the idea of Heaven? I would argue that a suicidal individual desperately wants to flee the torturous place they're in without taking into consideration where they might end up. Perhaps some who have been suicidal might be able to confirm or deny this

I love talking to strangers on the street.I live in a small town of very mixed ethnic groups. After a while you get a nose for smelling out "chancers".I find as a Christian it's a wonderful opportunity to show others what you are by your kindness and deeds not necessarily what you "say" .On many occasions I chat with a good Muslim friend from Sheri Lanka in his little shop.and we exchange points of view in the context of respect for each other's beliefs. If need be, I always try to adhere to Peters's advice should the subject of beliefs enter the conversation "15 But have reverence for Christ in your hearts, and honor him as Lord. Be ready at all times to answer anyone who asks you to explain the hope you have in you, 16 but do it with gentleness and respect. Keep your conscience clear, so that when you are insulted, those who speak evil of your good conduct as followers of Christ will become ashamed of what they say. 17 For it is better to suffer for doing good, if this should be God's will, than for doing evil. 13. I will continue speaking to the Lord about you, brother. I know what it's like to be shipwrecked. How could I possibly forget?

  14. Well, I got my canvas for this, and decided that since I was thinking about a ship, and have since decided to make the ship pretty detailed, (as compared with it's more blended, 'moist' background) I would try something new. You get to experiment a lot when you have no idea what you are really doing. I decided to do the ship first - it has never been my practice to do anything but start from the farthest detail in the painting, and work toward the foreground. To try to get maximum detail, I was thinking I wanted to paint on very thin paint, canvas still showing. However, I also did not want to paint the background in around the ship. So I painted so thing sky and ocean where the ship would be, then I painted my ship on top of that. I knew I was going to have some dull, sunsetish colors behind the ship, so I painted the sails to reflect that fact. That is why they are not white. Anyway, after hours of trying to just this tiny ship (I have not found a good way to do minute details, and my vision is not good, and hands are unsteady) I finally got an acceptable outcome.: I found that I had to dilute the paint with some water, otherwise the detail was hard to do. Part of the problem is that here in the desert in the summertime, that paint dries quickly, and gets too gloppy too quickly.

  18. It's really sad how many are considering suicide these days...not just the young people, either. I actually read a post by an older Christian who said they were really leaning that way...and do you know WHY??? They said because they wanted to speed up their going to Heaven! The truth is, SUICIDE is SELF-MURDER and it doesn't speed up ANYONE going to Heaven. In fact, the Bible says that when we die, we just SLEEP in the grave until Jesus comes the 2nd time.

  19. Do you have believers that you can trust to fellowship with. Especially during times like these, its important to have that. The LOrd will work through that fellowship. The Body of Christ is a reality and He chooses to work through each member for the sake of other members. In the final analysis, read the scriptures and ask the Lord to help you to simply TRUST Him. He is trustworthy. Read Romans chapters 1-8 a lot, the Gospel of John a lot and camp out in the first 3 chapters of Ephesians. But you and I need fellowship.

  22. How kind of you Tammy to reach out and show concern for fellow man. These small acts of kindness and graciousness are so important in our lives now. Those guided by God's holy spirit, or active force, display its fruit of kindness. We show loving-kindness in our relationships with others. By showing kindness, compassion and a forgiving spirit we can harmonize our personalities with that of God who is “abundant in loving-kindness” and whose Word contains many examples of kindness.

  23. that is because, when the Bible was penned and to whom it was written at the time, the accepted overall cosmological belief was that the earth was flat. The Bible, not being a science book, used common words and phrases to get points across to the reader that would in a sense sound like it was saying the earth was flat.... but that isn't the context of what was being discussed within the scripture. You can make the Bible say just about anything if one pulls scripture out of the context it is written in and take it literally.

God wants us to know Him, but I think sometimes He lets us get to a place where He thinks we are ready. Sometimes I think things can be about His timetable and not ours. I just stayed involved in ministry for many years, and prayed A LOT about learning to love Him, until He started revealing Himself to me, and He started teaching me how to love Him - HIS WAY, and how to love others also, HIS WAY. Now, many years later we continue to get closer through continued prayer, bible study, and the leading of the Holy Spirit. God bless you. I hope my testimony helps you. Arrabon

  31. The people in Jesus' day should have been aware that the days had arrived when their messiah was here. Daniel had given the days. They should have had those things worked out. Just as people today should about things we were told about. If anyone tries to put the Tribulation and bowls and etc all in the past, I would say that is a blinding mistake. After all we should all admit that all the waters are not yet turned to blood, all stars and the sun are not yet gone dark, all trees are not yet burnt up, or the Euphrates not yet dried up, or an army of 200 million come to gather near Armageddon, etc etc. Correct?

  32. Every jot; tittle; name and number, period, and even comma's, has significant meaning in the Bible. One example: Isaiah 61:1 (KJV) The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; 2. To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn; [emphasis mine] Here Jesus is quoting Isaiah 61:2: Luke 4:16 (KJV) And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read. 17. And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written, 18. The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, 19. To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. [What is missing at the comma of Isaiah 61: verse two? Notice where and what Jesus leaves off at the comma, in His quote of Isaiah 61:2, that Jesus intentionally omits. This has not occurred yet, and so far has been about 2,000 years and counting. Isaiah is speaking about the day of the Lord [the Tribulation] and His second coming. It is said, "mathematics' is the universal language." Our Lord is the Master Mathematician. All Biblical numbers and Hebrew names have meaning. Ever wonder why so much detail with numbers for the Ark of the Covenant; Noah's Ark; the Tabernacle and Temple dimensions; numbers, numbers everywhere in God's word? Numbers are representations and patterns on earth, representing things in Heaven, or have important meaning, significant, and are to be paid attention too. The number 153 of your question, often represents "fruit-bearing" to many scholars. Hebrew names also have a meaning. It often gives us a tidbit of very accurate insight into their character, occupation, where they originated from, etc. It puzzles me, and I still wonder; how did their parent(s) know something about them and their future in advance, and name them accordingly? We're talking hundreds of names and people here! If you're interested in a deeper study of numbers and names; I suggest three little books. (1) Biblical Mathematics (Keys to Scripture Numerics) ~ Evangelist Ed. F. Vallowe (2) The Great Pyramid (Prophecy in Stone), the late ~ N. W. Hutchings (3) A Dictionary of the Proper Names ~ J. B. Jackson There is a great software program you may obtain free of charge; LOGOS Bible Software. You can get the basic package for something like $60.00 if memory serves? But in either case, you can add to your library by purchasing books from them like "A Dictionary of Proper Names." It's wonderful, I can go directly where I want to go immediately; highlight, copy / paste, take and add notes and more. I use to lose all my notes and work when I used a computer, when it eventually failed. The great thing about LOGOS, you will never lose anything again. Your program, all the books and resources you purchased, all future updates, all your notes; it is all stored ready to download on your new computer once you sign in again. For important things, I also use One Note or the Cloud as a secondary backup. Of course I have written notes in my Bibles, but the computer and programs makes it much faster, more productive and efficient in my studies. Shew we... That's such a long response to such a short question

  33. Yes--the already, but not yet tension in prophecy, but that doesn't mean we are to set aside those things that are clearly time stamped in the language. There is the rub. We are all working these things out...we will know when we know, as has always been the case in redemptive history. What was once unclear, becomes clear. The Lord will make sure of this as He wills. In the meantime, what are we to do? Occupy and obey his Commission.

  35. John's baptism was a baptism unto repentance, which baptism has been superseded by Christian baptism. The baptism of John was the baptism that Jesus had. Jesus did not need to repent himself, of course; but, he did that to identify with the repentant people of God and to pre-figure his death, burial and resurrection. It is symbolic of the death, burial and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. It is a public testimony of our identification with him, in his death, burial and resurrection, and of our repentance/faith in him. Acts 8:36-38 (Webster) 36 And as they went on their way, they came to a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized? 37 And Philip said, If thou believest with all thy heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. 38 And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they both went down into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him. The Lord Jesus came as a man, to die for men. A profession of faith in Jesus is required, in order to be baptised. There are many angels who desire God; but they are not baptised. Baptism is for humans (I can hardly believe that I'm having to write this!).

  36. I wasn't implying anything hidden. All genuine Christians are born again. Yes, only those to whom God has given a new heart/spirit (i.e. those whom God has made born again) are one with God in Spirit; and it is because of Jesus Christ, the cross and his resurrection. Yes, right again! We are born from above, by the Spirit of God. God having made us born again, we have a new heart/spirit. This new heart/spirit has godly desires that result in godly actions, by the grace of God. Ez. 36:26,27 (Webster) 26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. 27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them. This is great; however, even though we have been born of God, we do all sin sometimes, because we still have our unresurrected flesh. A genuine Christian (one who has been born of God, a.k.a. born again, or born from above) is characterised by righteousness, but marred by sin. Just the one. What you refer to here, is the threefold restoration of Peter, following his threefold denial of the Lord. The "lambs" are the young-in-the-faith Christians (but still sheep). The two mentions of sheep are because the Lord was restoring Peter to the fullness of his ministry, in three stages, following Peter's affirmations of love for the Lord, not because there are two kinds of sheep (there are young sheep, old sheep, Jewish sheep, Gentile sheep, white sheep, black sheep, etc., but they are all Jesus' sheep and that is what matters). How do we abide in Christ? By God's grace, through faith in Christ; and, that faith results in good works. All those who are genuine believers in the Lord Jesus Christ are his disciples. The Lord still leads us (his disciples) nowadays, by the Holy Spirit, who lives in us. If we take the planning of our lives into our own hands, then we will make a mess of it! We need to seek God's leading and trust in him, not our own wisdom. In all our ways, we should acknowledge him and he will direct our paths. There are "disciples" of Jesus who are disciples outwardly only. They may well attend meetings, read Bibles, sing praise and do the outward things that real Christians do; but, their heart/spirit has not been renewed (they are not born again). They are like dry, dead branches, hanging in a vine. They are in amongst the people of God ("in Christ" in this sense), but they have no life-giving sap of the Holy Spirit flowing through them. These are the ones who bear no fruit and are thrown in the fire. The ones who are thrown into the fire never knew Jesus. They were never born again and never had eternal life. John 17:3 (Webster) And this is life eternal, that they may know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. Matt. 7:21-23 (Webster) 21 Not every one that saith to me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out demons? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess to them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Those who are thrown into the fire (i.e. the fire of hell) are not refined. They are tormented day and night, forever and ever. Rev. 14:11 (Webster) And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receiveth the mark of his name.

That means a vaccinated person can still theoretically get, and spread, the virus - though they themselves are much less likely to experience severe illness. The vaccine likely protects against infection in most cases - but I haven't checked to see if there are any updated studies addressing that. The AZ studies tested for efficacy against infection (~70%) - but their statistics were dubious in other ways (e.g. combining the study statistics from different test sites using different controls and different doses).

His rule will be in both realms. The earthly authority will not come until: Psalm 110:1 The LORD said to my Lord, “Sit at My right hand, until I make Your enemies Your footstool.” Luke 19:12 Therefore He said: “A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom and to return." Luke 1:32 “He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. 33 And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end.” He has not yet returned. The Father has not yet made His enemies His footstool. He is not yet reigning from the throne of David in earthly Jerusalem. David was promised no heavenly throne.
