Proverbs 11:3 Abel Mutai, a Kenyan runner competing in a grueling international cross-country race, was mere yards from victory—his lead secure. Confused by the course’s signage and thinking he’d already crossed the finish line, however, Mutai stopped short. The Spanish runner in second place, Ivan Fernandez Anaya, saw Mutai’s mistake. Rather than take advantage and bolt past for the win, however, he caught up to Mutai, put out his arm and guided Mutai forward to a gold-medal win. When reporters asked Anaya why he purposefully lost the race, he insisted that Mutai deserved the win, not him. “What would be the merit of my victory? What would be the honor of that medal? What would my mom think of that?” As one report put it: “Anaya chose honesty over victory.” Proverbs says that those who desire to live honestly, who want their lives to display faithfulness and authenticity, make choices based on what’s true rather than what’s expedient. “The integrity of the upright guides them” (11:3). This commitment to integrity isn’t only the right way to live, but it also offers a better life. The proverb continues: “But the unfaithful are destroyed by their duplicity” (v. 3). In the long run, dishonesty never pays. If we abandon our integrity, short term “wins” actually yield defeat. But when fidelity and truthfulness shape us in God’s power, we slowly become people of deep character who lead genuinely good lives. Where’s your integrity being tested right now? What are the choices before you—and how do they increase (or decrease) your integrity? God of integrity, You’re honest and faithful. Make me more like You. Teach me how to live uprightly. INSIGHT The word integrity in Proverbs 11:3 comes from the root word tamam, meaning “to be complete, be finished, be at an end.” It denotes moral wholeness and innocence. These qualities are reflected in Job’s life: “Then the Lord said to Satan, ‘Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil. And he still maintains his integrity, though you incited me against him to ruin him without any reason’ ” (Job 2:3). Another form of this Hebrew word appears in Psalm 15:2, where it’s translated “blameless.” Who is it that will enjoy fellowship with God? Blessings Dennis This is not a Topic that I usually engage in much but because you are the OP I'm in(for a bit) .Normally I'm not participating because so many people rant on & on thinking themselves authorities or experts of the matter when truly so little is known to us from the little pieces of information we can gather up from the One True Authority...the Creator!!!Theres often a mix of verses of Scripture in with lots of extra Biblical information inserted...as we can easily look up (these days) in the Jubilees,Enoch,Apochryphia & many more sources.....but most of those sources are basically unreliable and most are better off staying clear of them I chose to begin with the verse of Scripture quoted above from the Book of Daniel.....here we can clearly see that one thing is for sure ,within the unseen realm of spiritual beings(lets call them all angels for right now).....which,as an aside,I do believe they are all angels and just different kinds of angels,or angelic beings ,thats my opinion As I was saying,what we do know is that their is a hierarchy within the ranks of these angelic beings Now if you start mixing the Biblical with the extraBiblical we will conjure up much more about these ranks that was ever revealed by Gods Word...so lets just stick to Scripture Daniel refers to Michael as a chief prince,we see in Jude1:9 he is called an archangel -from this we can assume Michael is a high ranking angelic being,right? Well in all honesty we dont know much more about Michael than 3 verses in Daniel & then again in Jude.....In thessalonians we simply read "the Archangel" but not attributed to Michael or any other name .....so are there more? According to Tobias & Tobit there are (7) & this includes a name we see in other extraBiblical texts,Raphael???? Again,truth is we can only speculate Lets talk about another angelic being we know from Gods Word,Gabriel....now contrary to what most believe Gabriel is not given the label of archangel according to Scripture,he may or may not be but I think it is unlikely because it seems Gabriel has the task of Delivering a Message whereas Michael is doing battle......yet they are both named ,they are the only 2 angelic beings named throughout the whole of Scripture besides one more.....guess who? I hadn't been paying attention to what you believe and I like asking direct questions. It helps understand the foundation of why people respond the way they do. For example, if you wanted to understand a book written by Jews from a hebraic mindset, how could one properly comprehend it from a Greek mindset? If I wanted to understand the U.S. constitution... I would ask someone from Brazil to explain it to me. This is one of the main problems with amillenialism / preterism... the understanding of a physical messianic kingdom is central in the hebraic mindset. I won't have time to respond till Monday, but that's the reason I asked.

One of the most important realities is -God is speaking His Words through man speaking His Words under inspiration of Holy Spirit ... this means where the man is thinking perhaps in the immediate~ God is thinking in all times and places immediate... I believe why this is written 1 Corinthians 8:2 (KJV) [2] And if any man think that he knoweth any thing, he knoweth nothing yet as he ought to know. [3] But if any man love God, the same is known of him. I don't delve into eschatological things to greatly other than that which has already been fulfilled to see how God speaks forward and then fulfills that which was spoken of.... (now written for our benefit) I use it more for glorying in The Lord and His Ways that exceed us all yet encouraging us to continue to learn of Him... There are many places within Scripture where a thing is spoken and then Scripture is silent or at least undiscovered to continue in thought of the thing spoken... it is here that a heart has to determine wait upon God or press by the will to continue forcing Scripture to yield to said will... and then this 'what good is it to be wrong '... while thinking one's right... the onus of weight has been placed upon the teacher James 3:1 (KJV) [1] My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation. 2 Timothy 2:24 (KJV) [24] And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, [25] In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; God's Word is clear and may we all in reverent fear get it right!

Brother Keras, you might be right. Prophecy is only clear when history shows it. But your approach to this matter is not well-accepted for two reasons: The few scriptures you have used to build a theory of judgment do not say that there will be a CME. Rather, they say that the sun will give signs of God's judgment. A CME might occur, but scripture is not using the scientific language needed to prove it. The Church was not revealed to the prophets of old. For the fate of the Church you have to go to the Ne Testament. And fitting in the right wording for judgment via the sun just doesn't work - for those who take scripture accurately It is no good to justify your view by saying that you have special revelation because we all have the same basis on this Forum - God's written Word. I do not deny that the holy Spirit must reveal things to us, but we discuss what the written Word reveals. There are signs in heaven attached to God's day of judgment, but they pertain to Israel and the Nations. If Christians face this gloomy fate, then it will be found in the New Testament. And the hope of escape of God's wrath because of what Jesus did is a vain hope. We are surely going to face men's wrath, but the whole "gospel" (good news) is trashed if our Lord's salvation is ineffectual. In the context of the Great Tribulation, we have these joyous verses in 1st Thessalonians 5:8–10; 8 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. 9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, 10 Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him. The overall context is what happens to the dead at the time of "catching away" (Chapter 4) The catching away to the air and the clouds is an escape The basis of this escape is the death of Jesus Our part is to wear a "helmet" which is the "hope" we have, and " be sober", dealing in love* The "hope" we have is to be where Jesus is, and be alive. Since Jesus is not yet on earth when the Great Tribulation breaks loose, we will be somewhere else. The context says that it is the clouds. Israel has NO such hope. They must pass through "Jacob's Trouble". 144,000 of them (symbolic or not) will be sealed to survive Jacob's Trouble. The rest side with the Beast and many are killed - by supernatural and natural disasters. * I am aware that many Christians will not fulfill these requirement. But they must flee toa wilderness and be helped "by the earth". there is no talk of a CME for them.

I experienced Spiritual Warfare at my former job, I would pray before going in and got such a bad feeling as soon as walked into the building, I prayed to God to open a new door for me and it was opened, I have since left that job 19 months ago already and am happy where I am now.

Where is God? He is a personal God who wants to have intimacy with us. If we draw near to God, he will draw near to us and manifest himself to us.

I agree with you, @Charlie744. The New Covenant is not based on works at all; it is a covenant of pure amazing GRACE, which is the infinite love of our Father in heaven. Just as Satan prescribed. Muddy up the waters so the bottom can't be seen. Make it so bad that THEY DON'T EVEN TALK ABOUT IT ANYMORE. Take the parts that are really telling truth and surround them with so much false information no one will dare try and find the truth. YES, I understand AND THAT IS TRUTH. NO ONE SURVIVES as we are NOW. WE are mortal. What appears to be the 'end of all life' is ONLY the ending OF THAT SPECIFIC LIFE. BUT God tells us LIFE GOES ON IN ANOTHER WAY. ALL knowledge of THIS LIFE will be gone. Just like all of this life will end. AND THERE WAS A NEW BEGINNING. A NEW LIFE. A NEW HEAVEN AND A NEW EARTH and we are being INVITED to go there. BUT WE HAVE TO BE WILLING TO GIVE UP THIS LIFE. We have to be willing to LIVE in that place NOW, WHILE WE HAVE A CHOICE. We are a blade of grass that lives and dies in one day. THAT is all this life amounts to. The entire thing is to find out WHO WE REALLY ARE. Spiritual eyes. WE LET GO of what we SEE and we SEE the UNSEEN and the unseen is the TRUE LIFE and we are presently WALKING THROUGH THE VALLEY OF THE SHADOW OF DEATH. This isn't the TRUE LIFE by any stretch of the imagination.

Might I just add some long term experience to this subject. Whether or not anyone knows it we are caught up in the middle of a spiritual war going on between our Lord and Satan and those who rebelled against the Father. Just a precaution for everyone; none of us as humans have any power or authority in the spirit realm. For us to deal within it we must have the guidance and protection of the Holy Spirit. The things I see discussed here, Faith, Truth and basically living a righteous life are the ways we build a relationship with the Holy Spirit. We must at all times understand this and put our total trust in him along with our total trust in Jesus to direct and guide our eternal future.

Let me show you where it is written (I admit, the Holy Spirit must be called on to connect the dots much of the time because if all information had to be given in every passage to make the point, the Book would still be being written). It starts here Revelation 1:1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:

It is all so very comforting to know that God Himself knew who would be reading His words and when! Unlike the apostles, who only knew about the land masses that were familiar in their time, we know about the whole world. To them in the first century, their understanding of the whole world and every nation is not like ours in this time. To them, every nation under heaven would not have the same meaning as it does with us today as we know more about this world then they did, yet God knew we would be reading His words today also. Did they have knowledge about the America's during the time Acts were written? How about Australia? What about all the islands scattered about throughout the oceans? Take the book of Daniel where God told him to "shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase." Can we say that those in the time of Daniel had the same understanding of running to and fro, or how knowledge would increase, as we do today? Should we use their understanding in place of ours? If so, then why would God seal the book until the time of the end? So goes with understanding what the whole world or every nation means. We can, if we choose to do so, use only the understanding they had at the time scripture was written, thinking like those of the first century, or we could utilize all of what has been opened to us in the time of the end.

Morning kwik---I opened my bible to Col. this morning and began to read to find verse 1:6. Col. 1:3 (NAS20S) We give thanks to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you, 4 since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and the love which you have for all the saints; 5 because of the hope reserved for you in heaven, of which you previously heard in the word of truth, the gospel 6 which has come to you, just as in all the world also it is bearing fruit and increasing, 23 if indeed you continue in the faith firmly established and steadfast, and not shifting from the hope of the gospel that you have heard, which was proclaimed in all creation under heaven, and of which I, Paul, was made a minister. Difficult to start reading in Col. and not continue. :-) Also: Acts 2:5 (NAS20S) Now there were Jews residing in Jerusalem, devout men from every nation under heaven. If you do a few logical searches in bible software at home or online with words like--every, all, nation, peoples, creation, world, etc. you will find this all over the bible. Logical meaning this as an example: every <and> nation. So I was pointing out that all and every, etc. doesn't necessarily mean, in all scriptures what it is made out to be by some folks.

Then Scripture itself should give us a more defined understanding of 'all nations' ... right? Do you have any such?

I am sorry, but this doesn't make any sense. Perhaps if you were to read it again. A 'partial' preterest is simple one who believes that some prophecy has been fullfilled. This means, without possiility of disagreement that every christian is a partial pret, as we all must believe that Christ was crucified and rose. It is always helpful to have a vocabulary of terms with which we all use as a starting point of communication---otherwise, we have babel.

Spiritual warfare requires that you keep your armor polished.
