  2. I believe this is referring to folks who will be deceived. This is saying that people’s love for family and friends will grow cold because they will turn away from God’s Word. And this apostasy scenario will just get worse and worse when those who fall away are unable to convince their family or true believers/saints/Elect to follow the Antichrist who they believe is the true Christ. In other words, they have been deceived. But God's Elect will never be deceived by the Antichrist. They are destined to endure to the end, remaining true to the King of kings and Lord of lords.

  3. Sounds good; I agree. Revelation 11:3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth. According to the verse above, the two witnesses have one thousand two hundred and threescore days which = 3 1/2 years. Notice that it’s days, not moons. This is the last half of the 3 1/2 year period shortened to 2 1/2 months if we consider Revelation 9:5: And they were not given authority to kill them, but to torment them for five months. Their torment was like the torment of a scorpion when it strikes a man. Since 1260 days are longer than 42 months, it follows that the two witnesses will arrive in Jerusalem a few days before the Antichrist. The two witnesses should therefore be spotted around two and a half months into the locusts' five-month period. and there’s my

  4. Yes, I do. Then I stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads a blasphemous name. Now the beast which I saw was like a leopard, his feet were like the feet of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. The dragon gave him his power, his throne, and great authority. And I saw one of his heads as if it had been mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed. And all the world marveled and followed the beast. So they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, "Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?" - Revelation 13:1-4 (NKJV) The first beast that comes out of the sea (peoples) mentioned in Revelation 13 is the one-world system. And we know one of its heads (a nation) will receive a deadly wound which the second beast in verse 4, the one that the world marvels and follows after, is Satan/the AC (the dragon). And when the AC causes the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, people will worship him (the image/AC) instead, believing his lies and blasphemous claims that he is Jesus—apostasy!

Isaiah 54:10 For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the Lord that hath mercy on thee. John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

  6. Yes, and the falling away is the great apostasy. In one instant, Christians who have been going to church all their lives will be deceived by the AC and begin worshiping him—just like that! Woe; they have just taken the mark of the beast. Folks, our Messiah returns after the antichrist (Satan). There’s no pretrib rapture going to happen. Don’t be deceived. Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God. - 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4

  7. Ya both got that right! however, "This is the day that the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it." Psalm 118:24 Psalm 59:16 “But I will sing of thy power; yea, I will sing aloud of thy mercy in the morning: for thou hast been my defense and refuge in the day of my trouble.” (can we get an AMEN!) A beautiful day today, staying home, as I recently had arm surgery and can not attend our fellowship at church today. I went up to the hi-way on the four wheeler to get the Sunday paper for my wife and gazed upon a gazillion wild flowers. She also can not teach her Sunday school class of children due to her passing a kidney stone... We both are taking needed days off from our businesses to recoup, so here I am. I hold privacy in high esteem. But personal data is very lucrative and we can not stop it's theft. Too valuable to the hijackers. So I quit losing sleep over the loss of it, and TRY to think on what I do have, our God's great blessings. The opportunity to have stopped all the craziness at the elections is long passed, so we can only put on a tourniquet. I do not do face book or any social talk clubs, no google etc accounts, no phone apps of any kind, no land line, or anything asking for ph #'s or addresses, no quick auto sign in anywhere, etc etc. And just press on, sowing seed, sharing good news..... "Here is what I have seen to be good and fitting: to eat, to drink and enjoy oneself in all one’s labor in which he toils under the sun during the few years of his life which God has given him; for this is his reward." 8. Blessings Brother! Hi Dennis, well said- like Brother Ray I too would have loved to disagree,to have offered anything at all to show evidence that you are mistaken--- can't do it,it is certainly the NWO( if that's what we can call it)pieces are falling into place, this " system" has been being set up for ages by the rulers of darkness and now it almost complete It is a mad mad mad & so very sad world we live in- I fight so hard to hold on to my personal info but it's like rowing upstream against the current- and water does take the path of least resistance ,but no one resists,do they? Now it's a tidal wave! Why so much complacency is the part I've a hard time understanding,I don't get people that just go with the flow without considering exactly what that might result in- are most folks just walking about so wrapped up in their own little"all about me':world?"Well,it's no big deal or doesn't affect ME right now".. hmmm, hard to reconcile, isn't it? But then again,WE Understand the Word of God,we've been warned what is to come and we Know the ending, and the New Beginning.....uhhhhh

  10. Continuing a little bit . . . It seems to me that God’s Elect are very bold and compassionate and alert. (just my ) Paul, called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother, To the church of God which is at Corinth, to those who are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all who in every place call on the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. I thank my God always concerning you for the grace of God which was given to you by Christ Jesus, that you were enriched in everything by Him in all utterance and all knowledge, even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you, so that you come short in no gift, eagerly waiting for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will also confirm you to the end, that you may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. - 1 Corinthians 1:1-9

  13. Thank you so much for that, bro! In my smaller men's group on Tuesdays, we actually do talk about these things and a couple, like me, have shared that they are in a similar situation as me in watching too many deadening things - not outright sinful, but deadening to our spirit for sure. We have prayed on a couple occasions about this, but not very recently and it is perhaps time to get a little more serious with one another and God regarding this! Time is short, in many respects, and this is an entanglement we don't need to say the very least! Thanks again!

  15. Ecclesiastes 5:1 Walk prudently when you go to the house of God; and draw near to hear rather than to give the sacrifice of fools, for they do not know that they do evil. 2 Do not be rash with your mouth, And let not your heart utter anything hastily before God. For God is in heaven, and you on earth; Therefore let your words be few. 3 For a dream comes through much activity, And a fool’s voice is known by his many words. James 2:16 Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren. 17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning. 18 Of His own will He brought us forth by the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures. 19 So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath; 20 for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God. 21 Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. 22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. 23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; 24 for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. 25 But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does. 26 If anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one’s religion is useless.

  16. “The world is not falling into pieces; the pieces are falling in place.” ~ Jan Markell Has anyone related to what is now occurring, with how one man can control the world? How far in life here in America can you get without a Social Security number, and who decides to get one? Parents must jump through many hoops to obtain a birth certificate without applying for an SS account number at birth. Get pulled over by the police, go to a doctor or hospital, employment application, a bank account, everything; what is the first thing asked after name, address, and date of birth? You got it. How does one live a productive life without that personal identifier? You know, the little card that says, “not for identification purposes,” like the one issued to me until it was removed for obvious reasons. Registration and data banks have become dangerous. I will refrain from the 2nd Amendment and gun control registration being implemented now but think about this. You do not own your biological information, which goes into a global data bank, and they have graduated from fingerprint collection to DNA collection. Everyone is now collecting biological information that goes into a data bank and is easily retrievable in minutes. If you are innocent of a charge and arrested, your check is swabbed in processing and goes into that database. That information cannot be expunged for any reason. The military, government, hospitals, and Ancestory.com even sell your information when you send off your ancestry request; all are not retrievable or expungable. Sure, it aids in cold cases and current crime investigations for convictions. But think of all the misuse and abuse of such tracking. You are genetically predisposed to get cancer or a heart attack at age thirty-six or whenever. Sorry, no health or life insurance for you or paying exorbitant premiums, to name one. Privacy rights and laws are rapidly changing, and not for the better. We are not secure in our papers or in our person anymore, ask the ATF. I thought things could not get any more ridiculous with O’Biden intentionally destroying our nation. Until, as Commander and Chief, issuing a mandate that the military switch to electric vehicles. That will surely boost China’s economy by buying batteries. Are you kidding me? But I digress; it is becoming a mad, mad, mad world. Idiots and tyrant puppets dancing to the tune of the unseen realm.

  17. “Does the show depict things that are in direct opposition to God and his rules and try to normalize them?” - FJK I would guess that at least 75% of prime time TV and streaming shows DO this and have been doing this for decades. It is how children get brainwashed with the lie (for example) that sexual sin isn’t really bad and God will wink at it. Parents have a strict obligation to do battle with these insidious, subtle, and godless influences on their children. But the reason many parent’s DON’T is because they themselves have been whitewashing what the Bible clearly states is Sinful. Being wishy-washy in my faith, I was guilty of this for many years. 😨 In retrospect I now believe that as Christian believers we need to draw a very FIRM LINE in the sand when it comes to secular entertainment of every kind, refusing to give ANY leeway to the millions of ungodly messages they constantly put out.

  20. There is a 'falling away' and there are fellowservants. The GREAT tribulation comes upon all who take the mark of the beast, both those who have fallen away and those who have always been of the world. 11And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled. Doesn't say EVERYONE but those who SHOULD BE KILLED AS THEY WERE. What do you see as taking place SPIRITUALLY, as it is a spiritual war, rather than this CARNAL side put forth, as far as death is concerned?
    1 point
  21. And the WAR? Act like it isn't real? And the WARNINGS? Don't bother to heed them? If we are given tomorrows HEADLINES and we don't USE that information, that just makes us totally irresponsible. When Christ comes up and says, I TOLD EVERYONE what was coming and the GOOD SERVANTS prepared the house to keep the thief out and they did, while the foolish ones didn't do anything and the thief broke in, what excuse do you think is going to work? Ignorance is not going to be acceptable as a means to escape the wrath of God because THE GOSPEL will be published in all the world, then the end comes.... SEEK, STUDY, PUT ON the gospel armor....I would heed those just the same.

  22. It certainly matters because it matters if we are deceived and become a part of the falling away, if we go from barren faithful virgin to unfaithful with child giving suck etc. There is only one way to make sure that doesn't happen and that is with Gods wisdom and knowledge. It matters to every single soul and that is why it is written over and over again and in so many different ways. NO ONE will get to stand up and say, I didn't know or I didn't understand, all they will be able to say is I chose the righteous way or I did not. I was not deceived, or I was. So the 'sequence of events' to come does matter a great deal if one doesn't want Gods Wrath to fall upon them. Faith comes by hearing the WORDS OF GOD. That is what 'believing' is all about. We believe in what we know or understand, not what we don't.

  24. Also, and I think this is a necessary part of the sanctification process, is to bravely examine our motives behind our actions and thoughts. I say bravely because it is seldom pleasant for our egos to be brutally honest with ourselves. And I do this in times of communion with the Father, Son, Holy Spirit, (prayer). It follows with the cry of David, "Show me any hidden sins in me that I might walk in your ways." I find the Holy Spirit reminds me of things in His word that themselves reveal hidden agendas and motives. ANd even though I may be broken by shame at my inner transgressions against God, there is also great gratitude and joy in God's faithfulness towards me even when I am faithless. They lurk in us, these hidden unholy motives and thoughts . They have no power over us to condemn us in Christ, but they need to be recognized before they can be removed. And even if they are not removed all at once, and we have to revisit them with God over and over, it becomes easier to recognize them and bring them into submission with repentance.

It is the Elect who are used mightily in the last days to proclaim the Word of God, and we are living in these last days now. "And the gospel must first be preached to all the nations. "But when they arrest you and deliver you up, do not worry beforehand, or premeditate what you will speak. But whatever is given you in that hour, speak that; for it is not you who speak, but the Holy Spirit. - Mark 13:10-11

  27. It's not possible, imo. I have made the same argument in the past and Pretrib has an excuse to cover this. Bibles will still be here. People who have heard the Gospel but didn't believe, will now believe. There will be widespread, sudden attack of morality and belief and trust in God and Jesus Christ, in the same people who previously rejected the Gospel. I guess that isn't out of the question as it is the way of the Gospel. Maybe not so much, or not at all, in the environment where all the believers had to be removed. Believers were removed before the flood, no one else was saved. Believers were removed before Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed, no one else was saved. But now believers are going to be removed before the end of the world, and then millions and millions will be saved? Doesn't seem to align, does it?

  28. I am as well. I've mentioned how, over the course of this life I have lived, I was stripped of everything except for the life in this body of flesh and blood and that was a fleeting thing, for I was close to death indeed. I cannot say that I *should* have died, brother, for we know better. We are here by the grace of our Lord alone. I lost everything: my family of flesh... whatever friends I had... money and possessions... a place to rest these bones... my strength... my health... the ability to speak and think... and in the end, the will to live. I was born into this world with afflictions, one of which is invariably fatal by the age of 40 (chronic granulomatous disease). I was afflicted with a type of muscular dystrophy that doesn't manifest until middle age and perhaps the most insidious of them all, a severe form of major depressive disorder that cannot be treated by medication nor therapy. The latter revealed itself not long after my 11th birthday. I witnessed unspeakable things in the house of my father and mother, so I'm well-acquainted with terror and fear. As I've said and written before, "The terror by night, and that fear which comes by day." Every year starting with my 11th on this earth, I attempted to end this life by my own hand. No matter what I tried, I emerged unscathed. I did not know the Lord, but I knew of Him; even in my ignorance, I knew that this was the work of God. I didn't understand! I just wanted to die. The psychosis of the depressive cycle was such that I was battered by suicidal ideations and before the cycle ended in the Spring, I couldn't resist the impulse any longer. I kept this a secret and spoke to no one... who would believe me? The Son of God. Not only did He know and see everything but the year before He revealed Himself to me, calling me out of this world to Him, He sent the most astonishing vision regarding what was to come in the future. It was that day not long after the term of my enlistment in the U.S. Army concluded, and I sat in a room with the muzzle of a revolver planted against my head. For close to two hours, I strained with all of my might to pull the trigger, but it was set in concrete. I couldn't budge it and when I was shaking with exhaustion, I cried out, "Why? Why won't you let me die?" Death was all I desired. I dreaded each and every day I opened my eyes in this world. The Lord sent this vision, and I won't go into the details regarding what I witnessed, but it was a vision of mountains I had never seen before. I saw the ridge line of these mountains shrouded in the darkness of a great wilderness and I despaired for I was so weak that I couldn't walk, let alone stand. I fell to the ground to die and that was when a great light dawned upon those mountains. The brilliance was greater than the sun and when this light rose, so did I. I stood up and felt strong once again; I said in wonder, "How can this be?" Over 20 years later, I stood on the side of a long road in the high desert looking upon the ridge line of those same mountains. I am indeed an introvert, but the Lord has provided me with work which I might pour myself into serving others. As for the severe depression which defied treatment of any kind, it lost its power over me 10 years ago when that day promised by the Lord had come.

  29. Shalom, Dave-regenerated. To that "1 friend," I hope you're referring to the Messiah Yeeshuwa` ("Jesus the Christ"). As far as Facebook "friends" are concerned, most are really "acquaintances." Most of the time, it is merely a "friend of a friend of a friend who happens to know you." Still, the Scriptures say, Proverbs 18:24 (KJV) 24 A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother. The second part of this verse is talking about a "bosom buddy," although many use it to describe Yeeshuwa` as that closest of friends. I can relate for I am an introvert. These forums are the best way I've found to express myself to others, although I am trying to write a book or two. To this day, I only have ONE childhood friend who keeps in touch. The rest have grown apart, involved in their own circles of friendship wherever they have moved. (I'm the same way.) Some have already passed away. Even my own family members have spread out across the nation. I live in Florida, and one of my sisters lives in the state of Washington! I've seen her once in 23 years and that was last year when our father died! The time before that was back in 2000 when I had open heart surgery! I've also had situations in my life that have isolated me from others. Sicknesses, surgeries, and such. Church people don't visit others any more, not like they used to do. I was born again when I was 6 years old and baptized a month later; today, I am 65 and I'll be 66 in October, but I'm still learning new things about the Scriptures. I also can relate to this. I'm basically caught between churches. I grew up in independent Baptist Bible churches and used to live in the heart of Northern Baptist church organizations. While shallow in their beliefs, always worrying about church attendance, they were among the most staunch believers in the evangelical outreach in their communities. They generally KNEW what it meant to be born again, and understood entirely the need for the New Birth and the confidence in eternal security. About ten years ago, I became aware of the Messianic Jews and started to attend a couple of congregations. I had grown deeper in my knowledge of God's Word, and was leaving the shallow thinking behind. I had also re-discovered my own Jewish roots; so, I was enjoying the more biblical approach to the teachings of the Messianic Jewish Synagogue I attended. I also LOVED the music they sang and DANCED to! I knew of Davidic dance, but I had never seen it done before! But, I think the song that finally convinced me the most was Robin Mark's song "Days of Elijah" sung by Paul Wilbur! My studies were leaning toward a more literal and realistic view of the Second Coming, and it fit perfectly with what I was learning! However, Messianic Jews embrace Pentecostal beliefs about speaking in tongues, and other things I was taught to avoid while growing up in the independent Baptist environment. We had a Pentecostal Wesleyan church in our town that was constantly attempting to infiltrate our congregation with their beliefs, and it was always through the visiting ladies from their church! So, it's taken me some time to work through those bad memories, and to discover the truth about the gifts of the Holy Spirit. There's a Scripture passage I've taken to heart about the matter: 1 Corinthians 14:20-25 (KJV) 20 Brethren, be not children in understanding: howbeit in malice be ye children, but in understanding be men. 21 In the law it is written, "With men of other tongues and other lips will I speak unto this people; and yet for all that will they not hear me," saith the LORD. (Isaiah 28:11-12). 22 Wherefore tongues are for a sign, not to them that believe, but to them that believe not (particularly, the children of Israel, especially the Jews): but prophesying serveth not for them that believe not, but for them which believe. 23 If therefore the whole church be come together into one place, and all speak with tongues, and there come in those that are unlearned, or unbelievers, will they not say that ye are mad? 24 But if all prophesy, and there come in one that believeth not, or one unlearned, he is convinced of all, he is judged of all: 25 And thus are the secrets of his heart made manifest; and so falling down on his face he will worship God, and report that God is in you of a truth. and 1 Corinthians 1:22-24 (KJV) 22 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom: 23 But we preach Christ (the Messiah) CRUCIFIED, unto the Jews a stumblingblock (a stone over which to trip), and unto the Greeks foolishness; 24 BUT unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ (the Messiah) [is] the power of God, and the wisdom of God. Thus, tongues are a SIGN for the Jews to see, but wisdom in prophecy is the WISDOM that Gentiles need to see! The bottom line is that there is a time for BOTH, depending on the audience! I'm glad you have SOMEONE, but books are no real replacement for people in one's life. Books are poor substitutes for the personal touch of being able to speak with someone who has known the Lord longer than one has known Him. Perhaps, I'll answer the rest soon.

  31. Now I have a question for all students of Revelation. There are TWO instances in the book in which John is so overwhelmed by what he has been shown that he does the unexpected - he falls to worship the angel showing him these things. You would think of all people John would know that it is only God whom he should worship like this. And he is admonished both times. What are the two instances in which John was SO overwhelmed by the greatness of the vision? And do you see any connection between the two instances? (I hope this will further help the discussion of the thread's topic).

  32. Greetings YCF, I enjoy also your fellowship and feel to re-read some of your points. My mastery of some of the mechanics of this platform are gradual. For some reason challenges are stimulatng and give me an incentive to dig deeper into what I believe. Sometimes I volunteer to present problems to my own strongly held views because we Christisn all "know in part and prophecy in part." But it is good to let others point out their observations as well, as you have done faithfully. I purposely take the tag "FEED - my sheep" because I have learned that to pass on knowledge (correct or incorret) is easy. But to try to nourish others with words of faith is REALLY what we should be about. Thanks for words of encouragement. FMS

  33. The more I study Scripture, the more I understand that the Lord has an answer for everything from main life principles of righteousness down to specifics such as a scientific controversy whether or not DHA and EPA omega 3-s are antagonists like scientists say or whether "red meat" is bad or good for you. Oftentimes when one knows the truth, the world and experts don't like to hear it. On the other hand, some of what they say is true but is narrow sighted such as the age of the Earth and stars in heaven. Clue: it's very old as they say, and life may have even evolved as they say, and yet the world as we know it was recreated recently and virtually no evolution took place so both have an element of truth. The problem lies when one accepts one extreme or the other. God is sovereign and active in all things and events so no matter what, understanding and knowing His Word will help one figure everything out. As I always point out, Sir Isaac Newton is my favorite theologian and understood the universe from this same stance. We need more ministers who understand mathematics and science; after all, God is the same mastermind behind it all.

LOL Can't unring a bell, every ungodly act depicted in programming, in advertisements, in public service announcements and so called news/opinion programming leave an imprint on the mind's memory bank. ------------------ Regarding the thread subject and opening post more directly: So what to do? Perhaps many things; when two men are depicted sitting on a roof top kissing as part of an ad to sell a product what is the personal reaction and response? Is it to bring to mind specific Bible passages refuting that behavior? Does it inform one not to buy the product? Does it even call out to write the product maker, write the tv network, write even politicians, sharing of the Bible passages that refute this demonstrated behavior? Does it call one into prayer and conversation with God? God does use what may be intended for evil, for good to those that believe on Jesus as lord God and personal savior. As for me I cancelled Cable tv altogether. I cancelled Facebook, I replaced these items with a lot of talks, sermons, from various resources including WCF. I do enjoy the Spurgeon archives of his presentations as another example. I do watch a lot of old Zola Levitt Presents too, taking a few notes and then research for pleasure within the Bible -mostly just reading it so that when situations come up and the Holy Spirit alerts. I have DVD's of some old movies and a few new ones too, mostly of the Kendricks Brothers variety. I even do puzzles, and still take nature photos then try to learn more about what I have photographed. For awhile I did the genealogy thing, but seemed like what was made was a bramble bush rather than a family tree. It went everywhere. Anyway it is not horrible to tune out, relaxing, watching fluff so to speak, but keep in mind one cannot unring a bell.

  37. The more familiar a person is with the scriptures the easier it will become. Check everything against scripture because that is where truth is. The problem with that is that false teachers use the scriptures to promote their teachings, but subtly distort them---just as the devil did with Jesus. Never ever take an isolated scripture and make a doctrine out of it. Are there other things in the Bible that contradict what is being taught? Or contradict the very character of God? It is a lifelong process of diligently seeking in the word. There are preachers and teachers who actually expound systematically on the word that are a great help in getting perspective. But doing this was a product of the Reformation, a time when preaching and teaching from the word had left the visible church--the RCC for hundreds of years. And it is a rare thing again today, this systematic teaching so that the Bible flows in a unity from beginning to end, presenting the same and never contradictory truths, and God remains the same God throughout, and the workings of the covenant of redemption flows through and within every page. I don't know if this is what you were referring to or to thoughts and ideas in general.

  45. Where I live we have television channels in series set-up for different venues and types of entertainment. It's just regular non-cable television. But it does include Christian Programs. One can disagree doctrinally but still be Blessed by having the Word of God spoken into your home environment. Now, I am far from one who has this on 24/7/365. I love Sports and have my own favorites involving ungodly sitcoms. I studied certain things in life when I was not living for God that includes body/mind/soul. Some series that includes Police and Martial arts just thrills me. I even enjoy watching the bad criminal taking a physical skilled beat down. I know it's entertainment, even though, I might justify it by saying Good Triumphed over Evil hahaha But there can also sometimes be seduction, revealing more than should, and bad language involved. It does not tempt me one bit. But I know it ain't helping on the Spiritual Side of God either. And if that didn't seem competitive enough, wait until NFL and NCAA Football Seasons and NCAA Basketball. I have a foam brick just to throw at the television toward the referee for calling an obvious Home Field Advantage Penalty Call...

  46. I have read it also. A very good book, well-researched and well-written. What concerns me more than anything else about KJVO people is that they consider that one translation to be the very words of God. I think that is because they cannot conceive of a God that communicates clearly in one's own contemporary language, even though when God came in human form He spoke Aramaic (a Jewish dialect of the common people). Additionally, when the "books" of the New Testament were written, they were written in Koine Greek, the lingua franca of the Mediterranean region. To our ears, 17th Century Englyshe sounds "exalted" perhaps, so it must be "of divine origin". There is, of course, no equating that with the way God has actually communicated.

  47. A show can be "Godless" yet not be opposed to God. Does the show depict things that are in direct opposition to God and his rules and try to normalize them? Many shows, movies, etc, do but do so in so subtle a way that it can slip by unnoticed, implanting behaviors and attitudes in your mind without you realizing it, and have you think they are your own from your own experiences when they surface and control your reactions to events in the real world around you. Beware of this and don't allow it to infect you without your knowledge, watching the show is not necessarily bad, we all live in a secular world and should expect such, but don't let it influence you at an unconscious level so you learn to accept things that you would normally reject as unacceptable. And, of course, outright reject anything attempting fo portray all sorts of sinful behavior, sexual perversions in particular (men kissing men, women doing all sorts of things with other women, young people having illicit sexual relationships), as being accepted so that they become normalized in your thinking, just shut those things off as soon as you see it happen. My opinion for your consideration, I'm sure others will have different ones to consider as well.
