  1. "The angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.” Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”

  4. Hi @kwikphilly All those lights remind me of Las Vegas where there is apparently the world's biggest display of Christmas lights....... Blessings at this special time. "O little town of Bethlehem, how still we see thee lie! Above thy deep and dreamless sleep the silent stars go by. Yet in thy dark streets shineth the everlasting light; the hopes and fears of all the years are met in thee tonight. How silently, how silently, the wondrous gift is giv'n! So God imparts to human hearts the blessings of His heav'n. No ear may hear His coming, but in this world of sin, where meek souls will receive Him still, the dear Christ enters in."

  5. Everybody loves the baby Jesus. Well many do anyway. Some certainly did not and to this day do not. The willing sacrifice made by Yeshua for our eternal security with Him began in the flesh with his immaculate conception, his then becoming birthed fully human, in order to reconcile that which could not be reconciled. What Christians tend to celebrate as the birth of our Lord and savior was a sacrifice by our creator from the getgo, was it not? Oh how wonderful yes! But at such a high cost to our God of mercy and grace from everlasting to everlasting. Yeshua came to take on to himself all sins, absolutely all sin of those given to Him by His Father, of whom He loses not a one of us. What an awesome moment, what a gift to us of such great price. Yes happy birthday I suppose, but wow what a sacrifice by God it is. Such awesome love for His creation. It is amazing grace indeed. Thank you Lord thank you, amen. And for me it is the very happy birthdate, for it sealed my eternity.

  6. AMEN! I am continually amazed how God starts so small, like with a small Baby born in a little place. And this is His way, the way of life, which always starts small - think of a seed or embryo. Small and meek. Meek, like a lamb. The shepherds nearby to Bethlehem, understood what it meant by a "babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, laying in a a manger" meant. This was the same thing done to the spotless lambs born in their flock, which were used in temple sacrifices - they wrapped the little lambs up, and laid them in a stone manger for protection, until they could be delivered to the temple. Behold the Lamb of God, Who takes away the sin of the world!

  7. Ah the quaint scenes depicting Christmas; snow, families bundled up in heavy winter dress, and poinsettias plants shipped in for color. Yet, as I look outside on this early Christmas morning, I hear the warm rain starting to fall patting the roof, and notice especially how bright the yellow double hibiscus bushes blooms are, now in their full bloom and still attracting butterflies. On the whole I am sure I like the hibiscus blooms and butterflies over snow and shipped in poinsettias. As to your own preferences, may they be plentiful this day for you. Yes merry Christmas to one and all!

  8. I had this below in my keep box, I found it a while back on line. When you lie down, your sleep will be sweet.” Pr 3:24 NIV Try a power nap God built specific triggers into our bodies to let us know when it’s time to escape consciousness. And wise people listen to these clues. History’s most notable power nappers include Albert Einstein, Thomas Edison, and Winston Churchill. There is a reason why your eyelids start to droop around 2:00 p.m. The levator muscles, which constantly contract to keep your eyelids open, give out and beg for a break. And a chemical called adenosine, which collects in your brain when you’re awake, piles up and makes you feel drowsy. Consequently, your body yearns for sleep to allow the adenosine to disperse, resulting in instant relief. A study published in the Annals of Internal Medicine confirms that people who nap for at least thirty minutes daily, three times weekly, are one-third less likely to die from heart disease. And additional research suggests that taking a nap can improve creativity and memory. Cognitive neuroscientist William Fishbein says that often during a brief nap, our brains actually keep working to resolve problems and form new ideas. That helps explain why Mozart professed to have composed music in his dreams. Studies also show that a little extra sleep can assist with weight control—which means you can lose as you snooze! Ghrelin, a hormone produced in our intestines, tells us we’re hungry and triggers cravings for sweets, salty foods, and starches—all the bad stuff! However, when we sleep more, our colon stores less ghrelin, and our craving for junk food diminishes. In Scripture, Jesus not only took frequent rest breaks himself; He encouraged His disciples to follow suit. So, try a power nap.

  10. Here is a link to an article about one of the darkest chapters in recent Christian behavior: The title is "It’s Time To Be Honest About Native American Boarding Schools In The U.S." The link is Residential Schools Destroyed Native Communities In The U.S., I live in New Mexico and this is a very dark chapter in American history. The treatment of native children and the use of force to eliminate their culture was a disgrace of huge proportions. I personally knew a native man who, when were were in my car, pointed out where he was sent to a "school" and described the abysmal behavior of the so-called "Christians" toward native children. (He ran away numerous times but was caught each time and forcibly returned to the "school"). Although this situation has changed, the memories are still alive in native communities.

  14. What is the `something better ` for us? `And all these, having obtained a good testimony through faith, did not receive the promise, God having provided something better for us, that they should not be made perfect apart from us.` (Heb. 11: 39 & 40) `Something better,` Greek - `keitton, meaning greater advantage, from kratos,` meaning dominion, power. Thus, the `us,` the Body of Christ will have `something better,` a greater dominion than the Old Testament saints. We know that the Old Testament saints were promised the city which God would bring down to the Universal realm. There they would rule with Christ over the earth. So, what is the Body of Christ inheritance? We have been promised to sit with Christ on His own throne. `To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne.` (Rev. 3: 21) And we read of the glorified Lord Jesus Christ set as King by the Father on Mount Zion in the third heaven. `I have set My King on My holy hill of Zion.` (Ps. 2: 6) `Behold, a throne set in heaven and one sat on the throne.` (Rev. 4: 2) The Body of Christ will be ruling with the Lord on His own throne in the third heaven, then he will begin to put down all rule, all authority and power till finally death. `For He must reign till He has put all enemies under His feet. The last enemy that will be destroyed is death.` (1 Cor. 15: 25 & 26) When that happens and after the Great White Throne judgment there will be a new Heavens and new earth. `Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also, there was no more sea. Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of (third) heaven from God….` (Rev. 21: 1 & 2) So, we have the Body of Christ ruling in the third heaven and then in God`s timing the Old Testament saints come down in the city to rule in the universal realm. Thus, they will be made perfect after we have been given our position in the third heaven. And on the earth Israel will rule over the nations. Each realm that God made will then have His righteous rulership – all under the glorified Lord Jesus Christ.

  16. Your statement is false. Not only does Genesis one say how long it took, so does the Fourth Commandment, recorded by God in Exodus 20:11. In fact, the creation is referenced throughout the Bible. You have nothing that backs your assertion that Genesis was a figurative passage. Further, we have the actual words of God carved by God Himself on stone tablets and given to Moses. For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it. Was God speaking the truth, or should we believe your words over His? God warned us about false teachers in 26 of the 27 books of the New Testament. Why would He do this if He didn't know that the Father of lies would created many false religions, including evolution, that will deceive many. All of it is wasted in you don't learn about the Creator. The creation is nothing but a rock we are on for a moment in relation to the eternity of our salvation or damnation. The earth and the stars will pass away, but the glory of God is forever. Science is the study of the physical world. However, the physical world is temporary. God is supernatural. He is not slave to the physical laws He created. He could create everything in six days, six hours, or six trillion years. What He CANNOT do is to lie about it. There are 10 commandments, and God expects us to follow them all. James 2:10-12. For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law. So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty. Frankly, if it were possible to ignore the fourth commandment I would make sufficiently more money, because I work for a dealership that is open Sundays. I could work for a much better place and make a much better living, but I would have to work on the Sabbath. If I could compartmentalize the Scriptures into a package that better fit the times we live in, it would be better for me. However, the Scriptures don't change because they are inconvenient. Neither do the commandments. That includes the fourth.

Its a pretty good language capable of many things on an detail level (creating functions etc.) I liked it, but, then a job opened up in my area for an developer using Progress 4GL, and so I spent 20+ years in that environment. I honed my skillset using Progress, interfacing to an manufacturing DB platform, and ended up supporting 30 databases world wide in the Americas, Europe, and Asia Pacific. Now after retiring, I have been looking for PT employment and have found that my Progress skills are considered not in demand. C++ is good, but, I am seeing that Python and other web based languages are the future. I am considering learning it, but, at my age it might not be worth the effort to learn it. I believe that Sequel or Python or other web based platforms I have not heard of are probably your future. I wish you the best in your career quest.

  20. The Complete Prophecy to Eli 1 Samuel 2: 27 Then a man of God came to Eli and said to him, Thus says the Lord: Did I not clearly reveal Myself to the house of your father when they were in Egypt in Pharaoh’s house? 28 Did I not choose him out of all the tribes of Israel to be My priest, to offer upon My altar, to burn incense, and to wear an ephod before Me? And did I not give to the house of your father all the offerings of the children of Israel made by fire? 29 Why do you kick at My sacrifice and My offering which I have commanded in My dwelling place, and honor your sons more than Me, to make yourselves fat with the best of all the offerings of Israel My people? 30 Therefore the Lord God of Israel says: I said indeed that your house and the house of your father would walk before Me forever. But now the Lord says: Far be it from Me; for those who honor Me I will honor, and those who despise Me shall be lightly esteemed. 31 Behold, the days are coming that I will cut off your arm and the arm of your father’s house, so that there will not be an old man in your house. 32 And you will see an enemy in My dwelling place, despite all the good which God does for Israel. And there shall not be an old man in your house forever. 33 But any of your men whom I do not cut off from My altar shall consume your eyes and grieve your heart. And all the descendants of your house shall die in the flower of their age. 34 Now this shall be a sign to you that will come upon your two sons, on Hophni and Phinehas: in one day they shall die, both of them. 35 Then I will raise up for Myself a faithful priest who shall do according to what is in My heart and in My mind. I will build him a sure house, and he shall walk before My anointed forever. 36 And it shall come to pass that everyone who is left in your house will come and bow down to him for a piece of silver and a morsel of bread, and say, Please, put me in one of the priestly positions, that I may eat a piece of bread.

Actually Holytrinity, the best, most desired place the Lord God desires you to keep his word is in your heart; Blessed are those who keep his testimonies, who seek him with their whole heart, I will praise thee with uprightness of heart, when I shall have learned thy righteous judgments. With my whole heart I seek you; let me not wander from your commandments! I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you. Memorize I also Holytrinity use my phone a lot with a free bible download, because it is always available throughout the day. In my phone I have a memo page that I can copy/paste certain scripture verses to memorize or refer to, those ones that I have to use to remember when encountering problems, or the enemy as you are doing. Verses that remind me of my position in Christ as God's son. The good stuff. All technology is from God, and we can use it to his glory or his shame. My phone is a tool, to help me HIDE GOD"S WORD in my heart, by memorizing it. You can have a phone app bible, or a dozen physical bibles, but it is the word that needs to get from your bible source to your heart. Memorizing it in your heart is like having an anti virus running in your own hard drive mind/heart. Cool...

  24. Satan is the father of lies. Evolution is a lie. Therefore, Satan is the father of evolution. Satan is the father of lies. Islam is a lie. Therefore, Satan is the father of Islam. Satan is the father of lies. Buddhism is a lie. Therefore, Satan is the father of Buddhism. Satan is the father of lies. Mormonism is a lie. Therefore, Satan is the father of Mormonism. Every lie, when repeated, is an homage to its creator. Here we are, on the assigned celebration of the greatest event in the history of mankind, and you are bearing homage to the father of lies by repeating one of his favorite lies. Why do you think that is? In John 21, Jesus said to Peter, if you love me feed my sheep (not a verbatim quote). Why do you poison them? Does anything you post make people want to trust their Bibles more, or less? If someone agrees with you, they have to put aside much of what the Bible teaches. Is that your true desire? Jesus said that from the beginning, God made them made and female. You claim they were evolved, which is a direct contradiction. Should one believe you over Jesus? My intent in this and other forums is to defend the word of God against Satanic attacks and false teaching. I am NOT a clergyman. I use as my guide the Scriptures themselves, the interpretations of learned people who believe in the Bible as written, and what I believe to be the personal revelation of the Holy Spirit. I know that when referencing Scripture, nothing is to be added; nothing taken away. And so, here is the passage from John 21. 15 So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs. 16 He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep. 17 He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.

  25. The post isn't breaking for me today, so I'll have to do this another way. For me, God would still be an incredible God had he formed everything over billions of years. However, this is NOT what the Bible teaches. The Bible teaches that God created the universe and all that is in it in six days. The Fourth Commandment is based on the six day creation, Jesus confirmed that all Scripture is God breathed, so from the finger of God and the lips of God the world was created in six days. Man was created in God's image on day six. God never does things the easy way. He rains down fire AFTER a hill is soaked in water. He comes to earth born of Virgin. He heals the sick and raises the dead with a simple command. He still comes into people's lives and He turns wicked hearts to Godly hearts. He also brought back Jonah after three days in the belly of the "great fish." This you probably don't believe, since like every other miracle it's impossible. However, Jonah wasn't alive in the belly of the fish. He was dead. His spirit was in Shoel. What is more efficient is to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and to read God's word with an open heart. Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal it to you. Go to a good fundamentalist church and learn what the words of the Bible actually mean. You are spouting foolishness that Satan originated and non-believers have taught you as truth. Education without truth is indoctrination.

All flesh is grass, and all the beauty of it is as the flower of the field. 7 The grass withers, the flower fades, because the Spirit of the LORD blows on it; surely the people is grass. 8 The grass withers, the flower fades; but the Word of our God shall stand forever. 1 Peter 1 24 For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of men as the flower of the grass. The grass withers, and its flower falls out, 25 but the Word of the Lord endures forever. And this is the Word preached as gospel to you.

  33. He didn't use evolution in His creation. He created the heavens, the earth and everything in it in six days, as He later acknowledged in the Forth Commandment. He created man in His own image. Man knows that evil is wrong because Adam learned the knowledge of good and evil; and thus the consequence of our actions. This is the celebrated anniversary of the arrival of Jesus Christ on the earth. He came to be the blood sacrifice for the sins of man. Whosoever believes in Him will not perish, but have everlasting life. Jesus believed in and taught from the Scriptures. He rebuked the devil by quoting Scriptures. Such a strong weapon against evil would not be strong if the Scriptures were not accurate. Even Satan knows that the word of God is truth, despite the lies he tells people. Satan claims that man was not created by God in His own image. When you preach the doctrine of evolution you are teaching the lies of Satan and are giving it sovereignty over the word of God.

If I didn't get that pause I often would get brain fuzz (all circuits full) and exhaustion. My brothers, all hard workers, also do the same. Napping offers various benefits for healthy adults, including: Relaxation. Reduced fatigue. Increased alertness. Improved mood. Improved performance, including quicker reaction time and better memory. Reduced fatigue. Boosted mood. Improved heart health. I Cannot remember/name of the study that was done, but our brain, central nervous system, does not have a lymphatic system, the vital part of our immune system, which removes waste and protects us from infection and destroys old or abnormal cells your body doesn’t need. I saw a PBS Frontline documentary that showed that scientist discovered how the brain removes that waste. It comes about when we fall asleep. Using some kind of thermal or sonic imaging they saw some kind of green river like glow in the brain of the waste being removed. Neat video. Power naps are not a myth. They work. It's natural to feel jealous, but don't let it consume you. You need to learn to trust him. Without trust your marriage will never last. Furthermore you need to make sure you know how to forgive. Because what a lot of young couples don't realize is that sooner or later their partner will do something to hurt them and vise versa. It's not a matter of "if" but when. The ones that last learn how to work through this-they learn how to accept responsibility for their mistakes, and how to forgive each other and work past them.

  47. 12-19-23 My Kingdom Is Not Of This World John 18:36-37 36 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence. 37 Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.
