  1. Years ago atheists had access here and they were counter witnessing to immature Christians, basically corrupting their faith. This site is also accountable for encouraging Christians to grow in faith and not be harmed by atheists who are intent on causing harm. In my opinion, it is good for there to be a place for Christians to fellowship without unbelievers and for there to be a place for atheists to be witnessed to by well grounded Christians.
  2. Hi all, Hope and pray you are all ok. Just a quick one to let you know we arrived safely. It was a long journey, but we're here. It is very hot and sunny. Totally different to what we're used to. lol. I will continue to pray for you all whilst I'm here. God bless you. Becky.
  3. So, we have moved to a new house and a week back we had invited one of the pastors we know to our house. Just to spend some time us and bless the new house. He stayed overnight and we were planning to do some prayer in the evening. He is such a humble and wonderful person full of wisdom! He is a pentecostal Pastor and always encourages me and my wife to seek Baptism of Holy Spirit. I have held different positions about speaking in tongues. Generally I have always believed speaking in tongues is for today. But my position was that it was not "essential". I never prayed for it too much. In my Church, a series on Spirit Empowered Life has been going on from beginning of the year (and this week they started a new series). Wonder about the timing!! The Pastor was actually fasting that day and wanted to pray with us for us to receive baptism of HS. He talked about it for a while and we started praying. I prayed. Then I slowly set aside my doubts and prayed to God that He would simply touch me and fill me. If that means speaking in tongues, then let it happen. This went on for a while. Then I thought Pastor would stop and stay keep asking the Lord and some other day it would happen. Nope, he would not stop! We kept on praying and finally my wife started speaking in tongues. That's when my prayers became serious!! I was in tears, just praising God and asking Him to fill me. Then the Pastor was moved by HS and he layed his hands on my head. On that instant, I felt like something gushing out of me. I started crying and speaking in tongues. It felt liberating. It felt like water breaking out of dam. It felt like everything came out of the core of the body or close to belly. That's the best way I can describe! I was speaking in tongues for a while and eventually we stopped. Yesterday during worship service at Church, once again I spoke in tongues for a while. May be for 1 or 2 songs. It is amazing! Clearly I could feel connected to God than normal praise and worship. It feels like there is zero distraction. No other thoughts in mind. And there is a calmness and peace at that time. And plenty of crying! I am so thankful and grateful to Lord that He would chose a sinner like me to show His goodness. I am not posting this up for debate on whether tongues is for today or question my experience. I am sharing this more as a testimony. As for my position about Baptism of Holy Spirit, I can personally testify that speaking in tongues is for today. Is Baptism of Holy Spirit is a second experience after being saved? This is the case for me. May be that's the way it is or may be that's the way it was for me because of my unbelief and not seeking it before. I don't know. If you are in my boat, set aside your doubts and seek Him. Just seek Him.
  4. Hi there folks, just to let you know that I hadn't fallen off the edge of the world. Just been working away from home over this last week, and no access to a computer or laptop to keep up with all that has happened. Just happy to be home and among you all again, God bless.
  5. Thank you all so much for taking the time to reply with such openess, honesty, love and care...wow to your testimonies of what you been through and by the grace of God came through and for encouraging me. I do have great Christian friends, I also have great judgers lol but u understand everyone is walking their own walk and all that matters is God and what He says and anything good in my life is only because of Him. Part of me lings to turn back and part of me is afraid. I am so thankful to God that I found this chatsite because there are so many truly genuine Christians on here and you are making a difference by the grace of God. I didn't know what to expect when I posted the above post but I cried when I read what you all had to say. From the bottom of my heart thank you all so much and I pray God encourages and strengthens you all in Jesus name 💕

  7. Hi, I’m very grateful to have found this forum. I have had a belief in God for a while but had a spiritual awakening recently following some difficult news. Since then I’ve been exploring and developing my faith and am now wanting God and Christ in my life. I’m looking forward to learning more about God’s Word from you all.
  8. I wouldn't allow the "temptation" to be so close ... and I believe you would find sufficient Biblical evidence to easily justify your decision. Welcome to Worthy ... and remember ... you're the parent ...
  9. John 7: 38 He that believeth on me, as the scriptures hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. KJV
  10. May Yahweh bless you richly @diane32. May your walk tomorrow be bolder than yesterday. What a wonderful, loving, kind Father we have! Despite how we act and fall, He is always faithful in picking us up and guiding us by the hand again. HalleluYah!
  11. my bride went home a few years ago so I've pondered on this a lot. the Bible makes it clear we're not "married" as we were here, but it's difficult for me to imagine there won't still be something very unique about our relationship in eternity. The one with whom I became one flesh was used by Him to mold me into what I now am. She remains a part of who I have become. I don't know how all that will actually be expressed but I feel pretty confident that unique, common experience will remain in some fashion.
  12. Hi all, Praise God and thank Jesus. My internet has come back on. We had a storm on Thursday, and it knocked if off. The engineer came out this morning and its now back on. I miss it when I don't have it, as I can't come on here! Thank you Lord that it is back. Becky.
  13. Psalm 27 King James Version (KJV) 1 The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? 2 When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell. 3 Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident. 4 One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple.
  14. Welcome aboard Worthy disqusnutchat ( i had to look at that name a few times before getting it right) Worthy mods react to each Seeker on merit.. Some stay here and interact until they are satisfied.. Others are shown the door sooner.. So as long as you remain polite then all should go well for you.. As for me i became a Christian in my early to Mid 20's ... As for miracles i have no difficulty believing in them because i believe in God.. If the all powerful, all knowing, eternal God Creator of the Universe exists.. Things like Him causing a Virgin birth would be child's play, so easy.. Thus believing in the Virgin birth of Jesus and all the other miraculous happenings in the Bible is very easy for me.. But as i say if a person does not believe a God that i have described exists then even the most trivial of miracles is unbelievable... As for spiritual experiences, Yes i have had them.. They did not cause me to believe the teachings of Jesus.. But they did reinforce my absolute confidence in the God of Abraham and in the LORD Jesus Christ.. Anyway hope to hear from your soon and i hope your questions are meaty ones.. May you be blessed during your times on this forum..
  15. Beloved sister, may I pass on what my pastor taught us when difficult or stressful times came into our lives, ...sanctify it, ...I don't mean to sound harsh or unloving or uncaring, but dedicate these times to the Lord, ...rather than dwell on the stress in your mind, meditate, ruminate on what Father has already done for you in the past and thank Him for it, ...in other words, to take your mind off of the problem, ...turn it into a time of praise to the Lord. Also, one of my favorite verses in the Old Testament is, It-came-to-pass! Every situation, circumstance that comes into our lives will pass, ...may I suggest you study the Names of God used in the Word, ...now that I'm well advanced in years, Jehovah Rapha has become one of my favorites, ...the God who Heals me, when meditating, reflecting on that Truth I understand Father so loves me that He has been at work healing my body from the moment of my conception, giving my body the necessary strength to fight off infections before I became sick from them or healing me after they ravaged my body, ...this Truth has revealed to me how unlimited His love is for me, so that, ...we love God because He first loved us, ...yes I pray for Him to heal me now (and you will be in my prayers also), ...but, if the passing means I'm to go home to be with Him, I'm at peace with that... Father, I lift up my sister before your Throne of Grace where she can find Mercy and Grace in her time of trouble and need, ...Father I know you have heard her words and the cry from her heart, the anguish she is experiencing in her soul, I pray Father you would flood her with Your Peace, the Peace that goes far beyond our human understanding, I ask Father you would make Your Presence very real to her at this time, that she would know You are holding her in Your arms, may Your Peace calm her worried mind, may it soothe her anxious soul, may she understand in her heart that she is Yours and You are in control of her life, ...Father I ask you, if it be Your will, that she not become ill, please reveal to her she is not drowning, but is being held firmly in Your loving and caring arms, ...in the Name of Jesus and for Your Glory. Lord bless dear one
  16. I believe the confusion comes in this way .... Jesus never broke the Sabbath Commandment which He established ... He broke the "interpretation of the Sabbath command" as instructed by the Pharisees of the day! This is what Jesus often did ... and showed the truth of what was in the Torah!
  17. Hi everyone! I just joined and introducing myself to get authorization to post elsewhere. I identify as Christian since January, and I am passionate about my relationship with God. I hope to have some great conversations here with people from all different paths.
  18. Ephesians 5:19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; KJV
  19. My own experience involved quite a struggle that I find amusing now. I went forward in church in response to an altar call inviting those that wished to receive the baptism in the Spirit to come forward for ministry. I knew little about it really but had at least seen enough to understand that this was one of the baptisms I had not experienced and if God has something on offer i want it. I was quietly praying and asking Him to baptize me in the Spirit and when the pastor came by and laid hands on me I could immediately sense His presence in a stronger way....but boy there was a battle going on in my mind. Lots of fearful "self" stuff like "I don't want to sound stupid...." going on and being way too focused on what others might think But that presence remained and it was peaceful and comforting so I kept praying and trying to bring my thoughts in line. Eventually I did feel a bit of a bubbling sensation in my stomach and it literally moved up ward toward my throat and mouth and when it hit my mouth I spoke out three words I'd never heard before and didn't understand. I was so surprised I kinda shut down and went back to thinking "Was that real? Did I do that? Was that You or me Lord?" Didn't have a lot of Word understanding so pretty much fell into not knowing for sure what to believe and that mind war got raging again. The pastor discerned what was going on I think and just told me to keep saying those three words over and over and moved on to the next person in line. Nothing much more happened during the service but that fluttery feeling and sense of His presence remained with me all the way home. In the privacy of home where my vanity and fear of what others might think wasn't quite as strong, i prayed some more and within a few minutes what seemed like a full vocabulary of distinct words began to flow accompanied by a joy that was very strong. I still didn't understand a word of it but it seemed very clear something had happened and He was right there with me....well....I guess He always is but i was able to sense that He was in a way I was unfamiliar with....new to me. I struggled with my mind a good bit for months and self-talk telling me I was making it up, I sound dumb....yadda yadda Eventually I kept telling those thoughts what He said, and He said "....those that believe SHALL speak with new tongues..." and i eventually forced those negative thoughts to line up with His Word. Over time the battle with unbelief was won and this prayer language became a treasured part of my time with Him. But there was another turning point too...and it was the day He highlighted these verses: It dawned on me I should be asking for interpretations. I didn't seem to get any for a long time, at least I didn't realize I was, but it wasn't long before I began having visual experiences where before I'd never "heard" Him except via reading the Word. And, enemy that my mind can be I had to wrestle with those too. For a while i stressed over whether what I was seeing was coming from Him or my own imagination....etc He cleared that up in time by guiding me into some Biblical understanding of what imagination is, why He gave us one, how it works and how He uses it. It had been a while I had been asking for interpretations of my prayers in tongues and I was getting frustrated because I hadn't gotten any. So I asked Him about that. It was like He stepped up and rapped His knuckles on my forehead and said something like "Hello? McFly, what in the world do you think those visions are?" ROFL....He's so tolerant and patient with His dain brammaged kids....... I can tell you He's revealed more to me about my own future and His purpose for it via that method of tongues and interpretation than any other means. I've never ever been used to deliver a message in tongues in the assembly, nor have I been given an interpretation when others with that gift gave a message in tongues. But the Word is true, and though tongues are likely the least of all the gifts, they are a precious gift. The Bible says we speak "mysteries" by the Spirit and praying in tongues edifies us....it's a good thing to be "built up" in Him. Through those interpretations He's revealed much about my call and how to walk in it more effectively and it certainly has enhanced my ability to understand how He designed me to serve Him and has made me more effective in doing so. We're encouraged to pray in tongues...and be built up in Him: It's good to be built up and more effective in service, but it's better still to excel in building up the church. We're told to pursue love and desire all the gifts, and to earnestly desire the best gifts, and the above verse seems to imply prophecy is one of the best if not the best. Some who apparently don't want all He has for them may try to discourage you from obeying Him in those Scriptures. I commend you to His Word. If you want all He has for us.....go for it...it's there for the asking, by grace, through faith. Since my initial struggles with my own stinkin' thinkin' He has seen fit to use me to display some of the other gifts from time to time, as the situation required and according to His will and choice.
  20. Hi Diane and welcome back! I'll tell you about something that happened to me nearly fifty years ago. I was walking home from the library one night with a friend, looking up at the stars, enjoying an easy conversation. I remember laughing and having a wonderful time, when all of a sudden, down I went! I had stepped right into an uncovered manhole. I tried to get up, but I couldn't walk. Strong arms lifted me up and carried me the rest of the way home. Falling away can be like that. You love the Lord and feel secure, when all of a sudden Satan lays a trap for you, and unawares, you step right into it. What you need to remember is that the Lord is still right there to lift you out of any dark place you fall into. You can't do life on your own. Tell Him you're sorry. Tell Him you need His help with knowledge, discernment, wisdom, mercy, grace, peace, patience, self-control, faithfulness, kindness, goodness, joy.... all the good and perfect gifts that come from Him that keep you grounded and able to avoid the pitfalls of Satan. Tell Him you need Him with you at all times! This means actually seeking His presence daily. Before you even get out of bed in the morning, ask Him to walk with you through the day. Spend time with Him in the Word, listening to His advice. If you have trustworthy Christian friends, they can pray with you, study with you, and help to hold you accountable, but ultimately it is your own personal relationship with your Savior that will keep you on the right path; and if you fall, He will be right there to lift you up.
  21. Hi, Diane…. So glad to see you back! Sometimes we all get off the path that Jesus would have us walk, but He always invites us back. He is saying to you right now, “This is the way, (now) walk in it!” Jesus’ path is full of light; that’s where you need to stay. …and the fact that you know that you cannot be at peace or happy unless you are living in the light of God’s love proves that you are His—that you belong to Jesus! Be encouraged, sis. Shine on! Isaiah 30:21 21 Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” Whenever you turn to the right hand Or whenever you turn to the left.
  22. I hope your fellow Christians are being loving and kind to you. It sounds like you are desiring a closer walk with Jesus again.
  23. One cannot share the gospel without explaining why there is a need for being saved. The bible tells us, that even though we might not say anything about hell; the knowledge of hell and condemnation is known to all humans instinctively. The book of Romans tells us of this fact. But while sharing the gospel, it needs to be done with tact and grace. What I see in several posts all over the forums is people ascribing someone else's sinful life that they see in person; be it at church or someone they know live and in person, to people online that they have never met or come into contact with on a physical level. This in itself is bearing false witness. A Christian might not be involved in drug addiction, drunkenness, fornication, adultery, or homosexuality, but a Christian may be big on false accusations, slander, backbiting, contention and strife on a message board. A lot of it comes from the pride of thinking that they are being zealous for the Lord and so they think that the false accusations, slander, backbiting, contention and strife in and of themselves on a message board isn't a sinful practice. You (a collective you, no one here specifically) can NOT see into a person's heart and know beyond all doubt that others are sinning or are making a habit of it. Your (again, a collective you) NOT there in person to see them sin. How much harm have well intentioned Christians have caused by posting pious-sounding hostile posts that make one guilty of ignorant judgments against others? A lot of people see the book of Job as a book on suffering. But it seems that the lesson of condemnation coupled with proof that a person is sinning is glossed over. Job's three friends accused him of living a sinful life. Their proof of it was because of the suffering he experienced. In the end, it was Job praying on their behalf for God to forgive them. Not the other way around. In the beginning of Job we see that God had attributed righteousness to Job. As the book comes to a close we see that even though God had declared him a righteous man, he wasn't entirely without sin. Here on a message board we have folks basing their accusations of willful sinning on eternal salvation. Since the book of Romans says that the Holy Spirit convicts an unbeliever of unrighteousness. We can also know that he will also convict a believer of it too. It isn't our job to convict people of sin. Our job is to share the gospel with others.
  24. kicking and screaming mostly but He's so patient..... Edit to add: but, He can be pretty adamant about not going any further til the kicking and screaming stops too been there, done that....got the t-shirt
  25. Thomas how many threads must you post on this issue? George has stated why and he is led by the Lord with this ministry? How many times must you rebel against the way this is set up? Cant you keep your complaints to one forum and one thread instead of all the ones you have going?
  26. their fire will not be quenched, and their worm dieth not? weeping and gnashing of teeth? dont sound like annihilationism to me. Rev 14:9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, Rev 14:10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: Rev 14:11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. Rev 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus. the wicked perish because God is life and they have no God in them. (I am the way, the truth and the life)
  27. better put a lock on your spoon drawer. them spoons are pretty sneaky too. making people fat.
  28. Well, the world does think we're a little bit peculiar. 1 Peter 2:9 For ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should show forth the praises of him who hath called you out of the darkness into his marvelous light; KJV
  29. One last comment. There were millions of Jews during the Holocaust that were tattooed for identification purposes, as they were numbered to be exterminated in the death camps. Those who survived have been pictured showing them, as a both a sign of the Lord's mercy, and having saved them out of from this terrible tragedy in which they had been appointed. God bless them all.
  30. ... the true church is all around ... simply start fellowshipping and praying that the Lord brings you the relationships that will continue to refine you as a believer. Don't look for the "perfect" church -- or the "perfect" ministry ... for within any organization is the fact that men run them in their sinful bodies! Look for those who will keep you accountable ... those who are able to tell you the truth in the spirit of GRACE AND TRUTH ... and those who are seeking the deeper understandings of God and encourage you to do the same! Welcome to Worthy! God bless, George

  34. I am reading the Psalms now in my Bible. This is one of my favorites. Praise for the Lord’s Mercies A Psalm of David. 103 Bless the Lord, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name! 2 Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: 3 Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, 4 Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, 5 Who satisfies your mouth with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. 6 The Lord executes righteousness And justice for all who are oppressed. 7 He made known His ways to Moses, His acts to the children of Israel. 8 The Lord is merciful and gracious, Slow to anger, and abounding in mercy. 9 He will not always strive with us, Nor will He keep His anger forever. 10 He has not dealt with us according to our sins, Nor punished us according to our iniquities. 11 For as the heavens are high above the earth, So great is His mercy toward those who fear Him; 12 As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us. 13 As a father pities his children, So the Lord pities those who fear Him. 14 For He [a]knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust. 15 As for man, his days are like grass; As a flower of the field, so he flourishes. 16 For the wind passes over it, and it is [b]gone, And its place remembers it no more. 17 But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting On those who fear Him, And His righteousness to children’s children, 18 To such as keep His covenant, And to those who remember His commandments to do them. 19 The Lord has established His throne in heaven, And His kingdom rules over all. 20 Bless the Lord, you His angels, Who excel in strength, who do His word, Heeding the voice of His word. 21 Bless the Lord, all you His hosts, You [c]ministers of His, who do His pleasure. 22 Bless the Lord, all His works, In all places of His dominion. Bless the Lord, O my soul!
  35. Dear all, I am going to need my brothers and sisters in Christ very soon. Can you help? Quick background- was a wishy washy, cultural Christian/ lukewarm Catholic/New Ager all my life. Live far from family with my non believing husband and small kids. In April, I joined a Bible based church and was Born Again. I have one good Christian friend and the pastor is great, as is his wife. Soon I will be going back to see family for a month. My family and friends are either lukewarm Christians or nonbelievers, or somewhere within that spectrum. I am going to be alone amd will be telling everyone about my conversion. I know that everyone will think Ihave lost my mind (trying not to care!) and that I will also be put in situations where I will be expected to behave like the old me. I know God will be there the whole time, and that any persecution glorifies Him, but I'm weak and nervous. Can anyone relate or offer advice? Can I have some backup from you guys? Thank you!
  36. The meaning of life is to find Him, and to have a personal relationship with Him, He told me. He wants to speak to you, teach and guide you, everyday.
  37. If the vision does not contradict the bible or lead you away from the Lord then it is possible it is from the Lord. There are some Christians who think that no one gets dreams or visions from the Lord now. And there are some who think every dream or vision is from the Lord. Dont listen to either extreme.
  38. I don't think I could or would have desired this. I believe one can "pray without ceasing" as the Bible teaches and read/study/meditate on the Bible daily without being permanently locked and sealed in a room the size of a walk-in closet or smaller. It would have driven me mad as a hatter. The Bible teaches to go out into the world and teach, preach, baptize, and make disciples. Not all can go across the world, but all can go across the street. My mother's pastor who just died last week spent his last year in a nursing home. He spent his time "going" to all the wings, pushing himself in his wheelchair, and visiting/praying with/preaching in the home. He was confined to the nursing home, but he "went" where God led him. We should follow Christ's example of sometimes going to solitary places to pray, but I see no one in the Bible having themselves bricked-up or mortared-up for life just to pray and read the Bible. Beside, to be honest, there was no deodorant, lice was rampant as well as dysentery, and no medications. Nope, not for me.
  39. Amen! Stay strong @Melinda12. If you ever need to talk about things or just vent, you can always post about it in here. As for my opinion, I think the forum has become a lot more peaceful than it was about 1-2 months ago. It's nice to see people post a variety of topics now rather than the old "OSAS" arguments everywhere. Good job @George, and thank you for dividing the Theology forum on this matter to clear the path for other discussions. I don't have a church I attend, so this forum is like a little oasis on the Internet. Even if when we have a difference of opinions between each other, it's still great to be around others who love the Lord passionately - even if it's digitally! Love & Shalom
  40. God bless and take care of you, dear one. I also am now without a church and not much fellowship. I come to Worthy each day, have gotten to know some of the members which I appreciate very much. It's nice when we are all kind and caring to each other. Life can sometimes be hard so as Christians, we should always love and support each other.

Greetings and Blessings in Christ, I am here for some good ole fellowship with others who value The Most Holy Written Word Of God. Not interested in church doctrine but what the Word Actually Says. I enjoy digging into the Greek meanings of the Words used in Scripture beyond what most commentaries write. For me I won't argue any point because the Word of God settles it and the Word has Worked all these years without my help. ;) Love and Hugs in Christ JMW
  42. praying and as any mother will tell you " STOP PICKING AT SCABS "
  43. Welcome to the forum Blessedknitter, our prayer is that you will find that which you are seeking, as together we go and grow in our knowledge and love for Him. Just as you pick up your needles and start a project, you begin to see things coming together and taking shape, so it is as The Lord deals with us in our lives, "out of little things, big things grow." God bless you on your journey.
  44. WELCOME, Blessedknitter! errrmm... are you a knitter? (just kidding) May you be blessed here.
  45. When peace like a river attendeth my way, When sorrows like sea billows roll Whatever my lot, thou hast taught me to say It is well, it is well, with my soul It is well With my soul It is well, it is well with my soul Though Satan should buffet, though trials should come, Let this blest assurance control, That Christ has regarded my helpless estate, And hath shed His own blood for my soul
  46. I know this sounds cliche, but I promise you it is the truth. God is at work in our lives — yours and mine at this very moment — to shape us into the vessels He would have us to be. Not the vessel He’ll be happy with a week from now, a year from now, or even a decade from now... but a vessel that will please Him to our everlasting benefit. This human life is a vapor. 80 years? 90 years? Hardly a blip on the radar compared to our everlasting life with Him. I’ve learned that God is not as interested in our human ambitions as we think He is. Whether or not we have a great career, lots of friends, a nice family... He will cut those things off in a minute in the interest of our greater spiritual good. Jesus tried very hard to explain this to us in Scripture. It’s better to cut off your right hand and enter God’s kingdom than to keep all your limbs and go nowhere. Those limbs don’t mean as much to God as they mean to us. He’s aiming to strip us down to a vessel fit for every good work. Nothing between us and Him. No idol in our hearts, no ambition we’re willing to disobey Him for, no concern for our own human success. Nothing but a passion to obey Him. That’s His aim for our lives. If you pray a lot for God to do a great work in your life, or to turn you into a great vessel for Him, get ready to start losing a few right hands, and yes, it will hurt. Children move out when they turn 18. Businesses close, money dries up, friends move away, spouses eventually die... and then what? Have you been hiding your life in Christ? And the Lord said unto Samuel, How long wilt thou mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? fill thine horn with oil, and go, I will send thee to Jesse the Beth–lehemite: for I have provided me a king among his sons. — 1 Samuel‬ ‭16:1‬ Your life is not what you thought it would be. Welcome to the Christian walk. Paul’s life didn’t work out the way he thought it would either. Get up, say goodbye to those old ambitions, and submit yourself to the mighty hand of God.
  47. Thanks! ❤️ Im sure God knew beforehand this topic, like many other non essential topics, would cause “division” within the Body of Christ......but I believe it is up to us to apply Christ’s greater teaching.....”They will know me by your love for one another (Body of Christ)......” When we get that down watch satan flee........unfortunately he has gotten a lot of miles out of dividing us over doctrines. Sigh!
  48. But but but that cant be true. The media and certain politicians have assured me that guns are fully responsible for killing people. (Said with tongue in cheek) Just so there is no misunderstanding, I do not think gun control is the answer. People kill people.
  49. A guy I used to work with had this BIG gorgeous tattoo on his arm! It said in beautifully tattooed letters “ KAREN”. I enjoyed meeting his wife of 30 years—- JOYCE! Never had the nerve to ask her opinion of tattoos .
