satan is the ultimate rip off artist. If a false prophet of the spirit of anti-christ shows signs and wonders why would ypou believe that they were anything but false?

he has power on earth given to him by God or he wouldnt have been able to offer the world to Christ " if you will bow down to me ......"

Sooo if he has that much power then I think he could if it suited his purpose ...how many times have you known unbelievers promise " anything " if someone they love is saved from " certain death " ?? . Would satan heal in order to "steal " a soul ??

The only authority and power that satan has are what God allows. he is completely under the control of God in as far as he is allowed to go.

It is a deceptive trap to ascribe any of satans false works for Good. There is only One who is Good and that is God.

Mr 10:18

And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.

Any lie or wonder that satan might work comes with a price that you don't want to pay.

Pay attention to the Word of God concerning him;

2Co 11:14

And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

The whole purpose of transforming himself, as in the Garden, was deceit.

2Co 2:11

Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

The works and wonders of satan are all lies and deceit.

Dave, If you go through life thinking that satan does not do good things for people to confuse them and make himself look as an angel of light, you leave yourself open to some pretty serious deception. I know from personal experience that he not only can, but does do things to portray both himself and some of his followers as good people doing good things.

As for supernatural things, I've seen things when I was involved with the demon studies I did back in the 80's that there was no explanation for. While I personally have not seen a healing, I have no doubt that he has the knowledge to make our bodies heal themselves and we would really not know the difference. Whether it's real or preceived, the outcome would be the same...... a confused human.

Where scripture tells us that there will be all kinds of "lying wonders" and you can take that as tricks that are taken as a wonder which make them a lie, or actual wonders that tell a lie about who is doing them. Either way you have a confused human.

While I would agree with you that God has ultimate control over the whole universe and he gave that authority to Jesus 2,000 years ago, I don't see Jesus exercising that authority on planet earth until the seventh trumpet. Until then the freewill of both humans and angels will let bad things happen to good people and Satan/Lucifer control this world by our own ignorance if nothing else.

If Christ is exercising his total authority here, then abortions, wars, murders and all the evil in this world can be laid at his feet...... I can not do that.

The Holy Spirit does interceed for us in some matters, and prayers get answered for some individual people, but not nearly for all.

We are told this is a foreign place and we don't really belong here, and I think I agree.

Soon it will not be the case, but that's when Jesus comes and takes this world by force. I think that is why we're instructed to pray that his kingdom come and his will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

If Christ is exercising his total authority here, then abortions, wars, murders and all the evil in this world can be laid at his feet...... I can not do that.

Scripture doesn't lay these acts at the Lord's feet and niether have I, nor should we, but it does quite definitively state in fact that He has defeated them, making an open show of them, and that He rules over them and soon will come and place them underfoot.

The earth is His footstool dear brother.
