I was watching a Television program that mentioned the estimated number of planets and stars in the Universe. It got me thinking: What do suppose is God's purpose for all of those planets out there? Do you think that one day they all be inhabited/ruled over by believers?

Any ideas? :noidea:

The Glory Of Jesus

Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created these things, that bringeth out their host by number: he calleth them all by names by the greatness of his might, for that he is strong in power; not one faileth. Isaiah 40:26

~

Here Today

Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. Revelation 4:11

And All Gone

And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. Revelation 21:1-5

So Long Long Time Ago

And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him: And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.

And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever. Revelation 22:3-5

Um brother mike, you make some wild claims here, the biggest is that Jesus and Paul said we are gods-but what you did not do is present scriptural evidence of said claims. So I ask, where is this in scripture?

Ellen G White believes we will have our own planets. (Google her "Ellan G white Planets") She is a Seventh Day Adventist. She had a vision where God showed her all this.

Ellen White is a false prophet and has been proven so over and over again.

When we are told we are gods, ,that was because we judge others and rule over others. That statement in no way means we are like God.

Jesus did call us gods, we are like our Father, just dumb and not near as smart as He is. Many get mad when I say that, but we are god in class, His class as the bible does not say any different. Your not half a cut above a monkey.

Mike, what is you stance on the Sabbath?

co-inheritors..

yes, i believe the whole of creation will be ours.

rulership is perhaps subject to discussion, but i like to believe that such responsibilities will be delegated in accordance with the adornment of our individual crowns on that glorious day of recognition.

perhaps someone else can shed some light on this..

Matthew 19:16-30

16 And, behold, one came and said unto him,

Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that

I may have eternal life?

17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou

me good? there is none good but one, that is,

God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the

commandments.

18 He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said,

Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not

commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou

shalt not bear false witness,

19 Honour thy father and thy mother: and,

Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

20 The young man saith unto him, All these

things have I kept from my youth up: what

lack I yet?

21 Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be

perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give

to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in

heaven: and come and follow me.

22 But when the young man heard that

saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had

great possessions.

23 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily

I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly

enter into the kingdom of heaven.

24 And again I say unto you, It is easier for a

camel to go through the eye of a needle, than

for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of

God.

25 When his disciples heard it, they were

exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be

saved?

26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto

them, With men this is impossible; but with

God all things are possible.

27 Then answered Peter and said unto him,

Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed

thee; what shall we have therefore?

28 And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say

unto you, That ye which have followed me, in

the regeneration when the Son of man shall

sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit

upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes

of Israel.

29 And every one that hath forsaken houses,

or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or

wife, or children, or lands, for my name's

sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall

inherit everlasting life.

30 But many that are first shall be last; and

the last shall be first.

love to you, Tinky.

Jesus did call us gods, we are like our Father, just dumb and not near as smart as He is. Many get mad when I say that, but we are god in class, His class as the bible does not say any different. Your not half a cut above a monkey.

Now, taking that understanding, The only place we are told to think we are equal with God was by Paul, who said Jesus believed the same thing, that He was equal with God.

Well, the Equal with God part was in the way God treats everyone, and if you get hit on one check, then turn the other, think yourself of no reputation, but be humble toward all men. The thinking we are Equal with God never covered having our own power, or being as smart. It was by nature only, and some have taken that and other scriptures to give us our own planets, and make us rulers over them.

You can't take one truth and extend it into what you want it to mean.

The scripture Jesus quoted is in Psalm 82. In that we see judgement for not being like the one that created us, but acting like natural man.

Ellen G White believes we will have our own planets. (Google her "Ellan G white Planets") She is a Seventh Day Adventist. She had a vision where God showed her all this.

I see in the word were we judge angels, I see in the word were we judge with the Lord Jesus, work with him. I see in the word where we are just like God.

What I don't see is any position of authority given that puts us on the same equal authority as God. Jesus said you can be like the master, but not greater.

John gave us the best answer, He recognized we are like God, his children, but he said something else.

1Jn 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

So the reason why God made all those cool planets, why its so vast is not given. One can only guess that God loves to create and is very creative. Johns answer is that it does not yet appear what we shall be. If John did not know, then Ellen G. White would not know. The only thing we do know is that we will serve with, and under the Lord Jesus.

Jesus Is Lord.

I only knew about the Mormons believing the best Mormon men would become gods who would rule over and populate their own planets. It sounds like the temptation in the garden of Eden to me. "if you eat of the fruit you will be like god knowing both good and evil." Jesus only promised us a mansion, not a planet. And it might only be a room in His mansion. Again, it is dangerous to go beyond what the Bible teaches, even if it is fun to speculate.

Onelight:

When we are told we are gods, ,that was because we judge others and rule over others. That statement in no way means we are like God.

Thank you Onelight, I was trying to show the belief system that makes us ruler over planets.

I would appreciate it if you provide scripture to back up that we will rule on other planets.

I disagree though, you are just like your Father, because each seed produces after it's own kind. We are not half a cut above a monkey. We are to take up God's nature, be like he is, and act like he does. Without that nature, we are no more than animals. You can't obey Jesus by nature and be perfect like God, and be less in nature than He is. God made us like him for a reason, and that is to fellowship with someone like him.

I can fellowship with my cat, but not near what fellowship with my son would be.

Your outrageous statement about being a cut above a monkey is just an either/or statement you are using to bolster your belief ... either I agree with you or we are a cut above a monkey. How sad to throw in suck a statement.

Are you without sin? Are you God? Such statements only show the lack of understanding you hold about the real meaning of the term "gods" , which is what is used in both John 10:34 and Psalms 82:6.

Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, “You are gods”’?

I said, “You are gods, And all of you are children of the Most High.

If you would dig into the meaning of the lower cased word "gods" you would find there are many "gods" in the past, each of which are not the same as God.

There is only one belief system that I know of that believes we will become God, the Mormons. There is a sect within the Word of Faith movement that believes that since God is in us, we are God, and all we have to do is look inside ourselves for everything. Which are you?

By nature Onelight, not power, not some God status. We have to drop our preconceived thinking and look at what was meant. John said we will be just like him, but also said it does not yet appear what we shall be. If John don't know, then Nobody knows.

It is sad that you do not understand our place in Him. If we are to be God, then why would we need to receive rewards? Why need Christ and the New Jerusalem where we will always be in His presence if we are like Him??

There is yet another created being that believed he was like God, and he was defeated. Be careful what and who you follow.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
