There are definitely all kinds of unusual beings created by God in the celestial heavenly realm.  But we were created by God in the bodies of the terrestrial earthly realm.

good angels.....   bad angels......    description sounds like an angel......    I've never heard a demon described like that anywhere else......   the two that lived with us for a few years surely didn't look anything like that.

:13: Woah woah woah!  You have got to recount this story in far greater detail!

I've talked about it before and it would really take this thread into a different realm.......

dont see any wings on the angels God sent to earth over the years. I found 68 listingsof angels none had wings.

So to say these two women are described as an angel where does that though come from?

thanks

they are heavenly beings......   there are all kinds of entities that can be Gods workers......   I guess I just refer to them all as angels....    just different kinds......    There are the winged things that were represented on the ark of the covenant.   Archangels Cherubim and other kinds....    Angel is a generic term from my understanding of the word.     And at least two of them were female with wings.

I see what you mean about Generic name. In the verses he speaks of  the Angel speaking to him. Now I would think he would recognize the two females as angels and call them angels; rather than call them women. So it looks like this one is confusing.

Can we become an angel after death?

Not after death, but those that are saved believers that have been found abiding in Him and His words as His disciples by His grace & by His help, will be resurrected as those alive will be changed to be akin to angels when the Bridegroom comes to receive the ready bride at the pre tribulational rapture event.

Luke 20:34 And Jesus answering said unto them, The children of this world marry, and are given in marriage: 35 But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage: 36 Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection.

If scriptures states that we will become as Christ when we see Him (and it does by the way), why do some folk insist we shall be like the angels, which are created beings?

I cannot find ANY reference in scripture that indicates we shall become like angels.....nerd_20.png

Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.  I John 3:2

Equal to angels, in that resurrected bodies do not procreate, does not mean necessairly that we become angels...Jesus had a resurrected body...he had not become an angel

See Post #92  Luke 20:34-36.  I must have posted it just before you did and maybe that is why you did not see it then.

As per your reference;  Jesus went through walls;  maybe those worthy to obtain that resurrection to be like angels will too?

Jesus basically did many things we do not do even before His resurrection.  He is God.  God did not create people to be angels.  He created angels to be angels and human beings in

the image of Himself as per Genesis...1st chapter

And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.  Gen 1:26

Therefore and even APART from what John writes, it does not seem angels are what God has in mind.  A spiritual body is a spiritual body no matter the title...however,

John indicates we shall have a resurrection body likened to the one Jesus had/has.

Further, believers will also judge angels...angels apparently, will not be judged by angels.  Angels are also not the reedeemed of God and they marvel at our redemption:

Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.   I Peter 1:12

How can someone ignore I John 3:2? and other like passages that are in agreement with what John writes?

As they were talking about these things, Jesus himself stood among them, and said to them, “Peace to you!” But they were startled and frightened and thought they saw a spirit. And he said to them, “Why are you troubled, and why do doubts arise in your hearts? See my hands and my feet, that it is I myself. Touch me, and see. For a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see that I have.” And when he had said this, he showed them his hands and his feet.  Luke 24: 36-43

Who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself.  Phil 3:21

Jesus has a resurrected body...He is not an angel and we will have a body like His as when we see Him, we shall become LIKE Him.

I don't that is confusing or actually leaves room for conjecture regarding the op

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
