Was Nostradamus from God. Did he really get all the prophecy right.

I ignore nostradamus tigs. His so called prophecies are quite vague and is tied too much to new age stuff for me to pay attention to them. I prefer to stick with the bible.

No, tigger I'd have to agree with jade on that... Nostradamus was steeped in mystic occultism. While some of his predictions did coincide with historic occurrences, not all of them did. 100% accuracy is the mark of a true prophet, and I don't recall anything about Nostradamus claiming to be one. Definitely steer clear of this one.

I agree with the last 2 answers. You also have to realize that devils like to play the prophesy game with any humans willing to do it.  One way they draw people in is by telling people things that are not of any great significance. Even if it involves the death of an ancient king, if that king was a key figure in God's plans then it's of no significance. God doesn't tell people things about the future to make them popular in History books. But devils do stuff like that.

 

Another important thing to remember is this. God never said that fortune tellers can never be right, or that they're all fakes. What God DID say is that we ought not to consult them. There are a few reasons for this. The main one is they can pull us away from God.  Another is a human can lose his/her sanity by getting involved with them. This happened to a member of my family, so I know what I'm saying.  Forgive me if you knew this already.

nostradamus did reading for financial gain.....   What he was doing doesn't seem to me to be anything even close to what God has Prophets to do.

 

He saw visions and reported them to the people who came to him for readings......  I do believe this was condemned in both the old and new testaments.

 

That doesn't mean that much of what he said and/or saw did not come about.....   the dark side makes much of the things we deal with today happen from behind the scenes.

I don't trust Nostradamus. If a prophecy is not Biblical then I don't trust it. That's not to say that he didn't get some things right, but how do you know which is right and which isn't? Even the Devil gets it right sometimes, but then again he speaks the truth sometimes as the best liars do - if they never spoke the truth, we'd always know that they were lying!

I have to agree with Jade. The stuff of his that I read was so vague it was worse than a fortune cookie. It was written so mysticly it was hard to make anything of it in the first place. You had to use your imagination to think what he said meant the things some people say. It just wasn't that specific.

When there are prophecies in the Bible God names names, places, even times in some prophecy. Then when they come true exactly as written people who don't want to believe claim it had to have been written after the events to be so exact. But the same people who don't want to believe God will claim that Nostradamus was a prophet. What a joke.

No one usually focuses on the hundreds of false predictions of Nostradumus.  Also, even the "correct" ones require extra interpretations and word changes to make it true.  I could make hundreds of predictions right now and I guarantee that a few will end up right, and others with be some extra interpretational help.
