Yeah they do and I think the reason for that is that most people are not going to make a post saying nothing but "I agree". So naturally the ones where people disagree get more posts as everybody likes to be heard. Such is the nature of message boards.

If you only knew how many times I heard my mother say that......    oh boy....

Blessings......

    God has Blessesd me well with a "singing voice:,,,,,but for His Glory,,,,,,when I was young I sought my own Glory,perhaps it is a good thing ,,,,,I have learned much ......

     Today I went to the doctor & when I was finished I proceeded top go to the reception desk to get my next appt....................there is a loooong corridor to walk & on the way I must have passed at least a dozen people with scowls on their face.............I am always smiling pretty much & gave them each a warm friendly glance,,,,they just remained looking so miserable,no response....................hmmm,"I prayed.Father use me"........at once He put a song on my heart & into the elevator I began singing"Smile though your heart is aching_."......& the men in the elevator began to mile & followed "the song"into the parking lot    "Smile even though its aching".....so they followed closely behind & others came to listen as I walked to my car,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,finishing "......................if you JUST SMILE".......I heard that old familiar sound of applause ....turned to see all the smiling faces & shouted"Praise the Lord ,God Bless you all........"

      This time,it was for the Glory of God,His song,His Words,His Praise,His Honor,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,& Thankgiving to Him................We serve a Living God Who is always ready to Embrace His creation with Love.........................Just ask............                              With love-in Christ,Kwik

Great story. Praise God. Smiles are infectious. When I'm walking down the street and see a person smile I smile as well.

I was blessed by the Lord with helping my parents out with Share or 2nd Harvest.  But as you say Kwik, it was the Holy Spirit in me, especially while we were serving the workers food, and I had to watch in horror, as the few Snicker Doodles, we had for them when quickly, oh God forgive me I wanted so many Snicker Doodles for leftover to take home, but God in His mercy only allow me three.  I LOVE Snicker Doodles.

 

Later when I thought we were done, my sister voluntold, me for an extra chore, helping some people, carry heavy boxes.  She told them,  he (me) may be skinny but he is a lot stronger than he looks.

oh my sister that is truly beautiful... Like something I would watch on Godtube, it certainly could of been put on there. How beautiful when we can be bold to do as Jesus asks us too... and step out to bless others. So many times I have also stepped out to be obedient to my Lord. And through much fear... I still stepped out saying in my heart through much trembling, Its NOT for me Lord, but ALL for you!!!!

Anything good coming from me is of God. When self rises up it usually just messes up the work of God. So my constant battle is to allow the flesh to die each day so that Christ may work His work..

What encouraging words,all.

 

Now Kwik I don`t have a good voice like yours, & I would have loved to have heard you pied piper all those people & encourage their hearts. But I do love playing music. Anyway I like to `sing` with my heart. When I`m out with friends having coffee etc I always try to engage the person serving us. really responding to them waiting upon us. And over the time I/we have grown to know different ones & even chat for a while with personal things or a joke. Some have asked us to pray for them. It is the little daily opportunities done from the heart, I believe that reaches another`s heart by the power of the Holy Spirit.
