Who should we pray to?

The Father god, or Jesus Himself?  Does it matter?  I  know it says to pray in Jesus name to the Father.  But I have recollection of something contrary to this?  Maybe my memory is faulty here.  Sometimes it is.  Where are the scriptures that show these things.  I am not gifted in remembering where scripture is.  At all.  Way down at the bottom my gift list. lol.

The reason I came up with this question is after reading Ephesians 1 22-23. And He put all things in subjection under His feet and gave Him as head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.

So if he is head of all things to the church, why would we still be praying to the Father.

Because he is not head over the Father.....   it is my understanding that we should be praying to the Father in (through) Jesus Name.   I've been doing it so long that I really don't address it specifically to either these days.   I just speak as though two friends are in the same room talking to each other.

I seem to do both, tho lately it has been to the Father. Less intimidated now. Truth be told, ive had both answer me.

I pray to the Father through the Son every time.  It just seems natural.

Jesus taught the disciples how to pray, to the Father.

Jesus gave us the Lord's Prayer as a model to follow ..pray to the our Father Who is in heaven ...but then he said in another place ...anything you ask the Father ..In My Name. So we pray coming before the Father's throne with our thanks and petitions in Jesus Name.

Never forget to ask the Father to bless Israel and bring peace to Jerusalem...for they are blessed who do so.

They are one in the same yet seperate at the same time.  I don't understand how it works, but I believe it.  I kinda pray as though talking to one is the same as talking to the other so I just kinda alternate based on how I'm feeling from moment to moment, though perhaps it'd make for some interesting self-observations to pay more attention to when and why I switch back and forth.  Good question, pemelasv.
