You think it's all about 'misbehaving teens'?  There are INFANTS that have been raped by pedophiles so, yes, I think the state definitely should be actively involved in the matter.  Taking sexually explicit photos of young children is sick and perverted.  People did marry very young in the past but we don't live then.  Would you let your nine year old daughter marry? Is it okay to take pictures of a five year old nude or to make videos of young children being raped to sell?  Educate yourself and find out what kind of harm can be done to children by stuff like this.  I see you're into conspiracy theories; the state created the problem and  politicians want to keep pedophiles in prison to enrich themselves?  Do you not understand that the citizens demand it?  And this 'Pizzagate' is a fake news story; look it up.

MG, the Pizza place is a false story, but the background sex trafficking may well not be.  That is what Breitbart was working on when he died. In my opinion the pizzagate story is something planted to deflect people from really looking into the subject rationally.

Absolutely!!

Having taught school for 32 years - 27 in the public school and 5 in the Christian schools - I can wholeheartedly agree with you about this NOT being about "teen's misbehaving".

This is about adults - men AND women - perversely and grotesquely abusing a child's body for their own sexual gratification.  I've seen it from nursery school to junior high.  It's sick - NOT the child's fault - and so many times the child or teen is brainwashed with a fear of being killed that they won't tell.

I don't say this lightly or in hyperbole, but I could tell you stories that you make you be depressed the rest of the day and maybe even sick.  It's just that bad and horrible perverted.

I'll tell none of those stories today or any other time.  I'll just say that public school or Christian school -it made no difference.  And the child is never at fault.

I agree.  Pizzagate is false.  Sex trafficking is real.

Both CNN and Fox News has found the story to be false.  And, just for the record, I have NO trust in the MSM.  Please don't foist your assumptions on me.

Blessings......

I really have not read all these pages of replies,& won't......I think I prefer to stay on Topic

This topic came up in our household based on the subway spokesman charges. Im curious what your responses are.

A spouse looks at inappropriate material (child porn) but does not engage in it with anyone. Only views it online. Obviously a crime and needs to be dealt with. What is a biblically correct response by the spouse? Is it acceptable biblically to divorce the spouse in this instance?                           Jade

And Omegamans response

Quote

I would opine that is might well be Biblically allowable, just as divorce itself is Biblically allowable. That is to say that is might be within God's permissive will, but not was He desires. As you know, He allows some things because of the hardness of our hearts. I think things like love, healing, forgiveness, etc, are a higher calling.

When Jesus made allowance for divorce, He used the Greek word porniea (I think I spelled that right). Some of our translations make that out to be "fornication". but it is a broader term that fornication. Some translations use the word 'immorality', but that is way to broad, we are all immoral.

Sexual immorality is probably a good way to translate it, but even narrowing that down could be tough. What one person consider immoral, another considers normal. I feel safe in saying that whatever God has specifically allowed, is o.k. (read here hetero relations within marriage) and using the body as it was intended. Beyond that I feel like I would be going out on a limb, and no one should act in a way that is against their own conscience, but I do not think that means that you can divorce a person for doing something just because it would violate your conscience if you did it.

One thing I feel reasonably confident in saying, is that a person should not use it as an excuse to divorce, when the person was wanting to divorce and was just waiting for a chance to justify it. We usually say things like "for better and for worse, til death do we part".

Question: Did we mean it when we took a vow?                                                 Omegaman

I too would have to ask myself that question......What about the vow, before God "For better or worse"

How can one know anything about 'Biblical correctness" if they are not Eternal Minded & putting God First in their daily lives, obviously someones "mind" is not on God,His Ways or His Word if they are wandering off into these carnal minded thoughts, pleasures, lusts etc......it is not time to focus on the crime/sin but on the Deliverer of these strongholds......we have a common enemy,it is all the same problem & the same cure.....the enemy is busy doing what he does best, recognize & address the bondage,it is as though the 2 have become unequally yoked, isn't it........It is time to run to the Lord, the Only One that matters...time to remind the spouse WHO is the Center of our Lives and seek His Council,His Love,Healing,Deliverance & Forgiveness      In Christ Jesus             With love-in Christ,Kwik

(Minor rant. Jadey hates having to scroll allllll the way down just to start a topic.)

It probably would depend on the situation. No doubt it's a crime.

Some would say love the person. Others would say you don't have to stay in such a relationship. Still others would recommend at least a separation and some serious counseling.

I recently found out some friends will be getting divorced after less than 2 years of marriage. Turns out one spouse (the husband) is HIV positive and the disease has progressed to AIDS. I feel terribly sorry for this young wife.

We live in a fallen world.

God bless,
GE

Hi Tjm6,

My heart goes out to you. How utterly devastating. I will pray for you & your husband. Trust is broken.

Do you know the Lord? Do you know how to reach out to Him?

regards, Marilyn.

I do. Other wise I'm sure I would be a heap load more of a mess than what I already am. My husband is a Christian as well, which blows me away even more. I guess we all have our sins we struggle with, harboring bad feelings, eating to much, getting angry, but this destroys his family to its core. How could he! I don't really even know how to pray right now. My mind feels blank. I can't even think of what to get the kids for Christmas. I've lost all of my energy to do anything. You know.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
