Amen Mega. Back to the Topic  :)

And back to the topic means that church membership is a two-way street. Christians expect certain things from their church, but churches should expect certain things from their members. And it is not a matter of "feeling" (as many churches have made it out to be) but of fulfilling what Christ expects from His churches (Acts 2, Revelation 1-3). Sitting on the sidelines while fault-finding will not get one anywhere. If the church member is saying "What have you done for me lately?" The Lord is also saying "What have you done for me lately?"

Amen brother. We are speaking of individual congregations, that are ( sometimes ) within individual denominations, etc. The bottom line is, the true " church " is the body of Christ Jesus, which is the culmination of ALL who are believers and follow Him. As a member of that GREATER organization, it is our responsibility to actually " follow " Him. To accomplish that means, wherever and with whomever we find ourselves, we do our very best to REFLECT Him in all we do or say, amen ?

Amen.

What is seriously missing in too many churches today is (a) genuine fellowship and (b) genuine shepherding. Many Christians are discouraged in their private walks, but there are few who are coming alongside to encourage and strengthen and bless them. Many Christians are suffering physically, financially, emotionally, and spiritually, and they are not being properly cared for with Christian care. Many Christians are not receiving the milk and meat of the Word of God, but shallow substitutes which cannot satisfy. All these things can be rectified, but where there is no vision the people perish.  And where there is no Christ-like leadership, the sheep are scattered.  Thus the sheep are being scattered while the wolves are flourishing. A sad state of affairs.

Are you Jesus Christ, who have come to the world to Judge his people? Are you that prophet? Or are you the mindreader? Who are you? are you the Annoyntted one? When are you going to start the new church?

?? Your response to what Sinnersaved said. I did not find those elements in his post. I must have gone to a different school in my younger days.

Everyone is different.

I have a friend who hates my church, the music, the teachings..... I love it.     Her church is a cult, She  is Seventh Day Adventist and everyone that does not worship on Saturday is in trouble. When you tell people that you are going to be required to worship on Saturday in Heaven and other things like that , you are going to loose people.  The music, praise and worship music she becomes almost rabid about, she hates it.  As far as she is concerned  it is only the old hymns, everything else is disrespectful.  I would die a slow death of boredom at her church,  There is no life and she wonders why the membership has gone from about 90 to less then 25.

If the word of God is taught and it is 100% scriptural there is nothing wrong with it.  It's all in what you are looking for.

I look for Jesus and if I don't see him I don't stay.

Good post.

I notice that you keep bringing up the Sabbath question and SDA's in some of your posts... there must be more to your feelings about it. What do you think the issue is? Are you disappointed about a separation among loved ones?

My Church makes me feel closer to God.  I don't go there for warm fuzzies, or to be entertained.  My Church does not try to give me warm fuzzies or entertain me.   I go to meet and worship God in union with other like-minded believers.  Is that not what the goal of believers gathering together for church, where ever that may be, should be?

you are right  thereselittleflower, that was the idea to be with others in one mind ,and one according believing and praising God , in a assembly of saints united,

but every church I have gone too, they praise God with their lips, and shout and say amen, and then go out ,and act like the world and treat people ungodly and act like they are so much better then others, so it is a sad for me to see this, even the ones I looked up at as teachers and pastors, I can see right through them , by reading my bible and seeing there fruits, with my eyes wide open, from the holy spirit , it is easy to spot.

so I believe we have some really great acting going on, luke warm and Christian atheists  every were, but it is good if you can find a rare church today , that are strong and inline with the bible, and produce good fruits  and feed the sheep,, I know there is a lot of great believers out there, I know this to be true, but we are few compare to the large scale of real believers ,that make it there life, and not just a belief ,for we are to be the doers of the word ,not only the hearers

for broad and wide is the path that leads to destruction and hell and many go there, but hard and narrow is the way , and only a few find it, jesus has told us, not to be deceived, but watch for the wolves in sheeps clothing.we are sent out in a evil world and we must know that He is God and the Holy Spirit dwells with in you,

And your body is the temple and His spirit , is within us, this tells you that you are the true church ,the true called out ones,

Are you Jesus Christ, who have come to the world to Judge his people? Are you that prophet? Or are you the mindreader? Who are you? are you the Annoyntted one? When are you going to start the new church?

I am sinner - saved ,by grace, and I will forgive you, for that lashing you are trying to bring to light, which is not nice, and not cool, but anyway,

but I will answer your question ? , Sir, no, I am not Jesus , I am not a mind reader. and I am not a prophet, and I don't see ,me starting ,any churches here any time soon,

but I can tell you  this ,we all come from different walks and backgrounds in life, and so I try to listen to people more ,then talk, and not place judgment, my points are general , and of truth,  if you think I am trying to change church, or what I don't like about it, through my own experiences, no I am not,

but keep this in mind, when you focus on the cross and read about Gods ,holy word,   there is nothing ! , or no one !, that can shake my faith, of what ,I believe in Jesus that I worship, from the bible, for I have sat down thought about it ,and meditated on what I say before I say it, for we are accountable for every idle word that we speak,. and this is what I learn, in the bible that I read,

You are not a sinner, and you are a good brother, but I had to ask. Thank you for taking the time to answer. I apreciate that, and if you are upset about it,  you have the right to be, only please don't pray for me, and I won't pray for you, I think no one should pray for someone else, unless they ask. let me think what I said and try to figure this one out and why, maybe I was worrying about you, but that's all about it.

I disagree my friend.  Even if someone were to tell me not to pray for them, I would still pray for them.  They don't need to know I am. ;)

We are all sinners.   Paul even said he was the worst of all sinners.

When someone believes in Jesus is not in ones own sins, that's what Jesus was teaching, and for that matter, hope the disciples.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
