I know this sounds petty but ? ....when you have been told to say "hello" to the person sitting next to you at church, and you don't really feel like it, but you do it anyway and then worse part of it all, you then feel like a fake...!

Oh yeah I get that. My church use to make us all stand up at the start of the service and go shake hands with everyone.

When people ask me the time.  Go buy a watch and keep it on.   In this day and age, with smart phones ect and the price of a watch dog cheap.  Just my beef, don't know why.  I guess i use to get annoyed before smart phones, some of the same people would ask the  time all the time and well grrr

Yeah that annoys me too. One day I though about just buying a bunch of watches so when someone asked me what time it was i'd give them a watch

Listening to irritating commercials or commercials that are being mouthed by irritating people. two examples of these are the Zyppah, which is that anti-snoring thing that is mouthed by one of the most nauseating people on the planet. this guy has a deeply nassel, New Jersey accent that reminds me of fingernails on a chalkboard.

the next one it the 23 and me commercials about the chromosome testing that is supposed to tell you everything about where you came from that is of the least significance to anyone. These people seem to want to expand my neckhair so much I look like a peacock.

Hi hate the commercial using ladies with shrill voices.  In fact, I tape most shows so I can fast forward the commercials.  I also hate all the commercials in professional football games.  I mean, lets just get to the game!  I would rather see how the guy is doing who got knocked out on the field than listen to salesmen.  There are a few commercials that I enjoy--most of the Aflac commercials make me smile.

2. sort of ties in with #1, I can't stand bullies.

I often remember to clean my windshields when being tailgated.

I would suggest answering their request with Military Time, but that may cause them to ask you even more questions about it.   grrr.

I used to attend a church where you were to turn to the one next to you, look into their eyes and say, 'I love you with the love of the Lord'...ugghhh.

I went to one similar and then we shook hands or big hugs some scents irritate my eyes and nose and it never failed that someone who used 1/2 bottle of perfume grabbed me and clinged for what seemed forever?

It shouldn't be forced but from a willing heart?

....We all have some stuff about people which irritate us. What are some of yours?...

<_<

Presumptive individuals?

Does that count?

Actually, I am having a hard time thinking of anything that annoys me. Usually I get flat out mad never letting a thing just annoy me. :D

Seriously though;....

Yep, people that say "seriously though" can be an annoyance. - What, everything I just forced myself to stay attentive to out of a bored courtesy was not serious? You were just yakking? And now I have to anticipate hearing yet more?

Ah the church meet and greet - or share a germ, I used to hate that too, thinking it was insincere, until I sincerely started to greet people too. It only took me 12 years to find and feel the warmth. Turns out it wasn't "their" problem, but mine -

I still have trouble with  the passing out of the implements for Lords Supper, don't you? Ha, unsanitary! What if another's hand touches the same bit of wafer as I take? What if someone breathes upon the cup? Oh oh!

The principle of the old idiom, "You have to eat a peck  of dirt before you die!", once made into a proverb to live by, is quite freeing of the spirit for it allows such  generous freedom  to withstand what used to annoy.

But seriously....

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
