Yup. The title says everything. Well, my family is Christian and they believe in Christ but they don't give it too much importance. Of course they go to the Church every Sunday and they pray. I'm scared they won't go to Heaven and I don't think telling them this thing will make them feel better. What can I do? Or will they go to Heaven?

I have had these feelings too, when we had friends and know some people, in our family or not, who still haven't accepted Christ and are blind.

What can I do?

It is not something we can do, only God. What we can do is to pray and just do what God lead us to.

And what we can do is to live as we were instructed by the Lord Jesus, by walking in His Spirit, avoiding evil.

People who are not saved look at Christians differently, and God can use it in some way to show them what great things He can do to people's lives if they turn and come to Him.

I remember when I was lost and while I was hearing a music which made me think: "Am I following Jesus?! Really, am I?! Then I came to the conclusion I was not.".

Then God used that to make me think about it. Then after that He convinced me of reading His Word so that I could know Him, then I could see He was right: I was not following Him.

And today I thank the Lord Jesus for opening my eyes and for healing me.

You have to pray for them and tell God your concerns for your family. Ask God to allow your family to search their hearts. I think you should be honest with them and tell them your concerns.

What are they doing wrong exactly? I don't think it's any worry as long as you don't see them doing outright sinful things with a loving embrace. I mean plenty of us here don't go to church every Sunday either, though prayer is very important.

Also, telling them you're scared that they won't get into heaven is actually a sign of affection than anything else.

Frankly even the most chivalrous, most charitable, and honesty person among us is not good enough to enter heaven on their own account so I don't think you or any of us can see the state they're in with regards to salvation, even if you see that they produce works, whose to say that they really embraced Christ? And if their lips say that they do? Only God knows and see's their heart, but I still think you have it better than most considering they have an active church and prayer life. I would say you have no reason to worry, in the state that this world is in you have it better than most.

Lastly, I don't think you should always try to make them "feel better" for the sake of that feeling, you should really consider momentary discomfort of a harsh truth if it would help them get into heaven. Don't become a 'yes-man' and tell people what they want to hear, churches would be filled to the brim with hedonists if the churches only preached what made the crowd feel good.

I think most of us have this worry, mat.  All we can do is speak to them and pray for them.  God is the only one who can draw them closer to Him.  I worry about two of my family members, atheists, and I realize that I can't bring them to the Lord.  But I CAN pray that He reaches out to them.  He only expects us to spread His word, not to force it on anyone.

Hi Mat007

My heart breaks for my family.  However, MG is right.  God said that the sower went out to sow.  He threw the seed in four different places.  Some of it fell on good soil.  I often pray that my family have good soil in their hearts, that the seed of the Word of God might fall in there; be nurtured and spring up to yield thirty, sixty and a hundred fold.  Only God can cause the growth.  I pray fervently for them every day, and have to leave the rest up to our Master. God bless bro.

1. Nobody knows. 2. Better reserve from  criticism. Better talk about some definite sins neutrally in a form of opinion exchange without reference to any person.

The only best thing you should do is to love them and behave like Jesus. Let the fruits of the Spirit flow through you.

Are you able to read their mind or to see deep in their heart to know what they are feeling or if they have redemption?

let God do his work. Don't live by the fear of hell; keep announcing the reign of God ;)

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
