Why is Jesus not here ?

What if people were praying the same thing back in 1968 and Jesus came back then because people were sick of all the sin and suffering.

Well, I would have went to hell because in 1968 I was not saved.  I was saved in 1969.

I do so want Jesus to come back, but he wants people to be saved.  Others here have used the scriptures that I was going to use so I won't repeat them.

Jesus will not come back until all have heard.

IF we took this seriously and prioritized everything in life accordingly... it would have taken only a few generations after his ascent to heaven to bring in all who would believe in him in all history.

This is only my opinion / belief on the subject, of course. ← which means subject to total scrutiny and most likely untrue unless it aligns with biblical truth.

But God knows all things. That means all the variables for having given mankind limited amounts of sovereignty (free will). He knows who would and who would not believe in his Son Jesus. 

The thing is, given the Church's lack of putting his commandment to evangelize the lost as top priority... the humanist traditions that deceive the Church (the chiefest being the division of clergy and laity in the new covenant)... God has to "seed" believers through a prolonged history so that their potential conversion can be realized. 

In short, you and I were born when, where, and how so that we would have that come to Jesus moment we would not have had (given our individuality) at any other point. 

The real hell of this is that countless millions of people who will not believe in Jesus (and would have been better off if they had not bee born) are born and go to eternal hell...

because WE who believe in Jesus do not take this commandment seriously enough.

That IMHO is what delays the Messiah.

Moreover, there will NEVER be a point in history in which everyone will be Christian.

Therefore, every second that separates us from the rapture means that someone is born in this world, will reject Jesus and go to Hell

Hello @Wayne222,

When the Lord comes next, He will come in judgement and  the 'day' of grace will have passed.  God desires that none should perish, but that all should come to a knowledge of His saving grace.  He is patiently giving us time.  So, though I want Him to come,  yet I have loved ones who need His salvation, and am grateful that - now is still the day of salvation.

'The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, 
as some men count slackness; 
but is longsuffering to us-ward, 
not willing that any should perish, 
but that all should come to repentance.'
(2 Peter 3:9)

Actually isn't it the other way round? For are not all without merit,  no one saves themselves, nor another person, all are destined for hell except by the mercy of God extended from before time itself began to those He has given to Christ Jesus who does not lose a one.

 The creation is for the pleasure of the creator and not the creator for the pleasure of the creation. Who is so worthy that they may tell the creator when he should return and why?

Sorrow Will Turn to Joy

Yes the Lord could stop all those for a moment, but then man`s selfish heart would not be changed, and man would still go on with all that evil. That is why there will be judgment and those whose heart`s have been changed will go into the New Heavens and New earth.
